  I had honestly not paid too close attention to those stats yet so that's a good call. I remembered they now have a max of 80% but thought the 72% might be because of my character's strength being below 10... When it comes to the stats like that I typically give difference to the devs and in the case of Alpha here I expect changes are made from patch to patch that might change little things they don't have the time to inform us about in detail.

  I wasn't going to say anything, bc I know it's just minor & being more careful will fix it, but I've closed the game 3 times now because the X's are so close together. I'm gonna guess I'm not the only one who's done this. A person is focused on getting somewhere, and checking their orientation in the wilderness and which way to head at a crossroad. A person could really appreciate some compassion from the developers. The two X's are almost identical and within a centimeter of each other. I'm thrilled to be able to even play, so I don't wanna whine about trifles, but this is a QOL fix to put well up the list. Thanks for listening!

I'm hoping Fractured will have better PvE than the other worlds, though, and perhaps trashing gear for death in PvE on Arboreus would be good, if only in hardcore PvE areas.

  It would be really helpful if we can get some sort of indication on the map where your party / guild members are currently are. If they are offline or online. where the party member dead bodies are so that we can go collect them. Just some quality life improvements.

  @Stacy555 It's an alpha test with a specific focus and very little content - if you played the previous tests, it should take you about half a day to do everything and unlock all abilities. Of course the server will be mostly empty after 3 days!

  As @Shivashanti pointed out, 18 is the maximum in a single stat during creation for humans. You can get additional points by: 2 points: enchantment 2 points: talent tree For a total of 22 points possible. You won't be able to achieve that in every stat. I hope that helps, Silynx

  @Wika There are very few features in the game right now. I think if we fill the cities with a minimum number of players, we can populate the entire mainland. The test will be over soon and I suggest we have some fun last. No hard work, just fun for those entering the game right now. There is no need to rebuild the whole city, only the town hall, perhaps a bank. You can have a country house and then changing the city will not affect your home.

  There has been past talks about how sieges and pvp for towns will work in the Devs eyes/thoughts. Not sure how it will work based on the different planets.

Playing this game is reminding this old hippie of one of the Substance Users Pearls of Wisdom(tm): "When you're high, every task is a production number. When you're tripping, it's an ordeal." Fractured breaks down so many goals a person might choose into LOTS of component parts (hmmm... the name is more apt than I'd realized til just this moment). That's a feature, not a bug, so if you hate that it's a good thing to find out NOW.

  Actually one need not join a Guild to join a city. Yes, many of the cities will be Guild controlled, but by no means all of them. Non-guild cities will probably be far more open to guildless player interactions, citizens or not.

  Hey, I believed that mage staffs had nothing to do with ranged modifiers until this thread came up. +ranged attack damage nodes don't seem to work on mage staffs (as expected) since it is not classified as a ranged weapon but a mage weapon for ability and damage purposes. Now, the talent clearly states that the pierce only works for projectiles from ranged weapons but this seems to work as intended, confirmed by Prometheus, even with staffs. This seems very confusing to me. Maybe change the wording for the Sharpshooter talent to be: "Projectiles have a 30% chance to pierce through multiple targets". Just leaving out the "of ranged weapons" part would clarify that for me. Anyone feel different/same about this? Silynx

  @catraccoon I play solo more than I play group, and My build for my Arcanist with 60 Talents is very well rounded. If you want multiple end of branch powers, you do have to decide which middle powers you don't max out, but you can do a pretty decent job of building a nice Solo character. My Arcanist has: Master Wizard Power Caster Unwearing Unbreakable and Army Veteran and +75 Elemental Resistance +180 Armor +320 Endurance +80 Accuracy +400 Mana +20 Life Regen +24 Mana Regen +24% Damage with Magic Staffs and +16% Spell Damage that's in addition to the Ability Score increases along the way. We're only talking Talents here, too, Enchant your Gear and you can get some of these things as well, or increase some you already have.

  Maybe it makes sense to think a little further. 2h vs. 2x 1h will be comparable in terms of damage, because otherwise one option is always preferred. If I then use 2 x 1h, I could get double the damage bonus via the current enchantment system. This could create an imbalance. I know from other MMOs that this is taken into account.

  When you go to the woodworking table and select what to craft. A Quarterstaff as an example. You can select which wood to make it out of. On That popup window to select the wood. You can see the stats when hovering over the logs.

  Yeah as it stands, too many mage abilities just don't seem to work well, due to "Magic" only counting for pure magic damage and not fire/ice etc, especially considering the dearth of talents that affect any of these schools. I don't see much point in there being mages right now considering how much better life is for Quarterstaff melee etc.
