      I’ve been following Fractured for a few months now and I'm excited to work for this gorgeous project with such an interesting concept!

    • Closed Development Notice

      Hello Adventurers,

      We wanted to let you know about some upcoming changes to Fractured Online. As of January 31st, 2023, the game will be entering closed development as we are currently facing troubles with our third-party backend platform. This platform is responsible for managing game servers and shall ensure a smooth and stable experience for all players.

      We understand that this news may be disappointing, and that the unavailability of the game may be inconvenient for some of you. However, this step is necessary for the continued development and growth of Fractured Online.

      We are already at work on a new platform to replace the existing one and will be releasing a schedule for its completion in January. Luckily, just a small portion of the dev team is engaged on this task, while everyone else just keeps working on the game as usual. This means that once we can host servers again, you are going to find plenty of additions and improvements to Fractured Online!

      Just to give you some hints on what to expect, our current focus is on player retention and quality of life / bug fixes. Regarding the former, we are finalizing features such as the Journey System, a quest/achievement hybrid to guide players past the tutorial, and ability level-up. As for the latter, we have over 200 tasks touching topics such as controls, combat, latency, client and server performance, balancing, points of interest, city sieges, and more.

      Several of these tasks have already been completed, but we haven’t been able to release a new build of the game. This means you are going to get them all at once in the largest patch in the history of Fractured Online! As soon as the situation has stabilized, we are also going to publish a detailed development roadmap for 2023.

      Many thanks for all the support you have given us so far. Most of the additions and improvements we are working on are a direct product of your feedback, and we are committed to making the game the best it can be.

      We hope you have a happy holiday season and look forward to sharing more updates with you in the future.

      ¡Hola a todos!

      Hoy tenemos un nuevo parche de corrección de errores críticos. Se centra principalmente en los asedios, pero también contiene algunos cambios adicionales.

      ¡Prepárense, ya que tenemos un parche mucho más grande de features en los próximos días!

      Correcciones y cambios en los asedios

      A continuación se muestran todas las correcciones de errores relacionadas específicamente con los asedios:

      • Se ha corregido un grave error en los asedios que sólo se producía con muchos jugadores conectados. Este error provocaba que algunas operaciones no se realizaran cuando se iniciaba un asedio. Entre ellas: los estandartes de los defensores no se registraban en la ciudad defensora (la interfaz de usuario mostraba 0/0 estandartes para los defensores), las puertas no se cerraban automáticamente y los jugadores que no participaban en el asedio en la zona de la ciudad no eran expulsados.
      • Los jugadores que no forman parte de un asedio son ahora trasladados a la ciudad más cercana reclamada y que no esté bajo asedio (al igual que cuando se selecciona la ciudad más cercana al morir) en lugar de ser trasladados fuera de la ciudad asediada.
      • Los carros y las carretas ahora se vuelven invisibles y no interactuables durante un asedio.
      • Los jugadores ya no pueden enviar invitaciones de comercio, grupo, gremio y colonos a los oponentes durante un asedio.
      • Ahora las murallas reciben correctamente el daño durante un asedio.
      • Se ha corregido un error que hacía que los atacantes no estuvieran protegidos de los ataques dentro de la tienda de asedio y que los defensores no estuvieran protegidos de los ataques dentro del ayuntamiento.
      • Ya no es posible colarse por las puertas cerradas durante un asedio.

      Otras correcciones y cambios

      A continuación se detallan las demás correcciones de errores y cambios:

      • Los dashes ahora funcionan correctamente si el terreno no es plano.
      • Los jugadores que van en sigilo ya no son visibles como semitransparentes para los jugadores que no son miembros del grupo. Ahora son semitransparentes sólo durante 1 segundo después de que termine el lanzamiento del hechizo, como estaba previsto.
      • Las 3 casas de jugadores más grandes de Arboreus ahora tienen nombres correctos y dan la cantidad correcta de prestigio.
      • Se han corregido un montón de colisiones en las plantas decorativas de Arboreus que interceptaban los clics del ratón y dificultaban la pulsación de los monstruos pequeños o creaban agujeros en la navegación (esto último no era un bug, pero era molesto, así que ahora se puede atravesar las plantas pequeñas como las minipalmeras)
      • Se ha corregido un error que impedía eliminar algunos edificios en las ciudades. Por favor, ten en cuenta que aún estamos trabajando en la función de ""desalojar ciudadanos"" para los gobernadores
      • Se ha reequilibrado el sangrado. Ahora dura 25 segundos con 100 acumulaciones en lugar de 50 segundos. Calor y frío también se han ajustado para mejorar el rendimiento del servidor (ahora pierden 2 acumulaciones cada 0,4 segundos en lugar de 1 cada 0,2 segundos, por lo que la duración total sigue siendo la misma).
      • Las ropas de plebeyo y las armaduras de piel ya no requieren una cuota de oro para ser elaboradas en las estaciones de artesanía.

      • Se ha añadido la localización de los nombres de los objetos del inventario de algunos nuevos recursos de Arboreus (plantas).

      • Se han corregido las escaleras no transitables en un par de plataformas de Grokoton
      • Los Cassowaries tienen ahora un nuevo modelo muy mejorado
      • Se ha cambiado el shader de lava. La lava ahora se ve diferente en el volcán de Aerhen (aunque todavía tiene problemas gráficos, está lejos de ser perfecto), y ahora es realmente lava (y no agua...) en el volcán de Terra."

      I completely understand how you feel, although as Prometheus mentioned in the December 15th video and in the live Q&A as well, there's no plans to introduce P2W elements on Fractured Online.
