      So you'll be able to animate weapons to fight for you I take... Kind of like a pseudo summon.

      But created constructs would be classified as summons, not?

      Restoration magic is obviously support based, I was just trying to see if the school will have any way of dealing damage. Obviously it will be great to go up against undead, animating weapons can deal with living creatures.

      Obviously you wouldn't just have restoration spells... Was just curious how support magic schools will be used offensively in combat, divination for instance will have loads of utility spells as you say... Detection spells but will it have combat buffs? Like predictions that lead to improved crit for instance, foresight😎

      Very hyped for the game... Keep up the good work!

      I am sure that won't be the case, I thought of this question because the idea of having aligned skills would be cool... I don't think every skill and spell would be locked by alignment. The divine powers granted by gods will defiantly be alignment locked since you will need the favor of that particular God.

      I doubt the schools of magic and schools of fighting will have alignment locked skills, I was more thinking along the lines of a skill changing or unlocking when you reached a high enough alignment.

      Say you reach -10 000 Evil alignment and you have proficiency in a certain school of magic, the two together unlock an ability that compliments each other.

      This however was just a thought... The powers given by Gods to me is already a very cool representation of this.

      @PROMETHEUS does mention they have other options but will go with this setup for now, guild is based on planets... so characters will need to have permanent access to the planet where the guild is based...

      Arboreus will be good aligned characters... Beastmen, humans and possibly Angels
      Syndesia will be more diverse... Humans of both alignments. Beastmen (possibly abominations?) and Angels
      Tartaros will be Evil aligned characters... Demons, Evil humans and Abominations

      I was curious about spells having alignment but I guess Muker has the right of it, your chosen God will be an alignment of your choice and the powers they grant will obviously only be available if you are that alignment.

      I think guild are not race restricted but alignment restricted... So as long as your character can permanently live on the planet the guild is founded there can be different races.

      Of course this means that human need to be evil alignment to join a guild on Tartarus and a demon will need to be an angel to join a guild on Syndesia and so on...

      This will make guilds a bit of an issue for players wanting to change alignment. If you want to be an abomination you'll need to play a fare amount on good and neutral aligned planets till you change... Only then once you've changed will you be able to join the guild on Tartarus.

      Wonder how this will play into everyone's first character... Part of the reason why I want to start a guild of demons that want to change to angels. We all start same place and try get everyone across.

      Just a thought since the game will utilise alignments as a key component...

      Will there be some spells restricted by this?

      I realize the game is aiming for a classless system that allows you to use any skill, with your attributes making them more or less effective. So restricting some spells go against this a bit, but it would be quite interesting to have certain skills unlock with different ratings of alignment...

      I would love for the animal taming to be unlocked, plan on backing for sure and spreading the word.

      Animal taming would obvious take place in the wild... animals in nature, spiders in caverns and dungeons and so on. Would be really cool if you could link taming to magic users as well summoning magical creatures and then trying to tame them.

      On that note do we know if the pets have any usage besides aesthetics? My mage character will need a familiar for sure🤔😁

      Very cool ideas... I guess we can take into account summons from conjuration. They are neutral in a sense. You are not creating them with good or evil magic but rather transporting them from where they exist.

      The creatures summoned can obviously have an alignment based on their own origins.

      Guess its all conjecture until we see some spells released...

    • Negare infinitum malum (Angel guild)

      Hi guys, I am definitely going to be playing this one and keen to start a guild with like minded gamers who are avid arpg/mmo fans like myself...

      In particular the demon to angel character change appeals to me, so my first character will be aiming for this. And with it being a difficult change to make I want to create a guild that will help those who want to make the change... and band together after.

      I think for the beginning of the game grouping to achieve this goal will make this easier on the harsh planet Tartaros.

      The guild name is Latin for "Deny infinite evil" Once more information regarding the changes that happen once you change are released and about the requirements and game in general I will expand the premise of the guild. different branches of the guild for the different demon races, possible places to have the guild occupy.

      I will be backing the game and keen to find others that want to play as Angels...

      Have a question on restoration spells and something mentioned in the feature spotlight #4

      Taken from restoration passage -

      Some of the spells from this school have seemingly divine powers, such as the ability to completely heal a creature,
      bring it back to life , or even infuse it into constructs and other inanimate objects – without the
      corruption created by Necromantic spells.

      This mentions infusing restoration into constructs and inanimate objects without corrupting them, so my question is:

      Does this mean that restoration can animate objects into summons or have some sort of summoning spells?

      Restoration and Necromancy is thus linked for dealing with life, so I assume the following...

      Necromancy
      can damage life by stealing or decaying
      curse life via blood magic
      and instill life via summoning, but this causes corruption to the life-force manifested.

      Restoration
      can restore life via healing
      cleanse life via purification magic
      and also instill life via summoning, but this differs from necromancy because the life-force is not corrupted.

      I plan on making a character that focuses on restoration, enjoy playing the support role. just curious if besides healing this school will also allow the use of some summons?
