@finland Albion is retarded grind game. I didn't mind the full loot. I had loads of gear. It felt really rewarding when I looted better gear then what I was wearing. But I fell behind at some point because I couldn't stand the grind, and better gear wasn't the solution anymore.

Killing a offline character in game will happen yes. The only way to prevent killing a player that crashed or dc is having their characters log off instantly. But that will allow ppl to escape death by logging off.... and thus break the game...
So you need a timer to prevent the abuse of logging of. My suggestion is to increase that timer so playing on multiple chars / accounts ingame is not viable anymore.
And ffs no, you don't have to wait 30 minutes. If running back to a save spot is a waste if time in your opinion, then don't play any games with survival elements in them!

@grofire No you misunderstood. I will gank with two demon characters/alts/accounts on Tartaros. So I can log off there where I want. I was talking about the poor beastmen/humans that come to Tartaros for pve to collect resources. If they log off using a 30 second timer, they are ported back to their home planet. I suggest resources are dropped on the ground from your inventory when you log off instead of travelling back. Otherwise logging off will just be used as fasttravel/teleportation.

In cities I would like to see during the day that kids play in the street and groups of birds in town square that fly away if you come close.
At night I would like to see NPC's have drunken brawls and prostitutes whisper you if you pass by them.

ArcheAge had housing in the open world. You could get ganked on the plot when farming, but not inside your own house. The inside of your house was save if you closed the door. I bet Fractured will be similar.

@muker why doesn't it fit? GW2 has it in WvW massive fights. Age of Conan has it, also in sieging. It's just an animation, wich can be very short. Doesn't have to be mortal combat style

Fact 1: new characters can beat veteran characters due to horizontal progression
Fact 2: learning more abilities faster will just make your character more versitile since you can choose more abilities, not more powerfull
Fact 3: Every mmorpg has classes that progress easier then other classes. Nothing new.
At some point those magic users will hit a point where they hardly progress any further. Melee users will catch up to that. Not a real problem, right?
If there is a balance issue between magic vs melee, then just buff melee dmg and/or increase mana cost for magic skills. Much easier then revamp a core system of the game.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this already, but another nerf to magic users is if magic has a cast time and can be interrupted. In Elder Scrolls Online this requires an attack marked as an interrupt, while in Ragnarok Online taking any damage is an interrupt.
And in Age of Conan any damage delayed the cast time of spells. Also an option instead of interrupt.

I would like to see mounts that are part of the survival machanics ingame!
For example mounts that can't survive on foreign planets, but are extra suitable for their home planet. Like Comodo Dragon style mounts for Tartaros, and Giant Moose mounts for Arboreus.
Humans will have mounts that are extra suited for foreign planets, but have other drawback vs regular horses. Like camels for deserts on Tartaros or Frisian horses for Arboreus.

Horizontal all the way. I can say for myself, I look forward a lot more to learning a "different spell effect" then just getting a same spell with 100 damage more. For me, discovering new knowledge just got incentivized a LOT more.
It increases theory crafting possibilities which I enjoy a lot, and lets new players be a lot more competitive at the same time.
Yup, doing all that work for to get from R2 to R3 and just get more dmg is boring. Getting a different version wich synchronizes better with the gameplay I have in mind can be so much more rewarding.
