In Age of Conan after a siege the next siege window would be 48 hours later. Make sieging regular game content so many ppl can enjoy it. Not a rare event.

break a sandbox survival mmorpg and make sure everybody plays the game as intended -
RE: hint for logout
@tulukaruk okay, this is how pve carebears can break the game if you have quick logout (less then a minute):
Beastman guild goes on gathering expedition to cold weather region on Arboreus. They have lots of mounts and wagons and survival items with them. A demon invasion starts in the region or next region. The beastman guild logs off and go and play their alts for a while. Once invasion is over they log back on and continue their expedition.
To counter the above you need the characters to stay in game for a while. Like 15 minutes or so
If you read my previous posts this is the 4th way I came up with to use fast logging off to not play the game as I'm sure it was intended.
Your argument that it punishes players with a short playtime is nonsense. If you got 60 minutes to play the game, you can play the game for 60 minutes, not 45. You only need to be mindfull where you log off. The savest would be in a city or settlement. If you are bold you log off where you want.
In EVE Online I always tried to get my ship back to a base I could enter. But sometimes I couldn't and I just jump to quiet system, fly to a moon in that system and pray I didn't got blown up. Wich never happened to me.

RE: hint for logout
@jetah ah ok, but it would still work within 30 mins.
Demons can still do that on Tartaros in dungeons at boss locations or in enemy settlements at the end of a siege and log back in later.
Above is same for humans on Syndesia.

@muker dude, stick to the Russian subforum

RE: hint for logout
Okay, this is how I'm gonna exploit if your character doesn't stay 15 minutes ingame after you log out:
Me and my gaming buddies are all evil demons in Fractured. We will port to Aboreus. All beastman will flee if they see the portal appear. We rush to a dungeon and quickly log out there. We continue to play on our 2nd accounts for the rest of the day. The next day I start on my 2nd account and log my beastman alt to check out the dungeon where we logged of our demons. We see all is quit and a group/guild is gathering at the dungeon entrance to start their pve. I notify my friends on TS, we all log on our demons. We kill (or try to kill) the beastman and laugh and corpse jump them before we rush back and log of again till there is a portal back to Tartaros.
Enjoy your quick logout times everyone!

RE: Taunt/Bodyguard (Tank) PvP mechanics
Tanks will be major thing in this game because this game has body collision. So a few tanks can block a large group in a bottleneck, like a bridge, destroyed settlement wall or a narrow mountain pass. Can't wait to play a tank in Fractured. You will have very different build for offensive tanks in open field pvp and defending tanks in a besieged settlement. Being a pvp tank in Fractured won't be boring or repetitive.

RE: Kickstarter Update - Video Teaser #2 - Syndesia Town Building
I really like the realism you've implemented in the gathering and building. You can down a tree and carry a log to a cart, and you have your hands full. So simple and so refreshing after years of gathering in other games. Can't wait to see more like this in the survival part of the game.

I'm ok with the current one, but would love customization options!

RE: Becoming a god?
No power gap between players is kinda hard to maintain if you have new playervs a god

RE: Be Careful with Pay For Convenience, Please.
I can't find a similar picture for ppl with bussy life vs ppl who can play 24/7

RE: hint for logout
@grofire you don't have to wait for 15 minutes if you don't want to. If you find a good place to log off, just log off and leave. But if you want to log off in the middle of a FFA PvP zone with full loot, there might be consequenses.
We need this system or ppl will abuse quick log offs to prevent loss of gear.

RE: hint for logout
@grofire I played AO and I don't agree. The difference between AO and Fractured is the survival gameplay in Fractured. This means what you can carry will be very limited. So you probably can not loot gear from multiple enemies like in AO. Maybe gear from 1 enemy, maybe even less...
So if you kill an enemie in Fractured you have to decide what you take. His food, because you still have a long journey ahead? His medicine or clothes to protect yourself better from the weather? Or some pieces of his shiny armor to sell for profit? What will you do???
I'm not saying it should be 15 minutes or more so I can find afk ppl. I'm saying it should be 15 minutes or more so ppl can't Ctrl+Alt+F4 to turn of their client upon death. Give ppl the time to enjoy the decision making of the survival machenics in Fractured. It should be fun

RE: hint for logout
@grofire no 1 minute is not enough. I want to take my time to loot your corpse.
15 minutes or more plz. If you got a fast pc you can relog in a minute anyway and move your character to a save spot.

RE: hint for logout
No logout timers sounds fishy, even in a savezone. If you have no timers plz make sure the characters stay in game for a long time. 15 minutes or more.
