You can build a house in a "free zone" and that will claim an area around it, or you could go to a town, become a citizen, and build a house there

@xionmuteki NPC's get better at their jobs as time passes. Of course, if they die you lose that npc and the time spent gaining experience.

Check Vengu's "Compilation of everything we know about Fractured" post on general discussions, I think you'll find what you want under a combat or equipment tab

Wagons exists, but not sure if used for items that take up slots. They are definitely usable for large objects like logs and stone.
Humans and Beastman can trade with Demons, but only if the Demons don't kill them before it can happen.

Also, you can't use all of your abilities at the same time anyways
so rather than more abilities = more power it's closer to good combo = more power
