Never been a big fan of full looting in games. So I wouldn't mind seeing that dropped.

RE: Haven't pledged? Want to upgrade, but not sure yet? Tell us why!posted in Discussions & Feedback
I haven't pledged. Because I been burned too many times with pre-ordering stuff and was left disappointed.
The game is ambitious, but I am skeptical if it all will work out as you hope it will work out.
No Man's Sky is also very ambitious and we all know how that ended up at launch. Must say though that NMS in current state is pretty awesome.
So I just don't pledge or pre-order anymore and wait for launch, or if I am lucky and get selected for testing I will test the game, find bugs, report them as detailed as I can, while at the same time getting a feel for the game. -
RE: Farmer/ Herder or Miner/ Woodcutter?posted in Discussions & Feedback
@holyhong said in Farmer/ Herder or Miner/ Woodcutter?:
@evolgrinz I am excited the same way you are about choosing a "city-life" character to craft and support other players in selling my crafted items.
However, I am a bit concerned if we can really enjoy this "way of life" with this knowledge-system or more specifically with this resting-system as I stated in the other thread New Ultima Online?
Please feel free to reply, I would be interested what you think about my concerns.
Cheers!
It wouldn't be a complete city-life, as we would need to venture outside the city walls in search for resources and we would need to be able to defend ourselves.
Possible going out and explore to find rare recipes etc.
But I do share your concern that everyone will end up crafting most of the stuff they need themselves. Aside from being a farmer perhaps, what takes more time investment.Unless there is a special skill tree or whatnot that you can focus on to be better at crafting than someone who doesn't. Like being able to craft stronger armor and weapons. Perhaps being able to craft items using less resources, so you can sell items for less than it would cost for someone to make it without having those skills.
And perhaps even be able to unlock unique recipes. -

Doesn't matter how many character slots we get. I'm sure they will be selling character slots in the cash shop.
And yeah. Looking forward to be a farmer or maybe a blacksmith (or maybe both) and craft useful items for adventurers.
Seeing how it's full looting when killed, weapons and armor is always needed, and so is food. So looks like a good career path to take. -

I'm a poor pleb, the only way for me to get into any alpha is to get lucky and get picked by the developers through the Foundation.

A Path of Exile payment system would fit this game very nicely.

I would like a giant ant, they would make great pack animals as they can carry up to 50 times their own body weight.

Personally don't care much how an UI as long as it's clean and not too cluttered.
So current Fractured UI looks good to me. -
RE: Be Careful with Pay For Convenience, Please.posted in Discussions & Feedback
It all comes down to how greedy developers get.
It always begins as convenience upgrades, but if you are unlucky and have greedy developers, it turns into "convenience" items that you need to progress further. -

RE: Slow combat vs Fast combatposted in Discussions & Feedback
I am not the youngest anymore and not a fan of really fast combat games as my reaction speed isn't the best anymore, so I prefer somewhat slower combat. But seeing the gameplay video the combat looks a bit too slow right now.

RE: How should an auction house be addressedposted in Discussions & Feedback
The AH should be planet based.
So if you want cheaperer resources that can only be found on the demon planet, you will have to travel there and go the the AH on that planet. Would be too easy if you could sit in the safety of the beastmen planet and buy resources from the demon planet without any risk.
Also opens up a new "profession", by being a trader. Buy good cheap in one AH and move them to another AH to sell them with a profit. -
RE: What games (besides this one) is everyone excited about?posted in Off Topic
They announced 'Elder Scrolls VI', and as a long time Elder Scrolls fan I am feeling a bit excited about finally getting a new Elder Scrolls title after Skyrim.
And also just discovered 'Satisfactory', a big fan of 'Factorio' so if done correctly, this game could be awesome, like playing 'Factorio' in 3D and 1st person view. -

I wanna hang a map of the world in my house. Then I’m gonna put pins into all the locations that I’ve traveled to. But first, I’m gonna have to travel to the top two corners of the map so it won’t fall down.
