I'd just like to point out that Them's FIghtin' Herds barely made it to about 80% until the last few hours and then suddenly hit 130% of its funding goal.

RE: Kickstarter Update - Stretch Goals Revealed
I think it was incredibly silly to withhold the stretch goals; I can't fathom why that would be a good idea.
At the very least, the first stretch goal should have been visible from the start and more revealed as the campaign went on.

RE: Will people using alt accounts have any advantages?
Well, I mean, won't you need to pay 30 Euros or whatever for each account you make?
Only bot farms will find that cost-effective and Fractured's design will be extremely unappealing to them.

RE: Haven't pledged? Want to upgrade, but not sure yet? Tell us why!
I wish I could afford to pledge something. Aw well.

RE: Fishing is a stretch goal?
The Kickstarter does not determine the success of the game. The Kickstarter's success will only allow specific, hand-picked talents to be hired much earlier and progress on "quality of life" game content to be implemented earlier.
The Kickstarter's failure will get the game back a few months but it will not destroy the game, and fishing will make it in eventually anyway.
This game can't all spawn into being at once, you see.

@sparky said in Now think Clearly Here:
@greenfox It's funny how you think beastman can't be killed on their own planet by humans, demons, and even other beastman. Since, you thinking the beastman's planet is a safezone when it isn't
See, it's completely ignorant stuff like this that makes me think your guild will quit the game within a month (if not a week) because you can't be a talentless parasite like that.
Not only are Good-aligned players unable to attack other Good-aligned players - and every Beastman is Good by default - but you don't even know that Arboreus is literally untouchable by Evil-aligned characters? All of the noob zones will instantly destroy any Evil player who enters, and the non-noob zones have a debuff and time limit similar to (but far more debilitating than) the limitations on Demons during Eclipses on Syndesia.
A scrub like you won't be able to perform any remotely efficient PKing on Arboreus, or probably anywhere else really. On your way out, don't let the tree hit you where the +3 elite dire wolf shoulda bit you.

RE: "Boss" Monsters?
Chances are that boss monsters will spawn with pseudo-randomized times and locations to avoid the camping that would otherwise occur in a game that aimed to have as few distinct servers as possible.

RE: Elusive - Casual Beastman Guild
Eh sure, why not. I'll probably be a deer lady whenever they're available.

RE: Permanent flaws
The problem with this system is that it allows people to take flaws that are largely irrelevant to their character and presumably be compensated accordingly, basically getting extra power for nothing.

RE: Question about guilds
@kellewic said in Question about guilds:
Guilds are alignment restricted (not race) according to latest posts (#10 in the same link @muker provided - "Mixed guilds will be alignment-restricted").
You're both partially mistaken.
@prometheus said in Dungeons & Guild info?:
As for guilds, we're not doing something really out of the ordinary there. A notable peculiarity though is that you'll be able to create both "mixed" guilds and guilds restricted to one of the three races, and that will have an impact on the possibilities available to the guild when it comes to colonization
@prometheus said in Multiple Races Guild and Bonuses for Race-Restricted Guild:
[...] Mixed guilds will be alignment-restricted anyway!
So you'll see guilds of good Humans and Beastmen, or guilds of evil Humans and Demons.
That is to say, you have the option of the guild being race-restricted or alignment-restricted. You must pick one or the other.
This will most likely be chosen on guild creation, with your founding character's race or alignment as the restriction criterion.

@logain said in Haven't pledged? Want to upgrade, but not sure yet? Tell us why!:
You want to avoid refunds like the plague as a video game company. Not only does it cost you more to refund then you got from the customer (actually it can get worse then the 30% @Jetah mentioned), but your payment provider could decide to grant you worse conditions or even terminate your contract. Ad if that wouldn't be bad enough yet, the person asking the refund likely leaves a bad review and hence deters potential customers from a purchase.
Your concerns would be more justified if you were talking about chargebacks.
Simple refunds won't be anything to worry about unless there is some mass concerted effort to spam the game with refunds and bad reviews, and if that's the case there really isn't anything you could ever do about that.

RE: If the kickstarter doesn't make it?
@ladyevidence said in If the kickstarter doesn't make it?:
What's next? It's only a few days away, and not quite there. I was excited about helping!
Fractured already has sufficient funding and publisher deals lined up to fund the game. The Kickstarter was only to speed up development and hire specific, hand-picked talent to improve graphical aspects of the game earlier.
The game will only be damaged by a few months of extra delay if the Kickstarter fails.

Good, time for me to put you on KoS list to make it harder on you to gain knowledge in Tartaros. You traitor!

RE: KS 72% someone bought the highest peaks
I think it's amazing how people actually won't pledge to a Kickstarter if they don't think it'll get the funding.
Not only is that why it won't get the funding, but you get all of your money back if it doesn't meet it, so you have absolutely nothing to lose, lol

I want to try Angel right out the gate, just to see what the heck happens and to inspire the "ahhh look at that guy!"
I chose Angel myself because I think it will be easiest to do right at the start of the game as compared to later, and because I doubt most people will bother. I expect for the first few months after launch, every angel in the game would be able to fit in a single guild (and might do so.)

@fibs look at the Q&A...........
Stop wasting my time.
If you have any good reason to consider Neutral Beastman a separate race from Good Beastman, as Abomination explicitly is, then cite it or shush.

@grofire said in [Which race do you currently believe your MAIN CHARACTER will be?]
as much as i know this is not true, there is a difference.
Feel free to provide any evidence of such, and I may amend it in a future poll when the community has changed!

RE: Strength of Player Factions?
The game design likely stops any one guild or even group of guilds from effectively controlling an entire planet.
-
RE: Anyone else looking forward to just building massive empires?
I don't think you'll be able to do that. It'll be a hierarchal system, the most a single player will be able to manage is a few buildings probably

@grofire said in Which race do you currently believe your MAIN CHARACTER will be?:
@fibs your missing neutral beastman/demon, so i do not know what to write.
Neutral Beastman and Demon are so far as I know not fundamentally different from Good Beastman and Evil Demon, so I didn't include them as separate options.
As stated in the poll, Evil Beastmen actually become a new race entirely (Abominations), as do Good Demons (Angels).
