      I think the balance between old and new players is always hard to manage.

      Couldn't you already build some roads last test, or am I imagining things now?
      That said, I guess they should be 'restricted', as in you can't just build roads wherever you want, or you're going to see a very, very strange world after a while.

      If the roads would happen if people go the same way a lot it could also be nice.

      My favourite party option is allways "Follow".

      Its nice if one needs to go to the door, ... and not the whole party needs to wait because he can just follow one (even if he isn't fighting back, ...)

      EDIT: What would be great though IMO, is to have a tutorial mission give you some really good gear, then force you into a fight where you will 100% die, and lose all your gear with no chance of getting it back. That sort of thing generally teaches players the consequence of death without actually costing them anything. Plus they will of course get some sort of reward upon completion of said tutorial.

      I like this idea.
      Maybe combined with "Be save in the first half of the tutorial" while learning the basics, but dying in the end to learn the lesson.
      Then new players can get something thats "okay" as starting gear for the "real world" without loosing much and already know how to recreate their gear themself.

      Maybe it will get some kind of limited access (like 2 weeks or some parts) for free to test the game.
      Later - when the game is released.
      I am not sure if I would invite friends to an Alpha or Beta. I want to show them a great game, not something that has bugs and isn't finished yet to keep them playing. 🙂

      The problem with a water species would probably be, that they can't live for long on land. And under water they wouldn't meet any other races if they aren't playing under-water pirates. Just destroy boats - fight won...
      And basically every town under water would be save from most of all players?

      Similar to flying species.
      Flying in game where everyone else is on land is an hugh advantage.
      Just use magic and/or bows and you win will warriors can't even attack you...

      Please don't understand me wrong - I would like to see races like that.
      But balancing them could be a nightmare...

      I know myself good enough to not play the Alpha.
      I would probably get frustrated and loose my patience before reaching the game itself.

      Even if know logically whats the difference between Alpha and a real game. 🙂

      Mounts always have an hugh impact to PVP - especially if the mounts themself have also skills like dismount others, stun, ...

      I haven't played any game yet were mounted combat was balanced well...

      Therefor I like games more where "special" mounts just look pretty and aren't better then "normal" mounts.

      The question is if on each spot must be a town.
      If the spots on the map are only possible towns it isn't that bad I think.

      Maybe we will learn thats better to have lesser, but bigger towns later?
      Then its good that we are pretty free to decide where to place this citys. 🙂

      One of my professors did something similar:
      He came in and told us:
      "I am selling this 100 Euro.
      But I have some rules:

      • Starting price: 10 Euro
      • Every time you are bidding you need to raise the price by 5 Euro (10 - 15 - ...)
      • The guy with the highest bidding gets the 100 Euro for the bidding price
      • The guy that is 2nd also needs to pay his bidding price also
      • No speaking / communicating with each other..."

      Result:
      Two guys were bidding against each other:
      No one wanted to be the 2nd one. In the end they were bidding to minimize their loose...

      At the end one won with 120 Euro, the 2nd one had to pay 115 Euro (with the money the professor was buying drinks for all).

      Einzelne Spieler, die nicht so gut in englisch sind, waren in anderen Spielen nie ein Problem - vor allem wenn sie TS / Discord aktiv sind und man ihnen die wichtigsten Infos auch so geben kann bzw. für diese Handelsabkommen schließen kann ohne ganze Romane tippen zu müssen.

      Einzige Voraussetzung dazu ist dass wenigstens eine Person vorhanden ist die sowohl Englisch als auch Deutsch spricht und der es nichts ausmacht auch mal zu vermitteln. 🙂

      Ein Alpha Key würde mich auf jeden Fall auch interessieren - sonst bin ich dann eben bei der Beta dabei. und lese die Sachen so nebenher durch wenn mir langweilig ist.
