      They did calculate it preetty correctly.

      I'm all about social aspects + mastering the gameplay. Social aspects are what drives me, and I don't care much about completitionism. I also like to become good in what I do, mastering the playing skills.

      Detailed story is not that important for me, however, aesthetic game design is.

      To also play a devils advocate.

      These are not a professional payed testers. 🙂 It's the normal folks paying to experience what has been developed early.
      Ofc, they want to support the company, so they pay for packs, but this doesn't mean they are also ready to do the professional testing job.

      In addition, "most of" players that buy the packs, do not do this for purely noble reasons of "unconditional love" for game development 🙂 they do it so they can gain advantage (by gaining knowledge about game and it's mechanics earlyer then players not in alpha/beta), so they could, when game releases, have a better start, and gain a better position in game community system.

      There will, of course, also be plenty of players that will actually test the things out nicely and send a good useful feedback, but you can't expect that from everyone.

      Also, not everyone is an experienced gamer, there will be "fresh" players coming, who do not fully understand the concepts of alpha/betta, and kinda expect almost fully finished product. Again, inexperience isn't their fault, everyone was inexperienced at one point in time. Most of them will learn.

      I am in process of moving (last phase now), still waiting for some furniture to come, so I don't have a nice photo of my setup yet but...

      ... here is a photo of a desk I'll have my PC on. I drew the designs myself (It's extremely hard to find a nice fitting PC desk in shop so I chose to design one myself), and then I gave it to a carpenter to actually put it together (I'm not an expert in an actual wood work).

      I really don't like how guild locking system works, heavily restricting who can join your guild. Demons seem specially disadvantaged in this aspect.

      "Demons cannot conquer and/or control cities on Syndesia." -- Also demons seem disadvantaged here.

      From what I see so far, if one wants to play evil, it's a lot better got go human, drop your karma and be evil, then play as demon. You get a lot more freedom like that.

      Oh yeah, to unblock someone it's an exact same procedure, the only difference being that clicking toggle block second time, turns the block off, then on, then off... you get the point. 😉

      • trading stands, where players can leave their goods to be sold (alternative to AH, no tax but must be on physical location to purchase an item)
      • set guard rules (who will guards attack - or not - by karma, by alignment, by flagged status)
      • taxation system of property, income for controlling guild (taxation caps within reason, not able to set insane taxes)
      • resource management, set rules who is allowed to hunt / fish / gather in city ZOI (if anyone does it against the rules he is marked as thief)
      • ability to set administrative positions (controlling guilds chooses people to fill them up, city major, city officers in charge of various stuff)
      • city bank with storage space
      • city arena, where duels can happen, and people can bet on the winner
      • race track
      • ability to build protective city walls, for sieges, by own design (including other city defenses)

      @Phaethonas @Finland Fractured will not have ganking for the simple reason that it does not have levels, and all people start with access to full stats and EQUAL maximum skill slots CAP in a skill bar.

      This means all 1vs1 fights will not be ganking but will be fair fights and a better player will win.

      Only small advantage is possible due to one player having a bit better gear, or bit more alternate builds to chose from, but since skill bar is limited having more skills does not mean you can use them all in a fight so that's not really a huge advantage.

      So the only way to gank someone is by bringing a group of people to attack single player, but not in 1 vs 1.

      And since Fractured is a full loot MMO, this means that old players can lose all gear they have (and often will), and there will not be a huge gear gap between anyone really. Fractured be mostly about player skills, and group organisation.

      So people can stop "ganking" discussions really. This is not that kind of MMO.

      And if someone doesn't have skills to play, well, then that is his own problem, and not a problem of other people that are also playing Fractured. He can play, practice and get better.

      Majority of PvP-ers are not gankers. It is a bad design to punish majority of PvP player base, because of just small part of gankers (and ganking of low levels will not even be possible in Fractured).

      This is why sandbox games work well. They allow community to deal with issues as they see fit, by actually playing the game, and not having a game forced in certain way by design.

      (and I'm not asking for FFA everywhere, I am happy with current Fractured design. I am commenting on thread title, that is called "PK punishment" which should not exist in any other extra way)
