    • RE: Haven't pledged? Want to upgrade, but not sure yet? Tell us why!

I myself got disappointed with a lots of dev studios previously changing their decisions many times after KS and before actual release.

More often then not, companies say one thing during KS, and then at release you see something completely different.

So now, even if I like what I see about the game very much, I just to not join crowdfunding campaigns out of principle, till the games is released and I see what I will get.

Even if I would save a few $/eur by buying early I don't do this anymore. When the game is actually released, If I like what I see (and company remained truthful to what they said during development) I will have no problem paying few $/more, rather then spending less money early but get disappointed later.

So not joining KS does not mean I do not like what I see. Quite the contrary, I like very much, but I hope it stays that way too, and then I will buy the game. 🙂

    • RE: Let's help design the game!

Having 2 types of profession plans:

      • standard plans as in all classic MMOs for creating the gear the first time around, works like usually
      • backup plans to create an accurate blueprints of physical items you already own, making a backup plans would be a profession feature (perhaps new profession or just part of existing one) and it would allow you to inspect an item you already have and create it's blueprints. These blueprints would allow you to re create this exact item at a bit reduced resource cost (maybe 20% lower cost) due to having it's higher level plans.

Creating backup plans would need some investment too, so it would be like insurance, you pay in advance to create these plans, if nothing happens to your item, you wasted money but you are insured, because if you lose your item you will be able to re create it a bit cheaper later on, and you mitigate part of damage done to you.

Profession that allows to create backup plans could be called plan drawing and could be used to create plans of already existing gear, but perhaps also to create plans of already existing houses, for the same purpose (houses will be destructable I believe).

So what do you think? 🙂

    • RE: Poll: When are you available to watch livestreams?

I personally like Saturday the most out of all days. Statistically, most players would be free from work that day (more than on week days), and since it's saturday, it allows for people from different parts of the world to watch it, midday for some / evening for some, I believe that would prove to be the time that most people will be able to watch.

      Just my opinion, of course.

@benseine Thanks man. Hoping it changes if you switch to an Angel. I assume it would, or there wouldn't be too much incentive to do so

It probably will. Angel will be completely different from demon, even the skin, so most likely the racial mechanics will also be different. It would make sense. 🙂

    • RE: Bit worried where the Kickstarter is

I don't know why people bother with alt accounts really.

I have only one account, and I am already level 90+ (in only 2 months I've been here) and am around position 70 in leader board. And game is still far away from release.

Any player can have all rewards from foundation without a single recruit, just by being a bit active in the community.

I promoted Fractured a bit in my community discords (discords from my guilds in various MMOs I played / play) and I got like 5 people now that registered over my referal link. One of these people leveled a bit, other just created account and lazy to level, slackers. 😛

So I basically don't have any points from recruits, and I don't have any rewards from promoting Fractured (I do promote it, I just don't bother to share screenshots of it in forums to apply for rewards).

And still I reached extremely high level in foundation, in short time, just by being active.

      __

So people, creating alts isn't necessary at all. It really isn't...

    • RE: Are you a PVP or PVE player?

Yep. High skill cap allows for additional player progress.

When you will max your knowledge and professions, you will not feel like you've done it all. Setting skill cap to very high, and steep learning curve, will still allow you to still keep progressing your personal playing skills.

Also, show your friends all the cool foundation rewards they can get. 💰 👌

And, when you reach that hot leader board position, make a selfi and share it too! 🤳

I love to kill everyone and grief all day. Making people mad makes me happy.

MMO without drama and QQ is a boring MMO.

    • RE: Are you a PVP or PVE player?

      Both to the full extent.

PvP and PvE offer different challenges, and require different skills from player. I like to challenge myself, and progress in all aspects of the game.

Games that manage to fuse together PvP and PvE are especially fun for me. For example Archeage, trade routes, excorting goods that are made in PvE and needed for PvE, but you need to PvP to accomplish your goals and reach your destination. Or contested world boss fights, and other similar fusion of PvP and PvE.

PvE and PvP, when separated from each other (PvP battlegrounds, PvE raids) can also be engaging and fun, but it is (imho) much more fun when they are interconnected and fused together.

I kinda prefer clean transparent skill bars, with just transparent boxes in place where abilities can be placed.
Without any extra art that just obscures the part where action takes place. 😉

    • RE: hint for logout

@benseine said in hint for logout:

@jetah if that is the case then pve beastman would probably go explore Tartarous to see if they would get knowledge. But instead of traveling back, they will just restart the game normally... and voila! They are back on Arboreus. This is the fifth reason I came up with why you need to keep game characters in the game for 15 minutes or more after logging off. If you log back in within the fifteen minutes, you are still at the same location. If it is longer and you are on a foreign planet, only then do you port back in my opinion.

I would add that if you do not reach port normally (by foot), your character should have some setback. So if you do not travel back manually, but because of time expiration or a log off (or disconnect, and choosing to not log back in) and you get ported automatically, you get some debuff, that lasts for 60 minutes, and does not expire while you are offline.

This is to incentivize people to travel back manually, and not exploit auto port back mechanics.

When you have traveled to another planet, and grinded some resources, why would you have a safer option to exploit auto port back, rather than having to travel to portal manually back through the dangerous foreign lands, risking getting killed on your travel? If auto port back has no setbacks people will just find some hidden spot on foreign planet, after the grind, and wait their to get ported back, rather than travelling with resources through open lands.

So besides 60 minute debuff (if you do not travel back to portal and use it manually) I would also add that you loose 50% of whatever resources you carry with you.

@jetah would make no sense to turn a guild alignment.

      Why not?

It's a free world, players can play how they wish. At least they should be playing how they wish. Switch good to evil and back a 100 times if they want.

    • RE: hint for logout

@Finland I would not let people be able to log out in unsafe zones at all. I would just let their characters permanently in game if players leave the game in unsafe zones.

15 minutes is already a big compromise from my perspective.

People should just not be logging off in unsafe zones, and expect to be safe. End of story.
If you cba to travel back to safety that should be your own problem.

15 min is the best you should get. I'd put it even longer, or totally disable logoff in unsafe zones. (You can close the client, but your character stays).

An enormous prehistoric mammoth mount, as a group mount. On his back people on their raptor mounts, ready to jump off his back, and continue their raptor mounted charge.

So a mount, being able to carry mounted people. 😉

@tulukaruk said in hint for logout:

If you suggest 15 mins then I'll just go and suggest instant log off even mid combat and teleport to town. I even think that it's more reasonable then that crazy idea with 15 mins.

You do not need to wait in front of your monitor for 15 minutes.

You log off INSTANT, and go to windows, but YOUR CHARACTER remains in game world for 15 more minutes, and ONLY IF YOU LOGGED OFF IN UNSAFE ZONE.

If you made effort to return to city (or any safe zone, your house etc.) then your character vanishes from game world INSTANTLY when you log off.

There need to be consequences for people logging off in unsafe zones, in attempt to escape danger and save their lives in this lame way.
