      @Tuoni there were posts where some players asked for "less PvP" in Syndesia though. 🙂

      Don't have the will to search for those posts now, but there were asks for various "player and goods" protective mechanics, and similar.

      I myself am aware players on both sides try to push own agenda, and I will personally never claim "only PvE players complain and ask" because I'm a realist. 🙂 I know "both sides" do want to push own agenda.

      One just needs to open his eyes to see it.

      I think they might not have access to those. I remember some time ago asking a similar thing on discord, and the response was that some content is restricted from demons. Then I asked if I can go demon -> angel -> demon and the answer was not because the angels can't lose karma.

      There is always a small chance, that part of knowledge can be accessible to demons, through some event asteroids, so demons can reach the needed skills, without needing an ability to venture to Arboreus safe zone.

      But directly, it will not be accessible, yes.

      Well, I assume, you still can be "attacked randomly" 🙂 but then PvP goes by Syndesia rules, and has consequences.

      By being part of militia, attacking different militia member just skips the consequence part.

      @PeachMcD there will always be players who will try to "push their own agenda" on "any side".

      PvP players wanting more PvP on Arboreus, and PvE players pushing for less PvP on other two planets. 🙂

      It's simply that part of people do not care for others, are selfish, and you can't expect any better from them.

      But we trust that such players will not influence devs away from their vision. 🙂 We have good dev team here, and i have no worry we will end up with a MMO just as they promoted it.

      Progression is still progression, regardless of what type it is, older character will always be more versatile / efficient than fresh character.

      There isn't any sense in claiming otherwise. 🙂

      The point of horizontal progression, though, is that power gap between old character and fresh character will not be as large as it would be in vertically progressed game.

      No levels, equal base character stats, and limited skill slots in skill bar, will still give a full fresh character, chance against old character, because playing skill will play a significant role here.

      In vertically progressed MMO, fresh character would not even have a chance regardless of playing skill.


      Of course, we are talking about fresh characters here, not fresh players. Fresh players will obviously still have much to learn, so from that fact alone, they will be behind old players, that already learned many tricks.

      However, if old, experienced player, creates a fresh alt, he may very well beat many other players (that are using progressed avatars) with his own freshly made alt, purely through his playing skills, and experience.

      The above would not be possible in vertically progressed MMO.

      PvPisnt restricted per se.

      But... good tagged player can not perform evil action against other good player...and unless you are tagged good, being inside safe zone debuffs will quickly kill you. So in practice no pvp in safe zone.

      Edge areas oitside of safe zone full pvp is possible.

      No idea if there will be arenas where good players can pvp. But its possible good players will have to travel to syndesia to visit arenas. Not sure here. We will see. 🙂

      There is no sieges on Arboreus.

      Political warfare, most likely yes.

      I have understood that there will be full loot rules (upon death) everywhere regardless of the planet. This will just happen much more rarely in Arboreus.

      Aha so basically looting isnt restricted because of Arboreus, but for all practical purposes beastmen inside safe zone will still not be able to loot because they are tagged as good, and with such tag you arent able to perform evil activities on other good players.

      This means in practice no looting in safe zone, but possible looting on unsafe edge areas, beastmen looting evil players and vice versa.

      Problem is availability of storage space. If repairs require materials, stockpiling of huge amounts of materials will become mandatory, especially for blacksmiths.

      That will require enormous amounts of storage space.

      Tartaros - full loot and no consequences
      Syndesia - full loot with consequences
      Arboreus (safe zone) - iirc no looting

      Arboreus edge areas (not safe) - not sure if there is looting

      Didn't we have technical (or error reporting) subforum somewhere?

      Anyway I noticed a lot more notifications today, and realized they came from offtopic and some cathegories i have previously ignored. They became "watched" again.

      Attempting to re-ignore gave me this error:

      And cathegories remain "watched".

      Please fix, i don't want million notifications. 😄 😓

      Maybe in Arboreus "safe zone" (mind that "safe zone" implies safe "from PvP" and not "safe from everything" 🙂 )... there could be NPCs that certain player guilds or cities could pay off, to attack another guild or city.

      That's how political confrontation could get extended to physical through PvE, still avoiding direct PvP conflict.

      This is already determined.

      When you die, your "stuff" will remain on the ground, and since this is full loot MMO, it can be stolen by someone else (consequences for theft, and possibility of theft is different based on planet you are on).

      You will respawn at respawn point (your home, nearest town or tavern, maybe some other respawn points get added), and if you want your stuff back, you will need to run to place where you died, and pick it up (if noone stole it in meantime).

      If you had very little on you, and you respawned far away, it may not be worth for you to run back to pick the stuff though.

      One siege does not need to happen on one screen though.

      If you have more complex mechanics, one part of siege could be going on near city walls yes, but other part of siege could be happening in the back near supply line, maybe 3rd part of siege near resource spot, maybe some people should be in charge of delivering supplies for the siege...

      Perhaps... demon players could do rituals to spawn demon NPCs, and send those to Arboreus.

      The more effort demon players put in, the more NPCs attack. This could be used to distract furrys, while demons go grind mats on outskirts of Arboureus, outside of safe zone. Less resistance, cus many furrys get otherwise occupied with those NPCs.
