I believe horizontal aspect is mostly about combat. So new player doesn't get camped by old player just because he has no chance due to low level.
However it is impossible to make game 100% horizontally in all aspects. If that's the case, people could just delete characters and make new ones every day without any consequence or benefit.

50 is imho too low, because it doesn't allow gaming communities to play together, and that would be a huge limitation.
I'm all up for anti zerg limitations, but not by switching to extreme on another side and only allow small guilds to exist.Somewhere between 100-150 would be a decent number if there will be limitation.

If it is implemented and made by some logic... many attributes could be brought in connection with increased harvesting efficiency.
... strength and stamina... cus you can just do more...
...intellect... cus you are smarter about how you do things....
...luck... cus when you cut a tree down, if you are really lucky, a second tree may appear out of the thin air and fall down next to it.. XD

In fact good players are able to travel the entire world and get all the knowledge points (eventually), while evil players can't enter large part of Arboreus and thus aren't able to explore everything and get 100% of knowledge points (ever).
Unless they convert to angels, to be able to enter Arboreus safe zones, but then they actually become good, once converted they are also stuck as angels (regression is impossible, not allowed by system), so they can never go back to being evil.
So you will never see an evil aligned player with 100% knowledge points.

Teleporting (even naked) between cities would bring up another issue, and that is ability for large armies quickly moving through the world which could cause much bigger issues than having a little time sink while traveling.
Traveling is in fact the point of Fractured, the world is meant to be big, and not simple to roam through, without investing time and effort.

How about pick pocketing on Arboreus? There is no pvp combat involved and it can require certain player skills. If attempt fails get karma punishment. If successful get random item from bag.

This is great success for a small studio starting from scratch. And it will get better! -

I prefer no bots of any kind. Even helpful ones.
I would prefer game in old school way where you have to gain intelligence on your own, carry it in your brain, manually share with others through chat if you wish.
Players knowledge = power. No automatization, no bots, none of that modern hand-holding stuff please.
Just a personal preference, you may agree with it or not.

Hmmm... if monkeys kill you, they should also steal some of your stuff and take them to their tree house.
There are other animals that also like to steal shiny objects, so I don't see why you wouldn't lose your stuff when animal kills you.
Maybe if you can track that animal down, you can kill it and take your item back.
Maybe that's how other players could sometimes get a random item from animals (if that animal previously killed someone and took an item).

Thinking about this... I hope just inspecting someones corpse won't be a criminal act. I mean you are checking his pulse, seeing if you can help him, and quickly browsing through his pockets for ID and stuff.
If you don't actually take anything (but just browsing) you aren't actually a thief.

If you are only "knocked out", your bag may be searched and stolen from.
If you are killed, then you may also loose what you wear on your body.While playing on Syndesia, consequences for attacker will also be different depending if you are only stolen from, assaulted, or killed.

RE: Question/Request: Camps vs Building
All types of building are easy, you just need to find materials to build (which may or may not be in close proximity). This depends on what you chose to build and where.
So although building isn't hard, getting yourself all the needed materials may not be a quick job, especially if you will be playing in PvP area.
