    • RE: Personal home question

Maybe some locations could have a cool down for repeated use, and 1 location be without CD.

      So perhaps, whenever you die:

      • closest town (no CD on respawn)
      • your house (3 hours CD)
      • guild hall (3 hours CD)
      • selected friends house (6 hours CD) -- and you can change which friends house is in your location list one time per week

I would love an ability to "kick the players corpse" (until it despawns) from Archeage.

my guess would be some kind of human, due to the colour of the horse

Looks like gorilla-kin to me. Perhaps that photo is a teaser about new beast race that will be added in future. πŸ˜‰

Why would Fractured allow unlimited locations?

Unlimited locations would definitely be bad.

1 spawn point at your own house (if you have it) + 1 extra selected spawn point (friends house) could be nice.

And to set a cool down as to how often you can change your spawn points... you shouldn't be able to just spam change as you wish.

    • RE: Psychometrics to establish natural fit

Something being an oath or the law doesn't mean its not wrong, or that parts of it aren't stupid.

I tell you this... go ahead and knowingly heal the serial killer that has no intention to stop killing, and wait until he kills a man, who worked hard his whole life to feed his family... then come to grieving child and explain how it is not important that you knew that this killer will likely continue killing, but that you are a healer and you have an oath to heal.

Look at that grieving family in eyes and tell them that.

Helping bad people, enabling them to do more bad things is not only wrong, but is stupid as hell, and it makes you accomplice in their bad actions, regardless of how hard you want to find an excuse that this is not so.

In my eyes it is, and will always be. You personally hold responsibility for that child fathers death.

Again, I repeat, this is not the case in scenario where you do not know. But it certainly is when you knowingly do that.

      @Gothix

so a doctor that helps someone that then kills makes the doctor an accomplice?

IF he knows that he is healing a serial killer that will kill more, then yes. He enabled that person to kill more, so it is as if he killed this persons future victims himself.

If he doesn't know who is the man he is healing that of course, not.

Lets say everyone knew how Jack the Ripper looks like, and everyone knew that he killed many people, and that he will kill more and more, which continually happened.

Lets say something happened to Jack the ripped and he was bleeding, about to die, and healer came and saved his life and let him go.

That healer is an accomplice and 100% at fault for murder of any of Rippers future victims.

    • RE: Scroll of teleportation πŸŒ€β³

To use the scroll you must have an empty bag,

If your bag is not empty, upon using the scroll, all your belongings (resources from bag, not gear you are actually wearing) will drop on a ground before you are teleported.

In this way people can not keep scrolls until they are attacked in PvP, and use them when in danger to escape.
There is also long cast time to use the scroll, that can be interrupted if you receive damage.

      I disagree.

If someone knowingly enables another to commit a crime, he is automatically an accomplice.
Knowingly healing an evil person, knowing he will continue to kill innocents, makes you an accomplice in premeditated murder.
Stopping an accomplice is a good act, same as stopping a murderer itself.

Thus, you are not evil, you are smart, and just.

    • RE: What’s the point?

Sandbox games offer "less" at the launch (just until community gets the ropes of the game and picks up), but last longer, and offer much more at middle and later stages of game play, where theme park games "loose the juice" and everything becomes old, unlike sandbox games who start to thrive as game grows older.

Lets escalate this question to another level:

So this time there are (naive and stupid) healers (good persons) walking around and healing evil people, who are then repeatedly killing more and more good people. They are only able to do that, because those healers (even if good persons) are stupid and keep healing them.

Now you go and kill those healers, and in the process, evil people aren't healed anymore and rest of good people survive.

      Are you good or bad?

If you see someone that's hurt and needs your help, but you know if you help and heal him, he will go around and kill more people because he is a killer, and you chose to help and heal him, enabling him to kill more in the process...

      Are you good or bad?

    • RE: New Race Idea

Hmmm.... what if portal travel wasn't instant, but instead (sometimes in the future) it's changed that portal takes you to some dangerous mid-realm, and once you are inside through the first doorway (portal), you have to find another doorway to actually reach your destination.

And the travel through this mid-realm, until you find second doorway wouldn't be free of dangers.

This mid-realm transport could occur when some form of magic interfering asteroid is nearby, and instead of directly to your destination, portal sends you to that asteroid, and another doorway to your end destination is positioned somewhere there as well.

This occurrences could start occasionally over time, happening only sometimes, and down the line in future (with expansion), a huge asteroid could position in the system permanently, featuring a permanent barrier that prevents instant travel, and this asteroid could be large enough to also feature brand new race that lives there.

    • RE: What part of the game is most intriguing to you all

Demon PvP (although it will certainly have GvG aspect as well) will be more focused on FFA PvP.

Human PvP (although it will have FFA as well) will be more focused on GvG aspects (due to mechanics of zone control and setting the rules when you control those zones).

So, I don't think that demon and human will have different quantity of PvP, I just think that the nature and type of PvP that will be more present there will be different. On Syndesia you will see organized groups fighting more often, while on Tartaros you will see skirmish more often.

    • RE: Race Starting on Any Planet Idea

The only issue would be that if someone wanted to play an angel, they would chose demon on Arboreus by default because he would then have to grind a lot less to reach his goal, than starting full negative on Tartaros.

The same goes for someone wanting to play as abomination. He would automatically chose to start on Tartaros.
