      What if I consider myself a god? If I am the true lord of men and beast and there is no one who can compete with me? If I laugh at everyone else, even those pathetic excuses for deities that hide in their skies, because they have no ballz to walk the earth like the rest of us? 😉

      Having a special extra command to put you in or out of combat mode would take a LOT from fluidity of the game and would quite likely be a very hated thing.

      I personally see "end game" here as larger scale fights for control of cities and zones. Guild vs guild fights for dominance.

      This will require players learning a decent amount of skills first, because even if 1 vs 1 can battle out since the start, for guild to actually be competitive, will require it's members having some game play knowledge and guild getting organized, it will require acquirement of assortment of skills and resources, which will require some play time.

      This is why I see this as "end game" in some sense. This will also determine who can harvest what, and where, social conflicts and all.

      Yes the problem in Fractured is the possibility of good aligned players having huge advantage on battlefield, due to good alignment preventing them shooting each other. That would mean good alignment playing without FF while evil playing with FF, which would be completely game breaking, because a fair non 1 vs 1 combat would be impossible.

      @Tuoni argument here is not to remove point to click in favor of WASD. The argument is to have both in same time, so players have an option to use any they like OR to use them both simultaneously (which I would personally prefer).

      I would click to move to keep my character going in general direction over longer distances, but for micro movement I would aid myself with WASD, so I can quickly change my movement in the same time while using mouse for something completely else, not necessarily only combat stuff (dragging stuff in my inventory around, while circling around mob agro range, and much more).

      It is just a huge QoL feature to have an option to use WASD in addition to click to move.

      Religious players should get some debuff on them. It could be called "sheep" and while they belong to religion their money would be drained over time. Also there would be various "every day" actions they wouldn't be able to perform without prior permission from church, which would also cost money.

      1. enemy can kill you and then loot your whole inventory and gear you are wearing (full loot system).
      2. enemy can loot the mobs you kill, if they are faster to click their corpse.

      If they steal in any of these ways from you, they are tagged as thieves, and you have the right to hunt them down, kill them, and take your loot back, without "tagging" consequences for yourself. In the process of doing so you can also take their own "stuff".

      Your house is safe... unless you forget to maintain it, and it gets destroyed by the time and your lack of care.

      You don't need a separate planet for that to work. Progress can be wiped for anyone including people playing on standard planets if they would play for free. 😉

      But the main problem here isn't offering the demo to players. The main problem is that usually bots and gold sellers / spammers abuse the demo, to get in for free, then farm resources and send them to other player, before losing the ability to play (or getting banned). It is also abused for free spam.

      This is why i prefer paywall always being before being able to start playing. It doesn't eliminate the problem, but it SIGNIFICANTLY reduces it.

      I see this as your character being "tabula rasa" on the start (with only few starting skills), and then how you fill it up with knowledge and how you (ab)use the gained knowledge is your choice.

      This goes for everyone regardless of race and given starting position. All choices are unlocked.

      1. Character progression will be extensive in Fractured with a lots of skills to learn and then slowly becoming more efficient with your decks and tbeir application.

      2. Gear is easy to replace but it might require some effort to customize it and have different sets for different situation. When playing you shouldnt own just one set but several backups and keep them in your house or bank so when you lose one set you just equip other one and continue playing without downtime. If yoi are pvping you will also be getting new free sets by looting other players. So dont worry, unless you completely suck and are lazy in same time... you will not be running around naked all the time. 😉

      Bots only use CPU resources, while players also use net traffic resources, produce server lags etc.

      Bots are not sufficient. 😉 Also I doubt devs will waste time developing a special bot AI just to test 200vs200 in alpha 1.

      The more likely option is that test will be with less players (how ever many available) and devs will announce specific time events to attempt to get as many players as possible online at specific times to test large scale fights. So you can expect a 50vs50 to 100vs100 tests in Alpha 1.

      @NiketNaidu So far, according to developer plans, every time you die you always drop ALL your gear, but then it's other players choice if he will wish to steal this gear from your body or not.

      When other player kills you (if you were non hostile) other player is tagged as murderer, and if he steals the gear from you he is tagged as thief. Both of those tags bring consequences.

      If a player kills you and leaves, leaving the gear on the ground, you can return to your body and re pick your gear from ground.

      If a passing by player (that did not kill you) comes and sees your dropped gear on the ground (you still didn't return to your corpse) he can also pick it up, in that case he is not tagged as murdered (because he didn't kill you) but he will still get flagged as a thief (because he took your stuff).


      I imagine the same principles will work with mobs as well. If you kill a mob, his corpse will get tagged as your property. Other nearby players (if they are faster then you) will be able to loot "your mob", but in the process get flagged as thieves.

      If you want loot from that mob back, you will be able to attack those players that looted "your mob", and you will not get flagged in any way now, because they are flagged as thieves and you have the right to attack them without flagging consequence.


      Your karma and flags will affect how certain NPCs will interact with you (good cities / bad cities...).

      I quite like this planned system.

      All planets are actually PvX (have both PvP and PvE available), but an amount of available PvP, and PvP rules are quite different.

      Perhaps human and beastmen players could have some quests connected with NPC demon syndicate on Arboreus, and these quests could be connected with Babilis rep.

      Human and beastmen players that are working on getting Babilis favor could use these quests as part of their journey.
