    • RE: Races playing nice together?

Playing as human will give you most possibilities, in aspect of biggest play room.

Beast men and demons are more focused, and require larger effort to change things around. Humans start neutral, with easier access to all lands, and with wider attribute spread, and use of technology to slot in and out for more situations.

Given all that, as human you would have the most possibilities, if you want to combine different play styles on a single character.

But as @Kralith already wrote, you can create multiple characters as well for that purpose. πŸ™‚

    • RE: Skeletons

      More pros:

      • you can lie down and pretend that you're dead
      • you can dismantle yourself for easier transportation
      • you can carry extra stuff in your rib cage

What about us poor souls that can't even spell (or write) her name because we are from rural parts of land (without fancy keyboards with such advanced letters)? πŸ˜›

    • RE: Why can't Angels stay on Arboreus?

Everything is still subject to change and further tweaking. πŸ™‚

For now general idea is that Beast men and Demons get some racial bonuses, while humans get the more attribute points and use of technology (which will come with own bonuses) to offset for that.

Any racial transformation will come with some loss and some gain, but imho everyone should in the end be balanced, just the play style will be a bit different.

    • RE: Talent Calculator

I'm mostly curious as to how will different spells interact with each other. Will there be a complex interactions and how deep deck theory crafting will be possible.

I'm thinking about original TSW here. How much different skills could have impacted one another was really nice.

      • Gear isn't all to important

I'd just write this a bit differently. Gear is important as in "you can't walk around naked and expect to do well", you DO need gear... however gear is very easy and quick to craft, so you don't have to worry about obtaining gear, even if it gets destroyed or stolen.

    • RE: everyone's thoughts on the game

      In short:

      • ISOMETRIC MMORPG
      • click to move style
      • sandbox driven
      • open (non instanced) world, 3 planet with different PvP rules (FFA PvP, structured PvP with consequences, limited/ no PvP with super large safe zone) to appeal to all play styles
      • focused on gathering resources, crafting, trading, exploring and fighting around resources and cities that can control zones (sieges)
      • horizontal progression, learn new spells for different situations, more tools, customize armor for different circumstances, but do not grow more powerful in total damage done with same type of spells
      • open world housing, build your home in city or solo in wilderness
      • FULL LOOT (where PvP is allowed)
      • graphics look very nice, and game play looks smooth so far
      • buy to play with optional VIP subscription, that should not be a P2W feature, but rather an extra QoL option
      • nice dev studio that has so far been honest and forthcoming with fellow players πŸ™‚

@muker we have similar call up also 18-27. Our options are military service or civil service.

Military service, you go somewhere to military base, and you are away from home for many months.

Civil service, you are at home, but you do civil service in some state civil institution (like normal work hours). Later on you are trained for civilian rescue service. First aid, rescue equipment... so in case of some natural emergency you can be called to help people get out of ruins etc.

    • RE: Will Fractured upgrade on what Albion Online did

For me, it's very simple. I'm tired of this "$ -> gold" conversion madness, and of "people using cash" to gain direct game play benefits that affect, not only their game play, but also game play of others around them. Because in "open PvP world" this does affect others around you.

So if the game will include this, I will simply not play it, and so will not any of my friends. A huge chunk players is looking (for a long time now) for a good game that offers equality between players in the aspect of success being generated purely by your effort and not by loads of cash influx from your credit card. (These are the players that DO spend the money. They only prefer that money is spent on things that can only affect your personal game play (cosmetics and similar), and not affect game play of others around you.)

So if you want to play the game with bunch of "wallet warriors" that like to throw cash into the game to gain power, be my guest. I hope you will enjoy it, because I, myself, will not touch such game with 6 foot pole.

@Pwnstar your argument feels like this for me -- if drugs will get sold anyway (we know they do), it's better to let the state just officially sell it so at least state benefits from it?

@pluto your argument feels like this for me -- hey not everyone will chose to buy those drugs, because some guy will not drop $100,000 on it to "maybe feel good". Most purchasing will be done by small guys that do not have a lots of cash, and a lots of time to enjoy life in a different way. That's also assuming that buying drugs is even considered bad, perhaps it's only bad when people actually die from it.

I'm drawing a picture here πŸ™‚ because it's not about who will chose to do that and who will not. The bad thing would be that it is officially available in the first place. Because if it is officially available then more people are gonna do it, and that's a fact.

An answer to something that's bad is NOT "since few people might attempt it (risking a huge deal in the process), lets just let everyone do it freely".

An answer IS to try to catch those attempting it and enforce strict punishment (bans), when caught. And if someone gets away with it, hey, at least it was on a rare occasion and at huge personal risk, which is a LOT better then a majority of population doing it, because it's included officially. And in the process ruining what would otherwise be a great game.

@Specter I know this was discussed πŸ˜‰ but I'm never the one starting this. I'm always only posting counter arguments to people constantly trying to promote it. (Because if one side is constantly promoting something and other side is silent, It might start to look like no one has anything against the promoted issue, and we definitely do not want things appearing that way). πŸ™‚

@muker @Kralith hmm an extracurricular enlistment of new people. Something's afoot.

Behind the curtains selected countries are being armed, US exiting agreements, these extra enlistments... we might actually see some escalation soon. It's just the question where.

That's a con, and a large one. Kills off a huge chunk of community that do not wish to play P2W games.

    • RE: Long time no Poll [Housing Poll]

My ideal option would be a busy guild city, location near bunch of quality resource nodes, nice community, busy streets, visitors (who we deem worthy) travel to this city to trade stuff, and of course @Kralith with a Shrooffee bar. πŸ˜‰

And if anyone wants to compete us for the location, bring it on! πŸ˜‰

    • Long time no Poll [Housing Poll]

This poll is focused on your own desire (not on where your guild will place their houses). If you had a say where you would like to place your home, what would it be? Based on type of location.
