RE: [Community Talk] What makes you quiet?
Cookies make me quiet. When I'm eating cookies, I'm mmm omnom, and I do not speak.
In forums, if thread posts become circle and repeat of same things over and over, I usually give up posting there at some moment.
When I will drink Shroffee, I will enjoy the taste and be quiet.

RE: fictional competitors)
Any good MMO will be your competitor.
Majority of people aren't looking at this like "oh this is isometric and this is why i'm sticking with this one". Most people just search what is fun to play and looks good, and they will flock to that MMO.
So, yeah, any good MMO is competition.

RE: Steam support
TSW Legends started as non steam with original client. Later on they gave people the Steam option.
However, people had to convert their account to steam account if they wished to use steam, so once your account was converted you were forced to use Steam.
People that didn't wish Steam could have kept using standard client.

RE: The Myr Trivia - Results & Winners
Sooo... 57km2 is 1400-1500 screens horizontally.
If walking one screen (horizontally) would take 10 to 15 seconds (I'm just throwing this number blindly atm.) and map is 57km2 (1400-1500 screens), this means walking from left to right side of map (i perfectly straight line, without delay or rest) would take anywhere between 3 to 6 hours.
Since we know that it will be impossible to walk in a straight line due to terrain, rivers, mountains etc. and people will not be able to walk 6 hours straight, I'll guesstimate that traversing from left side of map to right side would take 10 hours without a mount.
...but don't listen to me, I fail at math, and didn't guess anything at that trivia.

Grats all!
Consolation forum title I fail at Math to everyone that lost.

RE: Discuss how to get more people engaged
@Prometheus said in Discuss how to get more people engaged:
I could make a video where I walk from one side of Myr to the other... I don't know how many people would be interested in a 1.5 hours run though
As long as it's not in less than 24 hours so we can't count the nodes for trivia.

RE: Talent Calculator
True, skill calculator isn't needed.
But attribute calculator for races could be useful.

RE: The Myr Trivia - Guess & Win Foundation Points!
Resource nodes: 80 000
Decorative elements: 6 000 000
Monsters spawners: 50 000
Time for procedural generation: 25.5 hoursLets see how this goes.

RE: Is the game playable in the pre alpha and alpha 1?
Also, there could be a difference between server loaded with 50 people and server loaded with 10,000 people.
We will have to wait for beta for the real test.

RE: Discuss how to get more people engaged
Put fractured T-shirt on and walk through the city.

RE: Talent Calculator
I guess someone enthusiastic enough could build a calculator of his own, and place on some website.
However, since game will still get changed, then this person would have to constantly update his calculator as well.

RE: Trade
people will go to gold seller websites
And eventually get banned.
Also if it's forbidden and bannable (not to mention risk of your CC info getting stolen by shady sites), only minor part of players will try it.
And that's a LOT better then majority of players doing it because it's integrated into the game. I'm definitely not ever gonna play a game that offers conversion of $$ to in game gold, nor will any other truly competitive players. I vouch you on that.

RE: Trade
@Jetah this is not good though because it introduces a form of P2W to the game.
Many players are seeking a game where all accomplishments are done by player effort. What's the point of having your guild put effort, control territories, inserting influence, using tactical play to rob other guilds and keep them down, if other guilds can simply throw $$ and get back on their feet, have gold again?
This form of P2W simply ruins what competitive guilds are seeking, specially in a sandbox type of game that doesn't have instanced dungeons and raids, and focuses on open world, trading and PvP aspects.

RE: Hi all. For those of you, early backers, how has the progress and pacing of the game dev has been so far in your opinion?
So far so good. Development (as far as we can see) sticks to the initial vision, and what devs plan to bring to us looks promising. Still long way till the game release, but as things stand now, it looks very nice.

RE: State Of The Game #2 โ On 2018, Alpha 1 & Unity
Maybe its a wolf that sells wares? Warewolf... I see nothing wrong with that.

RE: Trade
@Jetah I assume by monitoring trades and banning those who buy goods for real money. I don't see any other way to stop RMT.
How the cops catch people that rent prostitute services? They plant undercover cops as baits.
Same could be done to catch RMT transgressors, plant a bait (undercover GM). And when voice spreads about undercover GMs planting baits, and part of players get caught, you will see how RMT will reduce by a huge margin.

RE: Trade
@Gothix in the reality ????? Give me at least one example, when in the protracted warring parties buy and sell weapons to continue the conflict. But not without hiding it from the rest of the rest of the world.
Goverments officially don't.
Private enterprises and individuals do (secretly). It's called war profiteering.
