      Well mini-games wouldn't be a problem game-type wise at least.

      Iso-metric perspective doesn't matter here, since new UI would be opened for a mini game, so game perspective is irrelevant.

      Mini games also fit the lore, and game style. Travelers can have fun while resting. It's why I suggested mini games being usable during resting phase only (taverns, your housing, or perhaps even in wilderness near camp fire, anywhere where you can rest).

      Of course devs would need to care that they don't abuse any game copyrights. ๐Ÿ™‚ So if there would be any game it would have to be something publicly usable, or new invented game (just for Fractured). Second option would require some resource investment on start, but could reap benefits in the future with extra owned IP (like GWEN for example) where new separate game could be launched afterwards.

      And, imho, these buffs I wrote aren't OP at all, or really required. Rest phase lasting just tiny bit shorter, or seeing certain type of monsters on your mini map (not main map) so that means in your closer proximity - you would run into those anyway while moving just few meters around... that's imho nothing that would be "required".

      I mean, I certainly wouldn't be arsed to travel back to tavern just to refresh those, unless I'm really close to tavern in the first place and it's on my way.

      Examples of temporary bonuses (from social activities) I would like (they would not be too OP, just something minor, and nothing directly affecting PvP efficiency):

      • your resting phase (near campsite, in the wilderness) will be 10% quicker (2 hours duration)
      • you can see fire type (X type) monsters on the mini map (2 hours duration)
      • after you are killed, your bag with dropped loot will remain on the ground 20% longer (unless stolen of course) (2 hours duration)

      Stuff like that, utility bonuses connected with PvE, not stat increases, and nothing affecting PvP, and nothing too OP.

      If we are going by "earth like" logic, I guess that deer-kin (hart-kin) and bear-kin would not have tails (or would have short ones), but tiger-kin and wolf-kin would (have longer tails).

      Demons would also have tails, only different kind of tails, not furry ones like beast-kin but demon like tails.


      Angels would lose tails, and abominations tails would fall off?

      Perhaps just some achievement that could be displayed in dungeon owners housing area.

      For example:

      • player builds a dungeon that other teams can explore
      • there is time frame in which other parties must complete the dungeon
      • owner of dungeon could keep a score, how many times his dungeon managed to defeat attackers (they didn't finish it in designated time frame) and that score could be displayed on flag on players house, and number would update accordingly.
      • if attackers manage to complete dungeon in time, they could get some reward (there could be a cool down on dungeon attempts each player would have tracked for his own character, perhaps 1 dungeon attempt per day, this way dungeons wouldn't be abused to repeatedly hand out rewards)

      Fractured should, imho, have own imagined holidays, and not copy Earth holidays. Fractured world is reality of it's own, so why not it's own holiday system that could be immersed together with the lore and game play, partly through the whole year (preparations for holidays in some way).

      Earth holidays could also be included, but Earth holiday skins should be just temporary. This way players could play their game in other parts of year without being reminded of Earth reality. We play to escape the reality.

      In a game that supports procedural generation and SpatialOS, sure I can definitely see this down the line in one of the future expansions.

      This would require a decent development time, so I doubt we will see this on release, but down the line if game is successful enough, sure, it's quite possible. ๐Ÿ™‚

      I'm actually quite curious which AV version will they include in classic.

      I myself preferred older version full of elite NPCs around, it makes things more interesting. It's just landmines that I always found extremely annoying.

      I do appreciate them including multiple versions of the same spell. In this way power gap reduces and like @Target already mentioned we get a lot more spell combos to use, which only makes everything more interesting.


      Horizontal all the way. I can say for myself, I look forward a lot more to learning a "different spell effect" then just getting a same spell with 100 damage more. For me, discovering new knowledge just got incentivized a LOT more.

      It increases theory crafting possibilities which I enjoy a lot, and lets new players be a lot more competitive at the same time.

      One must consider that most people voting here are in fact the players with packages that will be playing with VIP, and voting for power gap would in fact give them advantage. ๐Ÿ™‚


      Players who prefer equal level battlefield are practically non existent here and most people here are voting for advantage of veteran players. Because it will be them who are these veteran players playing from start with VIPs.

      Only few players that I've seen here actually prefer a challenge in PvP and new players actually being competitive with them.

      So hopefully game gets designed with competitiveness of new players in mind, so there will actually be a point for someone new join in future after game release, so community can grow.


      Because if new player comes and gets owned by much more powerful veterans, he will not say "ok I will grind for a year and get this eventually"... he will go play something else instead.

      So I am happy to hear that power gap might not end up large. ๐Ÿ™‚
