    • RE: Character Field of View: Out of Screen Nameplates

@GamerSeuss yeah I agree with you, the idea of vertical bands was a demonstration by absurd, to prove that off screen nameplates are better, and combined with camera panning even better!

@Xzait not sure if they sell square screens actually, but on the same way I could buy a mega-big screen and be able to see the whole continent at once, unfair! 😛

@Xzait maybe you'll see the two other worlds too... 😛

    • Color Blindness and Health Bar

      Short version.
Health bar is something dark reddish.
Lost health is dark with a little transparency.
On terrain like grassland that transparency turns into dark greenish.
A bar made of dark reddish and dark greenish is not easy to be seen by a colorblind person, especially if it's thin.

There is no long version. 🙂

(I know this is QoL for a little portion of players, but still wanted to point it out, since I'm just a little color blind and with some effort I can tell the difference between mobs remaining and lost health, but those who are in worse condition than me will really have a hard time!)

    • RE: Patch Log - v.a.2.5.0f + Jail System Info

      @Kralith you nailed it!
Some people think that PvP = Strong Big Ganker suddently raining down on Unexpecting Farming Noob.
Almost every game that doesn't address wild PvP ends up losing its whole PvE population, which means dead game more sooner than later.

    • Metal Gear not so Solid

I've crafted my first copper long sword and I'm so proud of it!
Then proceeded the hack down some goblins with it.
After about 1000 gold farmed (and about 50 wolf meat, since wolves are always in the way), my sword is already at 50% durability.
Ok ok, I'm all good with gear deteriorating so that you always have to replace it, but a copper sword costing 15 raw ores and 12 charcoals is lasting so little while the primitive spear was like eternal?
I don't know what the prices will be in the end for stuff like copper, coal or an already made sword but well, it looks like a bit fast breaking for a metal item.
All considered other equipment categories (non-metal) look easier to obtain in effort terms, and probably have similar if not better durabilities.
Going full metal equip just to see it break down after 2000 gold farmed could be a little too much.

    • RE: Safe zone combat

@Biglulu I agree on that, the defender should be able to do the trick, since he has been attacked, but the attacker is technically a criminal, why would a city accept to protect him?
Unless of course the city is "evil", but in that case noone should be protected in its limits.

    • RE: citizenship, but where am I?

@JesseJane it would make sense indeed!
Also it wouldn't be bad a chat channel for citizens, since we have party and we have guild, but we won't assume that every citizen will also be a guild member!

    • RE: Stealin Carts

@Xirinki big no on being able to steal from carts and wagons in personal plots.
I can't be forced to stay online 24/7 to defend my stored stuff.
To hoard ores you have to go mine them, that's the point where you can be robbed, assaulted and so on, or you can just arrive at the mining site and find they've already been mined.
      But stealing while I'm offline?
In the same way you can't destroy other people houses or loot their chests, wagons should be protected too.

    • RE: Pulling the rug out from under new mage players.

@OlivePit personally I think that I would like more a game with roles better defined.
A warrior hits you in the face.
      A healer heals you.
An assassinate strikes you in the back.
I've played a lot of Guild Wars 2, and while I find it a really good game, the idea of the destruction of the old trinity has started to feed me up a little.
I mean, I already play a Healer Warrior in GW2, which makes no sense, healing by shouting, like motivators in a gym! 😛

    • RE: [suggestion] Pvp zones

@TheLichKing said in [suggestion] Pvp zones:

I like and support this idea although I think there should be a restriction on when you can steal carts if they're inside your residence

      Like never.
You cannot force people to be online 24/7 to protect their stuff.
