      it works like Zelda did on the NES. it's just a character movement. ➡ moves the character toward East, ⬅ moves the character West,⬆ moves the character North, ⬇ moves the character South. Now it isn't limited to those 4 directions, you can have 8 base movement too.

      you can visit the other thread and look for my Spiral Knights video. But it works just like it would on a controller on console. I've even mentioned it allows for certain disabilities to play the game.

      but click to move is horrible compared to wasd. I can keep the mouse over a target and run around, you can't do that with CTM. you have to move the mouse to where you want to run, click, move the mouse to your opponent then do you ability, then move the mouse to run again, etc. I just keep moving while keeping my mouse over you.

      and 8 directions could be higher but you only need 4.

      So the resources, time and quest are the limit on learning new skills? Then why put Knowledge Points in the VIP at all? Why give the illusion that it's going to help when it won't. It almost seems as though if VIP gives the illusion of power people will buy it.

      one thing that's changed over the years is information. Back in UO we still were reading magazines to get our information about new games or any tips n tricks within them. Now we can hop on youtube and watch a walkthrough or visit the website that datamines to see new content before it's released. If you're having a problem with a quest, just read the comment section on that datamine site for the walkthrough (or watch the link to youtube).

      We use to have hard decisions when building our character and we have no information to go on, just the description on the character or talent sheet. I remember picking a Fireball skill in Diablo 2 because it has the highest base damage. Eventually I used a character trainer to try the frost orb and then it dawned on me how different these spells are and that the description & numbers listed on the tooltip weren't explaining it all.

      What had me log in UO and DAoC were my friends. I had no idea what I was doing back then so everything was new and exciting. It reminds me when I played Monopoly for the first few times. Now when I play Monopoly I can see who's going to win after 30-60 minutes.

      I bought the CE of SWG but never played it. It had some interesting concepts. They wanted a world where pub dancers were needed and it allowed players to do something completely different in a game. It wanted to create an organic world where small professions had huge roles to play.

      Now it seems the pace is hastened, the sense of adventure is gone. mobs aren't a threat unless you're in a dungeon or raid. Professions don't matter because gear drops are better in raids. PvP is instanced and a win can happen in less than 10 minutes. and you'll never lose gear because everything can be infinitely repaired.

      Then the online bullies, aka trolls, entered the game created a toxic environment which pushed out many females and forces those that stay to 'have thick skin'. Right now this community is one of the better ones i've seen. We're still learning about the game, still speculating, still butting heads on points of view but we're having good conversation that should be building a good community. If there was a way to shun the trolls and keep them out then this could be the best community!

      if the servers are only up for a weekend then i doubt you'll need a monitor. if the server is only up for 5 hours, you wont need a monitor.

      they'll email, post in the tester section when the test will be. you just have to add that to your phone calendar so you don't miss it.

      my point will always be: if it affects combat it shouldn't be in VIP. KP and Learning Slots do just that. they help open the character to new skills which does effect combat. Cosmetics don't do that.

      I'm the monitory here, I'd prefer to see just pure cosmetic in VIP than anything that touches combat in any round-about way. I personally believe Fractured could do well without VIP at all. Offer packs of unique cosmetics that are limited time. Offer different tiers of said armor (or multiple sets) just like PoE does. Add in some bank tabs/customization for that and you're golden! You plan to offer mounts that means you could include mount cosmetics in the packs too.

      so if you purchased the Immortal tier specifically for the lifetime VIP and if Knowledge Point and Learning Slots were removed would you have still paid for that tier or would have you purchased a cheaper Kickstarter tier?

      it was given to you at level 5 and upgraded as you leveled (with materials) to epic or whatever quality but there was never a "oh wow a new weapon with much better stats" because you just didn't do that.

      That could work on the Beast planet but would give them a huge advantage in PvP (as they'd have more raw resources being a coop planet). I'm all for some struggles but I'd want the distribution of resources to be equal. IE if one beast nodes can give 25 raw resources but the equivalent human/demon only gives 3 then there's a problem. Only balance I can think of for that is the beast would need 25 per item whereas the demon/human would need 1-3.

      or I just wait for you to harvest it then kill you for it 😄
