      @Farlander said in Dont forget the RPG:

      There has to be something to engage the players in the end game. What is planned for end game material for players that do not wish to pvp? Because once players have seen all they can see and finished their skills they need something to do. Hunt for rares? Hunt for achievements? Maybe install some kind of player tools to host their own server events.

      quest dont engage end game players. usually quest just guide the player to a battle. Fractured will have raids and dungeons. BUT most of the content will be conflict with invasions and political.

      this isn't a treadmill game.

      @Farlander

      beast planet will only have limited areas of pvp. if someone is outside a 30 run from invasion points then they'll never participate in pvp.

      @Roccandil

      other than being a crafter or harvester, i'm not expecting much else. sure there will be some raids but Prometheus already said the want the solo player to experience as much as possible.

      if you're expecting treadmill level of quest and action then Fracture wouldn't be for you.

      I will say that Eve Online is a sandbox and they have bounties, which you speak to a bounty agent and they give you a place to find them. but other than that and the starting tutorial there isn't much other than PvP.

      resources will be different on the planets but not necessarily better. If you decide to be a Beastkin then PvP isn't happening outside of invasions. Humans will have invasions pretty often while Demons will be the aggressors toward all invasions.

      there's land, cities, etc that factions will fight for. we aren't aware of the resource layout so people trying to pick a spot to place a city will happen later. There'll be pvp on the asteroids but I dont have any information on how often the appear.

      right now it's pvp for pvp sake.

      bots are usually banned. and they define bots as automated game play. although i'd love to see something where physically handicap can get wavers on their account. I'd love to see video games have more access to people!

    • RE: Pass for friends - the idea for the release

      @Plume

      I'll believe the players wont reach that plateau early unless their build is the skills given at creation.

      400 skills with 3 veneration of them is 1200 skills. if you need a tier 3 skill then it may take you longer to find the base skill then unlock the rank you want.

      @Plume

      i couldnt answer that. i'd say a month but we dont know how difficult the ranks will be nor if the skill acquisition will be random or static. it'd be neat that every character created would have their own locations for skill knowledge.

    • RE: Ideas for Content Pills

      I'd love to see a "behind the scenes" type content. Written, live stream and vod would be great to have. Crowfall did this and it was very interesting see how the land could be changed between negative and positive z-axis while keeping the mesh looking great.

      There's many aspects of game development that are often overlooked like sound FX, Particle FX, GUI, asset creation, etc, that people would want to see.

    • RE: Ease up Starting Zone Gathering Resources

      there needs to be an incentive to leave the starting area. having low resources is definitely a way to do that.

      i'd say just enough personal resources so a person can make some equipment.

      @Logain said in Int, is the most important crafting stat!:

      Wouldn't that be something to adjust and discuss in/during beta, when the game is feature complete and one can really evaluate and compare the concrete usefulness of stats?

      Wouldn't it be better to acknowledge that INT is a problem when it's the primary attribute for every craft? I'd prefer to let DS know now than when it's in beta and harder to change the UI and other systems.

    • RE: Unique mounts

      @Esher

      maybe we could chose your mount based on your location. i doubt you'd take a tropical mount into the desert! you wouldn't take a desert mount into harsh winter climate.

      then it allow DS to introduce some client specific breeds. elephant species 1 in desert/plains area, while another species could be for tropical. horses could be the same.

    • RE: to the developers

      first i've heard of the Legends of Aria and it doesn't have the same core personality that Fractured has.

      LoA looks more like a dark souls inspired game, which Fractured isn't.

      it could be possible that DS (company behind Fractured) is selling assets they create to generate more revenue, if they are then i don't have a problem with it. that's pretty innovative, imo.

    • Claw Weapons!?

      Was browsing Imgur and a thought hit me. I'd love to have some claw weapons. I'd prefer them to be more full hand instead of the single to triple version.

      Maybe Finger Claws on a glove like this image: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/__Ea38w7NiE/maxresdefault.jpg (it's a really big image and I didnt want to directly post it.)

      I can see the Demons having more natural versions but any advantage is good for us!

      oh, i misunderstood.. sorry!

      i have to say, even if they're buy assets and changing them a little, or not at all, and it's cheaper than building them from scratch then it's a pretty good decision financially! So long as there's no copyright issues, i'm ok with it.

      @Kralith

      but i'm saying if you can buy assets already made, in the style you need, then why spend the extra funds to have someone create it from scratch. I can see buying it for a base and changing some things here and there. but if it's an exact match then just buy it to save the time if it's cheap enough.

      @keshanberk

      YOU made a claim, YOU didnt back it up with multiple examples in the first post. Personally i'm not mad at all. If it's cheaper to buy the assets than to create them then buy them. How many ways can you create a wolf, bear, deer, rabbit, etc. You'd be spending a weekly salary for someone, which is probably in the 200-500/wk or buy it already complete for 14$.

      even this is a whole city for 50$. there's no way you can hire people to do that cheaper.

      15$ or less for the cheapest package isn't exactly "immense prices through KS". ok so KS was 20$ minimum for the game but their sale is cheaper.

      I believe this game will do much better than the one you mentioned.

      best to copy Eve Online's system. it's very open-ended.

      Never seen it. Screenies? 😄

      https://updates.eveonline.com/card/5BSkX/corporation-roles-interface-improvements/

      I'm having issues seeing images for it. but it allows you to set permissions for each role while also creating any roles you want. It also lets you restrict access to assets in different zones/stations (think guild bank but nearly every system has one).
