I think that's the most plausible answer instead, but that would be hard having to do 2 livestreams, as well as it's hard going back and getting all the juicy info for one livestream.

they could do 1 live stream then restream it at a later time. ie do it at 9am their time and restream it around 9pm their time.

everything is player crafted, there will be very limited exceptions, mobs will drop resources.

people die and can be looted, and I assume gear will degrade beyond repair so a new set will be needed eventually.

I know some stuff has its own app or harasses you to use it.. and I never see the appeal unless there is functionality that can't be done easily otherwise. With their website I just don't feel theres anything to warrant it. Besides maybe them getting a little extra advertising in.

I do like the convenience to the content via the shortcut but I could just create a shortcut to the fractured website.

how it is fun to PK without a reward? Why do PvE raids get rewards by killing bosses but PK don't get a thing?
I expect gear to be easily replaced, so any fear of it being replaced will quickly be overlooked.

I wouldn't drop anything right now. It seems like a good system in theory. splitting the game types between the planets while allowing occasional conflict will keep the worlds active.

There's no doubt that some people have just spammed alt accounts, but it's easy enough to level. If you make a contribution to a good forum thread then you'll probably win a weekly award at some point as well. I already have.

1. Will we have a mechanic to offer rewards to goods moved from one location to another? IE can I offer 100g to get 50kg moved from city a to city b with a deposit incase the courier is killed?
2. Can we travel a few long time without food, a few days without water or will we need to take a bit of food for every step we take? -I'd like that HP wouldn't drop if we don't eat for a few game weeks but maybe another stat could be reduced. Water can be a week tops then negatives start.

the forums are great on mobile. even on my small iphone 7 it's a great UX. The only problem I have is with the post area using all of the screen and no means to minimize it so I can find other content to add to my post.

Only issue I have with the Foundation is the quest section doesn't skip to what level I am. It doesn't move completed quest to the back of the list.
It would be neat to have continuous scrolling for the News/Spotlight section.

I disagree with lowering alpha price. I know for a fact that people will get in it, try it out for a month then request/demand a refund.

more people in alpha testing means more information to filter out. It's more CS work too.

@Prometheus if you really wanted to lower Alpha to the 30 tier then have Stretch Goal 1 include alpha 1 at a lower level.

it could be that people did their starting quest and are letting the daily points level them. or they didn't see anything here to keep them interested and have moved on. There are some that might check monthly or quarterly for progress. Seeing 31k accounts is similar to how games claim 31 million account but they never list that only 1m are active.

We've heard that some people don't have access to a credit card which KS requires. KS is owned by amazon and you can't even use the amazon balance. I believe DS thought they'd reach their 100k the first day because of their '31k accounts' but didn't account for who's active right now. Talk is cheap but when it comes to placing cash down people remember how they've been bent over from other developers via crowdfunding. They also see other KS campaigns that are still in development but KS was tagged as a 2 year development time before release.

Validation on a game is when you ask for money, not forum accounts or even forum participation. I will say that the Foundation system is the best engagement I've seen from a developer and I expect to see others copy it. Normally I'm on Reddit but here I'm on the forums because it's active.

Been here 5 months and it adds up.

I have high hopes for this community, even though it's small compared to others. We have to be the people who don't converse with the toxic; we have to be the ones to click on that ignore and report; we have to be the ones to shun that toxic behavior.

We have to be the change we've asked for in other communities.

I really think some spotlights on governing/towns and crafting need to come out ASAP. Having so many higher tier kickstarter rewards tied to governing with little to no information is likely hurting the purchasing of those packs. I've also seen a lot of posts on the forums from the crafters who have precious little information to go on which I think leads to people staying on the fence of whether to purchase or not.

yeah that was like the VIP entry before it was explained. We don't need a Spotlight length post but at least some idea of how it works or why I want to be a gov of a town.

I haven't pledged due to bills really, I'll wait until I have some extra money then probably grab a pack.

The forums were a good place to have enjoyable conversations even if some disagree (I'll point to my many conversations with Finland) but we still kept it civil.

Game communities are notorious for being toxic. We can continue that and repel new people from the Kickstarter and other communities or we can change and be better people towards each other. It takes a little work to to toxic but you can type it out, then click the discard button. You'd be surprised how great it feels to let the toxic out but no one reads it. I've done this a few times myself.

@prometheus I pledge already but people that I talked to, says that the game look generic from the videos, so they just want to wait, maybe show the difference? Maybe more PVP and skills? Something splashy, that will give the WOW effect.

I made a comment on this well before the KS was mentioned, saying that DS probably wants good testers and putting it at a lower amount means people will play it for a few months then get a refund because it isn't fun or doesn't have a certain mechanic. Keeping the testing phases higher usually means the people understand that it's a test and not a finished product.

I have the pack I'm interested in and don't plan on upgrading. it'll depend if I have the cash by the end of KS to keep it or reduce it. I understand others' perspective that they feel let down from developers of other games. I backed Mighty No. 9 and it was constantly pushed back. I have it, but never played it. I've backed 22 total projects on Kickstarter, some were fully backed and some weren't, some were fully backed and they refunded the donation. There was a reason I created my KS thread. I'm not saying I'm correct in everything but I haven't learned a few things.

You're pretty much done with forum backers and now you need to advertise the game a little. Get on Imgur, Reddit, Facebook, Google, Twitch and advertise there.

Being active on the forums is cheap. When you ask for money you see true community!

There are some people that can’t use KS because they don’t have access to credit cards. Even prepaid cc aren’t available as I’ve asked.
