1m to logout to character select or quit but your character stays in the game world for 15 minutes! this will encourage people to keep pushing till they reach a town or have friend that'll babysit till the character is gone.

i'm going to guess that will happen because you will lose in a 1vX fight. The amount of skills available to the group will always be better than the base for the solo player. I do see some unofficial no-pvp times being coordinated so people can gear up. I also expect to see basic to intermediate gear as the best demons will have on average. To invade human and beast planets we'll need numbers to offset the gear difference (if it's more than 10% between naked and top end).

Yes. That's how it works in PvP games. Otherwise people will run and force a disconnect by unplugging the ethernet, disconnecting wifi or removing power to the router/modem. It was a commonly used system in UO back in the 90's. The answer to that was to keep the character in the game world for a period of time to force the player to fight or to run to a safe area (like a city).
I wasn't aware the system worked like that for Eve. Was that there since the beginning or was that changed?
the logout timer we're speaking of is when the character in the game world vanishes. It isn't the timer that you have to wait through to change characters or exit the game. It's there to prevent abuse from people wanting to 'terminate' their connection or client so their character can't be killed.
example is when you are chasing a demon. you get some attacks on them and start to run. you follow. they turn a corner and hide in some bushes. your camera position can't really see it that well. you continue to run around hoping to see them. What the did was jump in the bushes and pulled the network plug on their PC so the client disconnects. With a 15m logout system the demon will stay in the game world for 15 minutes. This give you time to find them and kill them. With a 1 minute system you might not find them.
I'm sure there's a term for what I'm describing but I'm not thinking of it.
What we're not saying:
you press escape, then press logout or exit. Then you wait for 15 minutes. That isn't what we're saying. That timer can be 1 minute! or instant if you're in a safe city. -

If looting someone taking 5 min that a bad gameplay design. It should take 5s so you can keep fighting.games are now too easy and hold your hand too much. UO had the ability to put bags in bags to keep stuff safe or to organize them. if looting takes 5s then there's a problem.

it's a blend of a few ideas. there isn't any one game that describes it well enough.
it's mixing the arpg with mmo. it's mixing pvx but also keeping it mostly separated on planets with occasional invasions. no class restriction.
I believe this game, if executed as i believe the vision is, will bring back the exploration that current games lack. this will or should feel like we're playing a video game for the first time. so long as the 400 abilities aren't in static spots for everyone.

they have other skills developed already. in that video they could have had a fire so they could swap skills (didn't have to show it).the game looks like a generic arpg from that video. now it's possible that video was there to showcase the environment and actions between the electricity and water but wasn't mentioned in the first post. it looks well polished, similar to the level of blizzard (a compliment to you and the team @Prometheus), but it is lacking.

1 min isn't enough. this is a sandbox game where death has meaning. if you know your logout is 15 minutes, you'll spend 14 minutes making your sure character is safe.i don't want safe worlds. i would play wow if so.
we don't know of 5s is enough time to loot someone. it could be possible that bags can be placed in bags like happened in UO. i've heard of stories of it taking 5 minutes to open all the bags to get to good gear while the other bags had junk in them.

all testing phases will have wipes. we'll definitely have a wipe before the game releases.
There could be a wipe every patch if something is changed enough.

As lifetime sub isn't what i really want.I would prefer more UNIQUE KS skins, pets, buildings or emotes of some kind.
PS: PLEAES make an Homepage based selling site too for packs .. I and alot of other people, don't own creditcards. In europe it's not the norm to have them, as we can do that with our bankaccount cards just fine. When you add homepage selling, do some early birds there to for fairness. + You can keep selling KS packs or reduced benefits packs while going through the phases.
you can't use your bank card online?

It gives the choosing of inadjustable attributes some flavour, as you can actually see that the skinny guy has to use magic, as there is no muscle on him to properly wield a sword, whereas the strong warrior with plate armour should look more muscular in comparison and the dextrous fighter slimmer, but still not too skinny.
I watched an anime where physical build was a base to magic. Stronger body, meant stronger magic (to a point I assume).

i've played poe since the league started and my wrist hurts because i have to use the lmb to move my character. it could be better if i had the option to bind a 'force move' to something else.
