Exactly.
Every thing I tested worked better than the test before.

Once again I see many get the wrong idea of what "Alpha" test is and should be.
This has been a problem over the last several years due to many companies exploiting the Alpha name to milk money early.
I have told people that this is a true Alpha in the sense there is no game to play, and is mainly testing certain features.
Many of us do this so we can see early builds.
The "Fun" is irrelevant in Alpha as many of the current items/designs will change over time.
The instant decision to uninstall or quit when something seems bugged or annoying is a side effect of the earlier exploit of Alpha testing as mentioned above.
I don't know if there is a way to remedy these reactions, except maybe to advise that this is a true Alpha and not the common use of the name?
Currently the testing is in true "Alpha" and crafting is basic.
You might check around for all the features that are expected in the future.
Welcome.
First and foremost, testing is over at the moment. For package holders, there should be another test in a few weeks.
If you do not have a package, make sure to get one!

The last test was basically exploring and working on certain aspects of the build. It was very limited in what it could do.
Hope to see you in game soon.
Not sure if it makes a difference, but I use and have always used a Logitec Trackball. (Thumb style)
I played a hefty amount this test (on earlier) and have ran the entire continent with no real stress on my hand.
But I completely understand the point.
Excellent work, keep it up.
As usual an excellent write up.
I will add a few of us tested PVP for 2 hours on each other and had a great time. (Stun is too powerful)
I personally had a harvesting bug in the NW part of the map. Several items would not harvest, generally in the North Mountains and slightly east.
some slight hitching near the deeper parts of rivers, but nothing game breaking.
One chat channel made it hard as previously mentioned. (With it being a true Global channel, there were many languages spoken)
The addition of non package players helped and hurt. Many of the same questions were asked and answered every few minutes. (Maybe a quick link can be added, or something to save typing over and over)
Overall a good test and created a ton of excitement I believe.
My system had a continuous 40-50 fps with low MS.
That's an interesting change...bug?
Yeah, I think the open test will get more interest for sure.
