    • RE: Crafting Times and Resource Respawn Times

      I disagree with this.

The respawn time is totally fine, if anything I would argue it's too quick considering the abundance of nodes in certain areas.

In previous tests there have always been an abundance of resources for sale on the market, so even if you don't want to farm them yourself, buying them is often also just as viable.

    • RE: Add another row to the inventory

I actually disagree. Inventory management is important in games were economy is a main focus, and I feel we are in a good spot right now.

    • RE: So what build is everyone going for when the servers come back online?

I'm honestly not sure what I want to play. Previously I made a hunter type build that I enjoyed a lot. So perhaps something similar.

What I'm really looking forward to is working the economy. That was a lot of fun previously.

    • RE: Fractured Online - Early Access

Just a quick bit of feedback, whoever did the voiceover for the trailer nailed it. Had an epic feeling.

Also, the following reddit post is currently the top thread on r/MMORPG:
      https://www.reddit.com/r/MMORPG/comments/wqnq5q/fractured_online_early_access_september_15/

Which shows it's at least got people curious about it. Which is promising.

    • Website confusion / display issue

      Hi,

I just noticed the following post on reddit:
      https://www.reddit.com/r/fracturedmmo/comments/wqwfr1/had_an_email_today_that_linked_to_a_different/

The person in question is worried the link in the email isn't correct. Having looked, the website also isn't displaying correctly so I can understand some of their confusion.

I haven't replied, as I thought an Admin/mod might appreciate the opportunity.

    • RE: Feedback/Why I've stopped playing

Correct me if I am wrong, but for people who don't want any PVP or risk, they wont have to be concerned about this on the PvE planet?

So I assume this is fixed by simply awaiting the PvE planet.

Just like us wanting the PVP environment - We are awaiting that world.

    • RE: Fractured Online - Free Week

Hi, just wondering if there will be any kind of PVP event for this? (or possibly at a later date).

      Thanks 🙂

      Either way, hope it's successful.

    • Market - Sales lacking durations

Probably not a bug as much as a feature net yet added(?)

Items placed on the market should really have a duration. At present I am noticing that marketplaces are full of items and if they don't sell, they never drop out of the market (unless they are but I can't tell).

I'm not sure how this works, but if we assume some players take a break from playing, but their items stay in the market indefinitely, you in theory could end up with thousands of auctions in each city.

This also takes away value of sales from people that are actively playing.

I'd recommend a duration of 1x week per auction submission.
(The market should also take a small % cut of payments to act as a gradual gold sink - which would help with inflation)

    • RE: Repairing? Kind of.

As someone who is mainly focusing on economy, I am personally against both repair and dismantle.

In some games I don't mind those options, but at the moment the Fractured world is already suffering greatly from inflation, due to too few gold sinks.

If anything I feel we need more reason to replace gear.

Since release of the Beta, I have only replaced my gear ONCE due to durability, and that was mainly because of a change in build.

Just my two cents, but I don't think this game needs it.

    • RE: Temperatures & Weather Feedback Thread

I'm personally LOVING the addition so far. It adds the extra depth other games lack.

To the other players in this thread, please remember this is a beta. The items to deal with cold/warmth haven't been designed yet and should come shortly after the technical implementation.

Once it's standard, you will be able to buy most of the things to deal with warmth / cold from the market anyway, so it's really just an extra bonus to the game.

@GamerSeuss is spot on in his rational. You need the core foundations in place before you fix the smaller issues, which is exactly what they are doing (and doing well).

    • A hardcore/permadeath option?

Just something I was pondering about, but these days a lot of people like to play Hardcore/Permadeath characters.

Now this isn't something I'm a fan of myself (because I suck), but there is a pretty big market for it and I do enjoy watching streamers / videos of people taking up these challenges. It seems to be a growing market.

If we look at some of the modern big MMO's, they are starting to include this as an option, and it does seem to draw in some specific players. Granted it's a small amount compared to the overall population, but it still exists and helps bolster the numbers.

I personally think that if it was a character creation feature, it would fit in quite well with the game. Create your character and there's a tick box at the bottom indicating hardcore character. If you select that option, and you die in the game (get knocked down), your character is then no longer playable.

It's not something I would personally do, but I can see a lot of masochists taking up the challenge.
Certainly not an urgent feature, but should be quite easy to implement and a healthy addition to the game.

    • RE: Potential problem with the market -mail notification system...

@OlivePit said in Potential problem with the market -mail notification system...:

it also allows the creation of serial victimization.

This should only be an issue on the PVP planet to my understanding, and honestly, I think on that planet it's fair game.

If anything I actually want that kind of crazy thing going on. I have no doubt that guilds would very quickly band up and stomp out any issues like that within an owned town. Kind of adds the extra danger element that a lot of us PVP planet players want.

    • RE: This might be killing fractured population

Probably also worth mentioning that once the game is on Steam, it will be able to be paid for via their methods.

I.e, you can buy steam gift cards etc.

    • RE: Limited uses for recipes

My personal view is that full gear crafting should be available to everyone, constantly. Perhaps only certain town crafting benches allow certain crafts. This visually gives people something to work towards and acts as a carrot on a stick. It would also give certain towns a uniqueness.

However........resources for the better gear is increasingly harder to get. For example:

(Easy accessibility) Hide Armour - 10x leather, 5x linen weave
(Average accessibility) Leather Armour - 20x leather, 10x linen weave, 5x dire wolf hide, 1x fox tail
(Hard accessibility) Assassin Leather - 50x leather, 20x linen weave, 10x dire wolf hide, 5x fox tails, 1x dragon fang
(Extremely hard accessibility) Shadow Armour - 100x leather, 50x linen weave, 20x dire wolf hide, 5x fox tails, 1x shadow wax, 1x shadow dragon scale

      etc etc

Making the best gear harder and harder to get/farm the materials.

This way everyone can make the gear, but really you need to either go out and get the materials yourself, or expect to spend a lot of money on the market purchasing them.
(The market should also take a % cut of payments to act as a gradual gold sink - which would help with inflation)

This also encourages grouping up to farm materials, which is healthy for the game.

    • Houses don't block projectiles.

House walls do not block projectiles.

Not too much of a problem right now, but this will be an issue on the PVP planet when everyone is out for blood.

    • RE: Possible Exploit to report

Perhaps knowledge points / mastery should be capped in the tutorial zone. That way you can only progress so far and it's not worth staying there to max out all those points.

    • RE: Bug Collection ! :)

I disagree. I hunt foxes and rabbit frequently and I would say the rare drops from them add to the value of the material.

It's nice to actually get an item that has some worth on the market.

Plus, there will likely be more in circulation when the game has more players (release).
