    • RE: I've Noticed something on Bug reporting.* How to Bug Report*

      I am agreeing.
But i have concerns, if it would be better, when we would have more sections, since people keep to post in one. Some people might see their suggestions as major issue. Hard to set a good line there.

What we could do is to write a kind of How-To-Post-Bugreports.
We had such one written by someone in Pre, just don't remember who it was.
But in general it was some Guideline how to write a good report and sort its importance by yourself πŸ™‚

    • RE: What to Expect during Alpha 2?

      @RedRum69 pssst, Alpha 1 Test 2 πŸ˜‰

      as for your question:

      • testing basic features
      • hitting bugs and reporting them
      • trying to imagine how the game will look like later
      • being aware about, that many many features and area looks are missing
      • Having fun to help the studio to get the foundation of the game working in the right way

    • RE: I've Noticed something on Bug reporting.* How to Bug Report*

@Oxfurd poor Specter will have much more work then πŸ˜‰

If i watch the Forum, we have almost a very good report behaviour.
I see here very seldom derails.

I think such things can help to make it more sorted:

      • Before you post, think about, if it is really a bug or more a suggestion!
        • a bug is, if an actual feature is not working. Means, if the feature is not usable in the way it was announced.
        • a suggestion is, if you feel, there should be way more possibilities on a feature to make it to a really nice and godd feature.
      • Mark your post at the titel front!
        • there is no rule, how you mark it, because everyone has the own system. But mark it. That makes it easier for others to find your Report and add things to it.
        • Marker can be different kind, but it helps to decribe in the titel at least the feature that is affected, like: Blueprints, Building, Crafting, Movement, Fight, UI...
        • also it helps, if you define in your titel when you know it is an QOL/Suggestion/Question/Guide or whatever. Obvisiously you don't need to write "Bug" in your titel, if you write an Bug Report in the Bug Report Section πŸ˜‰
      • Place in your report as precise description as possible. That does not mean you need to write novels, but a simple "Crafting a better armor is not possible." is not really enough, if you wanted to say, it does not work, because some materials are not ingame to do so. Write, what you did, when the problem hit you. Make Screenshots if possible.
      • last but not least, if you write down something, stay objective oriented.

...more to add πŸ˜„ ... who want to write some suggestions to the people who use the Alpha Test Forum? πŸ˜‰

@Hamatschy They are useful, to get new people aware of forum using.
For spamming daily posts we have already a single Thread thats called "Daily Message posting".
For the "Write a new topic on the forum" Quest we have the "Welcome to Fractured" Category.

If you are annoyed about all the new Treads, just mute the said forum. πŸ˜‰

      and it changes before release!

For sure there will be changes at many features till release.
But that does not make this guide in any kind less useful.

For now it works like this and if someone dives into it that deep as @PedroBillyMattos did and make a great guide for all who don't have that patience, then we get much more people into it to test it.

    • RE: Any idea when this game will be playable?

@charlespayne exactly described by Yitra "That depends on your definition of playable." πŸ˜‰
I think you point out, when the game will have enough content to be worth to play.
I am expecting a good amount of content in Beta 2 and therefor the most possible good playable test version, since it will be the version that will be most close to the release candidate.
But you should be aware about, that even in Beta 2 we will have not all content thats planned, not even with release start πŸ˜‰
But playable in sense of enjoyable, it will hopefully be in Beta.

If you like to find Bugs and help to improve the Game Developement with constructive critism, then you will probably also have fun in Alpha 2 πŸ˜‰

"Deadly" wasn't aimed at a person, it was targeted at the project.

Well, that makes it not less harmful πŸ˜‰
Because he did said "I am more deadly..." - for me it looks like someone who makes bad reviews/comments/ratings, if the Studio don't act as he want.

He is not totally wrong, the masses on gamer on this planet can destroy a game in no time for reasons others not even understand, how you can rage about.
This happens daily on Steam: People who just take a look for a few hours or even just minutes to an early access game and rate it to the death.

Ohh you are a bad guy πŸ˜‰
You should explain what they did wrong in your eyes, if you saw it coming long before.

      As for the topic @Rokesh
I think nobody can give you a 100% guarantee, because there can be always things that hit the Studio hard and therefor they run out of money.
We just can cross our fingers, that they can walk throught the Alpha&Beta and being able to release and that it will be a success.

For my personal experience with Dynamight Studio, especially their 3 Founder, i can say, thats awesome guys with a big passion for the game idea.
They already have at their head three people who fill the most important Jobs at the Studio:

      1. A smart CEO and Programmer
      2. An ambitious Game Designer
      3. A blessed Art Director

Also, their Voice (the CEO Prometheus) was always honest.
Maybe sometimes a bit silent, but honest to all things that already hitted the Studio. (for example the Unity/Improbable Conflict and messed up first Open Stresstest).
If they stay at their path and don't struggle with the future Publisher, i feel, it can be a good game release.

So just lets cross our fingers for our Dynamights! πŸ™‚

    • RE: What I "DO NOT" want to see in this game

@Clinion i can understand your concerns about things you don't want in a game.
But don't do the mistake to compare games development with each other, because the studios are different with different ideas.
Even if a game looks very similar, it can be so different.

I am sure, Dynamight will do mistakes, as every other developement studio do in their life, and i am also very sure, they will do design decisions that maybe look at first sight somehow confusing to us.
Per example that they droped the Guild vs. Free Town developement and we will get just one kind of town.
At first mention i was like "Ohhh nooo, why?", but then they explained their decision and i was chilled again, because there are litterally no changes, you still can do a Guildtown and a Free town aswell.
But big Kudos to Dynamight, because they explained their decisions to us. I saw many other studios who did not.

Let's look to your concerns (some was already explained above):

      • Albion has no players cities, only cities with rich people buying all the spots. I do not want to see that happen in Fractured.

Fractured player cities will not be a "Single Project", that means, yeah, you will be probably able to take as a single player a town spot, but you will not be able to develope this to a big town (or maybe you will be able if you play 24/7, but i doubt it).
As mentioned before, you are just able to have a single personal plot, so you will not be able to "live" in 2 different towns.
And also if you are a Governor of a town, you will maybe lose this status. That means, a town will not be your "own" forever, because there is a planned Election System for Governors.

      • Gathering is very unpopular in Albion as far as I see. Game forces you to hardcore PvP and rewards those who does. Consequently people do not prefer gathering. Instead, they do newly introduced dungeons and hellgates to obtain money and gear.

This was mention above too, there will be no gear drop at Creatures.
That means for you, Gathering will be one of the main doing in this game, beside mining and creature drops of course.
You will need very much different materials for Crafting and Enchanting.
In Alpha2.2 we already have 2 Chests full of gathered materials and monster drops for Enchanting.

      • Related to previous matter, in a sandbox game, I would love to see gathering&crafting be the backbone of everything and they should be the primary focus.

It is for sure, because all you need to wear you have to craft by yourself or for trading with others.
Equip has a durability, so there will be always a need for.
Also it is planned, that you will not have this One-And-Only-BIS-Armor, but many different equip for different situations: Gathering Equipment with Luck-Enchant, Winter Equipment for icy biomes ... and so on.

      • Being a sandbox game should not indicate complete freedom. Currently in Albion, they are trying to reduce the power of huge alliances and guilds by applying certain debuffs and so on. Instead, there should be limits for number of players in a guild/alliance for proper control.

As i know, there are no planned guild limit.
But there will be limits on sieges. The exact value wasn't set, if i remember right.
Prometheus explained in the last Q&A, that at sieges will be limited slots on each side for participating in the Siege.
There will be a timeframe where you can register yourself to the Siege and just this people will be at the fight.
Registering on a Siege-Side/Defender-Side will be not limited to a guild or citizen of the sieged town.
That means, people will be able to help towns who are per example just trading/gathering/crafting towns, without being directly related to the town.

A part of this we will be able to test in the next Alpha Test in June.

    • RE: Immunity in pvp

@asspirin You can activate PVP with P and test the Skill bevaviour with someone else who activated it too.

But i guess the whole balancing of it will come while Beta.

But as for immunity itself. If someone has a fire immunity and a fire mage want to hit him, he will not get any chance to win. But if a Ice Mage comes across he will laugh about the fire immunity.
But thats the system of Fractured. To have the right skillset at the right time.

I am expecting a very interesting PVP in this case.

And i would not even mind skills that make a group around you stronger, more immune or whatelse.
And if it is an aura, you need to be creative if you want to win.

Always remember, each one has just 28 Memory points, so you have to chose wisely before you step into a fight.
You may not be able to change your skillset (sleeping at a fire) while a fight is going on.

    • RE: Targetting overview

Yes, the targetting is sometimes a bit hard, since people in front of your wanted target prevent that you can target it.
But i am absolutely against Tab-Targetting, that would make the fighting system boring and cheap.
If someone want to secure a friend, it must be possible to make him out of sight.
They surely have to work on the targetting, because even for PVE it is hard to fight at the actual state, but it should be an intelligent targetting.
Friendly units should get ignored as a target if you cast an attack skill, instead the unit behind should be in target.
Friendly units should be classified as target, if you want to cast a buff or heal.
That would help for PVE and for PVP aswell.

@Jetah said in This game will it be free to play someday?:

path of exile is free and it isn't a mobile game financially. f2p could work but i feel most developers/publishers push the cash shop over gameplay at that point.

Well yes, you can play PoE for free and can do all stuff without paying anything.
      BUT...
Without the extra Stashes, that you only can get in the Item Shop, you won't be happy to play it. Because too much stuff you will collect while playing the game.
That means, to enjoy really the game, you should at least spend between 20 and 40 Euros to the game to be fine.

And PoE has much more stuff to sell at the Shop, not just the cosmetics for your Charakter, but also the extra nice Furnitures for your Hideout.

Yes it is a Free to Play game, but it earns much much money with their packages, especially the seasonal ones, that you just can get a period of time.
I doubt someone who really play it for longer time will never spent money on the game.
