    • RE: What albion did wrong- not a bash thread

What Albion Online did wrong in my eyes (Alpha Player Since 2013) before keys went on sale.

      • Banned innocent people for (RMT) / (illegal gold trading) never actually gave any warnings or proved anything.
      • Tried to make the game based around multiple platforms rather than focus on (PC Only) and better graphics / Character Models & Costumes.
      • There is no solo PVP because its alaways gank / zerg fest everywhere you go.
      • Allow certain guilds such as (The Bank OF Albion) to violate their own (EULA / Trading Rules) Basically the guild controls the entire game economy through many alts and stuff such as what happened in Fort Sterling before when one person owned all the land / property, they charge insane tax rates to the players crafting.
      • Random DDOS & D-Sync issues.
      • Developers who blame the players for their own mistakes and threaten bans, laborer journals.
      • Having a Central Market, with no safe way to trade IMO is bad for the economy just drives up prices, and whales while the only safe way to transport is a command mammoth.

Over-All I hope to see this game better than Albion in many aspects, and not follow the same mistakes i've listed above as well as things like

      • Solo PVP Battle Royales
      • Team Based PVP
      • Sieges of different types.

Awesome, got $150 back, still saving to get my pack <3.

Though I can't really help but notice the Early Access Date of this game being "April 10th" same day that a failed game similiar to this goes "Free 2 Play" great to see some real competition going on, and some real developers actually making a great game <3.

    • RE: Preventing Bots in Arboreus

Heres some tips for developers to prevent b***

      • Put in some type of Captcha / Verification when a user logs into the game that must be entered and cannot be automated thus preventing 3rd party hack, or program from being able to login to the game.

      • Require Email Verification & give option for 2FA

      • Use a 3rd party payment processor to avoid charge-back fraud, or do not allow direct trading / exchange of currency in game for example gold to silver like in A* Online, this was the worst experience I've ever dealt with because the company introduced this bs and it allowed cheaters to abuse a lot.

      • Allow Free Trade, I really don't care what friends to among themselves, or if a user chooses to give away all their items, currency, or goods to newbies or randoms.

Personally I could care-less about what users choose to do to get free items in a game, my concerns are RMT that specifically involves the use of Fraud or Botting other than that whatever people do outside of the game and get in return is their own personal or private business.

Just doing these things helps prevent botting on a massive scale, as well as having the game buy 2 play, obviously there are humans that will attempt to cheat, and in China they actually hire little kids from what I hear to enter captchas and stuff thus rendering it useless, though the steps above combined with human interactions / GM's and investigations will help reduce the amount of cheaters / bots.

Also just because a person responds in chat doesn't mean they are not a bot.

Oh and "https://akismet.com/" is a piece of s* stop using it it's garbage.** Basically programmed by little children who can't code or even use a quantum computer /AI that can tell the difference between real spam lol.

Thanks any idea roughly a time frame on that, and also I tried to check one of the packages pricing as it's listed in "Euros" on my browser, and when I clicked the button it didn't work it showed an XSOLLA symbol but didn't do anything.

Looking at the $300/$450 pack btw.

Atually I hope the game has both gender options for it, Yes I cross play, and games that have "Gender Locks" I tend to avoid playing them all together, even The Witcher series due to gender lock I declined to purchase or play.

    • RE: What you think about vaping?

Ummm that's a hard question to answer...

I think Vaping is dumb just as smoking...

Everytime I see "Cigars" "cigarettes" or "Vape" I hear (Cancer).

Everytime I see someone doing any of this, I try to get away from it and hear their lungs crying out for help...

Obviously the choice is up to the person but perhaps in the future "Vape" won't be such a bad thing and there will be some actual added health benefits to vape instead of just bad stuff that is a waste of money...

But hey in the end, we're all slaves to the system, just a different type of slavery, and the FDA doesn't even care when it comes to passing new medical devices in the name of greed if you seen the documentary called the bleeding edge...

@prometheus said in In- Game Currency / Resource Rules?:

Hi @LilithDragonFlower, sorry for the slow reply, hectic days eheh. No, we're not going to ban people for trading items or resources without getting an equal or similar value in return, it's madness. It's something players could do for many legitimate reasons. I wasn't aware other companies did that - if they do, it's not related to the country they're from, it's just a policy they have.

Of course this doesn't mean we're not going to ban gold sellers and players who engage in RMT for game items. We will keep the attention on those practices very high.

Awesome thanks for the reply, just had to be sure on this, although i've missed the KS event now, but perhaps there will be other packs for sale at a later time, just think dragons are cool...

And yeah they are the only company that's actually banned anyone for that rule of exchange in equal value i've never seen or experienced that in any other game.

As far as Real Money Trading, personally I can see why companies don't want others making profit off their games / intellectual property so most companies ban this, although from a personal aspect I really don't care what people do with their money as long as they are not in a game soliciting, or spamming chat for selling currency, or using illegal bots to macro / bot to sell items but assuming two clean players who play legitimate decide to quit and sell (Their Time) for items to a fiend for example and give away all items to another person I personally see nothing wrong with this, it's what happened when I used to play Arche Age I had 3 friends quit all gave me their land and stuff for like $50.

But the problem with (Albion Online) is their game allowed people to buy (Gold) and convert it to (Silver) thus a lot of (3rd Party Gold Sellers) were buying lots of currency using stolen credit cards, and other various methods, then selling it to other people and doing a charge-back, even in some cases people who innocent would get banned for accepting trades with others who either participated, or did something they shouldn't have illegally.

^ This is something I hope this game can avoid having a "Real Money Exchange" like this to the point where players can commit fraud causing problems for the company, and for the player base, ganes like EVE Online" where players can sell Tokens for premium, or Cash Shop items are fine given there is a hold for all first time buyers of currency or something to help prevent these types of actions.

Read the Terms OF Service, says nothing about any questions I ask, so far onlly a Moderator says it wouldn't likely result in a ban.

Any confirmation from the actual "Managers" or "Company Employee?"

15 hours to go would like to throw a package on kickstarter.

@specter said in [Discussion] Ingame currency system, what we want to get?:

@lilithdragonflower Very very unlikely. Fractured's economy is fully player-run. I don't see why the devs would prohibit you from giving away items for free. In fact, I expect guilds to hand out gear to their members for free whenever they go to war.

Yeah the other game "Albion Online" was advertised the same way but 4.5.1 of their "TOS" says your not allowed to trade without anything of Equal Value in return or they will suspect you "RMT" and may Terminate your account.

Though I've never had any problem in many Sandbox games like "EVE" or "Dark Fall" with bans, but would like to confirm the actual policy from whoever makes the "Game Rules" / EULA for "Fractured" before possibly backing with $100+.

Fully player run economy is great, but sometimes I see companies putting limits on player trades and stuff.

    • RE: [Discussion] Ingame currency system, what we want to get?

Copy from other thread to main thread.

General Question, I know the game is still in development, I've been following a lot of Sandbox Games, and have some questions in regards to backing this game.

1.) The question is what are the rules on (Real Money Trading.), or Rather Giving away Resources, Items, or Currency to others users, friends, or guilds. (Not talking about China Farmers, or Botting / Automation Hacks of any type.)

Generally asking will a person get banned for trading, giving away items, or receiving items, Without anything of Equal Value in return?

I know this is kinda stupid to ask and i've been gaming 20+ Years, but out of every Sandbox MMORPG I've played I ran into Albion Online like 4 years ago, backed the game for 3 years, and got banned in 2017 just for accepting an investment from a group of friends in game trading, and they kinda have this stupid rule that says if you don't trade anything of Equal Value, they will assume you paid Real Money, and ban your account, which really disgusts me that CSR acts like Dictators, and censorship people complaining even though they admit that "Evidence" was reviewed, but may not have been accurate in a (CSR) ticket, but that game was made in G******.

So far this game does look like it could be a better Albion for sure, and it's developed in Italy? Can't really say i've played a game from over there before, so I am not really familiar with the Rules of games from other countries, usually most I play are from U.S, or other European Region like "Black Desert".

Edit: I read the "Fractured Games "Terms OF Service" I don't see anything in there that actually restricts "Real Money Trading" or says I can't give away items, but would like to know for sure before buying a kickstarter pack, or recommending this game in the big community discord groups what the stance is on trading policy with the company, and it would suck to lose a founders pack again.

    • RE: Haven't pledged? Want to upgrade, but not sure yet? Tell us why!

      @prometheus

Before backing the game I would like to know the company's stance on (Real Money Trading), or Giving away Currency, In Game Items, or Resources to other players.

This is likely a stupid question to ask, and I asked in another thread, but reason I am asking is because "Albion Online" has a section in their EULA that says "You may not trade items, or currency without anything of equal value in return, or we will assume you paid real money for it, and in short the company actually terminates your account without warning just for playing the game it's how I lost my 3 year backer account without reason, even though the company admit they review evidence and it may not have been accurate.

Other major Sandbox games don't really ban a user for trading or playing the game and if a user is unfortunate enough to come across someoen who has done "RMT" generally usually just removes items or currency obtained through a trade.

Also I read the Terms OF Service

I do not see anything that keeps players from engage in (Real Money Trading) or (Giving away items to other players) thus if I am going to "Back the game" I would like to be sure of all policy, and agreement before doing so, or before recommending this game to others for that matter as I come from some very large gaming community.

    • RE: In- Game Currency / Resource Rules?

@muker Thanks is that the proper place to ask, there's only 4 days remaining on a backer option for this game, and I only see it talking about like Currency Ideas, not so much the actual "Terms OF Service" of the game if players can freely trade on release, or risk like losing an entire account, or the stance on "Real Money Trading".
