There's plenty of German speaking players who have formed a good amount of groups already, but I doubt your English skill is going to be a problem.
If you should buy this game already... I doubt anybody can answer that other than you.
If you're expecting to play a game, no, I wouldn't buy now. It's an alpha, things aren't finished, plenty of stuff is still missing, even a good amount of 'basics'.
If you want to test and feel how a game is developed, maybe even have a little bit of influence on the direction the product might be taking, yes, if you're aware of the risks involved with that.

I doubt that anybody can actually provide you a real answer to that, simply because what is 'valuable' to you might be irrelevant to somebody else and vice versa.
Ask yourself if you want a lifetime VIP membership (if you need VIP status and plan to play longer, that pays off fast).
Ask yourself how many character slots you'd probably need (do you want to play beastman, human and demon and maybe specialize in different areas)?
Do you need to reserve your character name and is a mule and wagon going to be valuable enough compared to what other alternatives there are going to be in game?
I'd argue that only you can answer these questions for yourself.

Absolutely nothing!
The 'problem' is that it's a rather vocal group and that some of the (quality of life) features they 'request' for 'their playstyle' directly contradict what other groups require for their desired playstyle. The shift in design from harbors being built by and maintained by towns to independent fast travel hubs is an example of just that, it happened because of an outcry by that group, but it delves into a direction that contradicts the originally promoted design intentions.
That's why Gothix mentioned that there's other groups that want their voice to be heard as well, nothing more nothing less

Do we have any indication or source that could verify that's actually the plan (doing this in Alpha, but not at Release)? As far as I understood the move, it was planned as actual gameplay mechanic.

The key difference is continuous commitment and accessibility. The community would do it, but the studio would ensure that somebody's doing it and if the person that used to do it no longer is available, would get somebody else. And the average joe who doesn't want to read through dozens of forum pages would have access to the transcript right in the news posting (where it should be )

Yes, and no. I'm not saying that they should hire additional people or that one of the developers should take the task, but that it should be handled through 'official' channels. Give people the option to apply for that with a small in-game reward, if you have 2-3 volunteers, make sure the job's getting done in time and post the transcription in the official news post. That way it is very little work for the studio and it's still easily visible for people who don't browse the forum.

Prometheus really needs to rework the way he's presenting this kind of (important) information. Links to a recorded version have to be easily accessible on the webpage as soon as that's uploaded. And, important points should be transcribed.
