Are we allowed to know how many 'hundreds of players logged in the game at peak times' actually was? I just can't help my curiosity!
So basically, I wonder if you'd be willing to share the maximum number of players during peek time and the maximum number of players per minimal server unit/worker.
Congratulations to all winners!
Keep posting and having fun
It's certainly a great sign!
It seems that the open stress test does pay off and manages to convince people that they would like to participate more when it comes to Fractureds development. I'd wager the real income would start with Beta 1 or maybe even Beta 2 though.
I don't think it is actually a problem. The key idea behind exploration is taking a long amount of time traveling unknown territory, not going from 'place to place'.
Why does it pose a problem for you?
@Razvan said in What does "armor" mean?:
(...)That's why I said that "at this point" the mage is without any doubt the strongest class(...)
My blind guess would be that the mage armor was designed to last for a certain amount of time, in which case it would make sense to be 'better than normal gear, but for a short time', if there's a high enough cooldown and mana cost that prevents you from simply casting it over and over again.

(...)AI cant really determine the difference between a constructive post and "insert random 30 characters in message"(...)
This is indeed why it's done manually. It's not that much work though, I have to moderate the forum anyway.
Setting up a decent AI would be overkill for this task. What you should do though is crawl the forum, prepare a list with certain minimal criteria, then display the list of people with the posting that got the people on the list.
That way, you can easily and by a single glance exclude 'non constructive postings' and your workload is reduced drastically from at least an hour down to maybe 60 seconds each week.
Yes, you have to moderate the forum anyway, but that's vastly different from compiling a complete list of all people posting each week ^^
Then again, it's your time! I'm the last one to tell you how to spend it

@Jetah There's no bot. I manually add people to the drawing.
Are you doing this intentionally? It seems like you could save yourself a lot of work and potential stress. (No offense intended, I'm just curious for the motivation)
Congratulations to all winners!
Keep posting and winning these neat points!

I understand the development process (in a general context, not this specific one ) and I can feel your urge to try and make up for the 'possibly bad perception' some people might have had with the previous stress test. I still think that, since it's already been more than a month, the impact of an additional month wouldn't have tilted much of the perception or attention in a negative way, but the added functionality might have had a significantly positive impact on first impression. But you're the boss!
So, I wish you simply the best with the test and it's results (and am going to enjoy it myself).

I'm curious, is there a reason why you decided to host the open test now, instead of waiting till more of the announced test 2 features are implemented (e.g. after the Alpha 2 test)?
Specifically party and land management would seem to have been features that would have served very well for a public facing test.
Looking forward to the test and I wish you the best of luck on server stability and positive feedback! Make sure that people are aware that plenty of functionality is still missing and it is not really a 'playable game' yet, but rather a simple test instead.
Congratulations to all winners!
