      [-CO-] Crownless Order

EU based, accept all / 18+ (exceptions can be made) / PvP + PvE + Crafts / Beastmen (+ Human later on and maybe Demon) / All alignments πŸ˜‰ / Casual+Semi

      (TL;DR version at the end)

      About us

Crownless Order is a multigaming communtiy with an interest in various MMOs and other games to have fun in. But do not worry! It isnt all managed by one person, in fact, everyone can lead CO in a game if they get enough people from within or outside of the community for it, this allows us to support every game with relatively unique leadership not shared between more games, but fully dedicated to one single game. Additionally, despite being an evil "multi-gaming" group, we can provide a nice homely atmosphere as all our game channels are hidden behind discord roles, which means you can still get the feeling of a tight knit group as if it was a small discord. With the added benefit of being able to find people, you will already somewhat know, to play with in other games when you want to take a break (for example, we have an active 10-15ppl group, from various games, doing weekly multiplayer sessions in Europa Universalis 4).

Our gaming philosophy can be summed up "Community and fun first". This means we accept everyone and do not force anyone to do stuff they dont want to, doesnt matter if "casual" or "hardcore" or something in between, PvEr or PvPer or Crafter. We believe if people like the community, like the atmosphere and are having fun, they will naturally play more and participate in activities they wouldnt normally do.

Important thing is to have fun, thats why we are all here, isnt it? πŸ‘Œ

      About us in Fractured

The CO guild will be primarily playing as humans as it allows us to accommodate and support all possible playstyles our current and future members might have. As (or if) we grow to sufficient size, we will likely include both beastmen and demons within our group. Do not worry about allignments, you will have something fun to do whether you are a good guy or a bad boy. We are open to forming friendships with guilds from all planets (and continents) to provide our members with some friends on these unknown, foreign planets when adventuring outside of their home planets.

We will be playing on EU server, but if you happen to be NA, Asia or Ocenia, but are interested in playing with us, youre more than welcome to join as well. We already have a couple of NAs and atleast one Australian among us πŸ™‚

We welcome smaller groups and guilds merging into us. Terms will be up to negotiations to ideally benefit both sides (but we will be one united guild in the long-run). I am sure everyone knows the story with the sticks (The Father, His Sons, and The Bundle of Sticks) to some extend, you can easily break one, but you cant break a bundle. Moral of the story will apply to Fractured just as much.

      Our first city: Valhalla.

      Leadership, members and the community

Current leadership is devoted to the community treating it as their beloved child brought back to life (which it is as you can find out if you ask about the not so happy history under previous leaderships). Based on previous experience as members, we guarantee active leaders that are open to feedback, discussion etc. with an effort to keep moderation at minimum (keep in mind this requires cooperation from both sides) and a stream-lined hierarchy.

In return, we ask for people to have a community centered mindset and positive attitude, be dependable and initiative, not be afraid to speak up when they feel it is needed, be also willing to listen and learn.

Last but not least, We have πŸͺ cookies πŸͺ.

Click to join Crownless Order Discord

      TL;DR version

Who are we and what we plan:

      πŸ”Έ Multigaming community
πŸ”Ή Forging friendships and bonding over other games as a bonus
πŸ”Ή While we are "multi-gaming", the game sections are separated by roles so you still get the close-knit feeling as with the small groups. Our goal is to provide a place for people to enjoy gaming and make friends, not to create anonymous horde of unknowns
πŸ”Έ Both β€œgood” and β€œevil” players are welcomed, there will be some fun stuff for you to do
πŸ”Έ Goal is to create a community, a place for all players, both EU, NA and OCE are welcome (but keep in mind we are in EU)
πŸ”ΉWe plan to follow our core philosophy which is along the lines of β€žfun for all membersβ€œ which proved to be better compared to full hardcore/casual approaches, you will not be pressured too hard into doing stuff you dont want to do as long as you participate in the community
πŸ”Έ Most importantly, have fun, that is why we are all here, isnt it? πŸ‘Œ

What you can expect as a member:
πŸ”Έ Devoted leadership with experience from various MMOs and communities
πŸ”Έ Open discussion and participation for all members
      πŸ”Έ Stream-lined hierarchy
      πŸ”Έ Active communication

What is expected of all members:
      πŸ”Έ Community centered mindset
      πŸ”Έ Positive attitude
      πŸ”Έ Dependability and initiative
πŸ”Έ Willingness to learn and listen
πŸ”Έ Communication of issues and conflicts
      πŸ”Έ Mature behaviour

    • Refunds, negative reactions to Gamigo deal

Outside of couple (edit for @spoletta ->) very nice people that suspiciously joined at the peak of Gamigo deal rumours and immedietally started supporting Gamigo during every conversation ( <- edit end) week ago, the best reaction this deal got was roughly "I dont trust Gamigo, but I trust Prom" (this type of reaction used to be the worst when for example big changes to Syndesia PvP were happening..now its the "best" you got).

People dont trust Gamigo. Best they can do is offer refunds to the unhappy people and prove this isnt a quick cashgrab for them. If people see Gamigo is willing to take a small hit early on and is serious about the game, theyll buy back into it later on.

All of us bought into the vision of Fractured, because we liked it, only reason of the anger and distrust is Gamigo and its very real πŸ’© reputation. If Gamigo proves their good intentions are real, people will come back and buy back into it. Just like they bought into it months or years ago. We like Fractured. None of us are angry because Fractured changed direction, because it didnt. If Gamigo shows they mean well, none of the people have a reason to not come back. On the other hand, if Gamigo gets stubborn, they risk "evangelist alienation" (think of it as reversed word of mouth PR), where their biggest loyal supporters, the lifeblood of the game for last several years, will turn on them. MMOs live and die by their communities and public image. And the biggest supporters tend to have the passion and time to both support...or the opposite.

Gamigo exists for about 20years (2000 founded, says google). They had plenty of times to take their "second chance" people offered them...and failed them over and over. After 20years, you dont get second chances. After 20years, you must show youre worthy of another second chance.

Nothing says "We mean well/are the good guys" or alternatively disproves the "You just want a quick cashgrab" claim like offering to take a small initial hit with refunds. Fractured isnt a game with massive following (yet), the refunds are dozens or low hundreds of people at most, that doesnt even translate into 100k €.

    • RE: Gamigo Publishing Deal Q&A - List Your Questions!

Reposting from Discord QnA channel with 35 upvotes in the moment of reading this message.

Question 1: How will refund requests be handled?

Signing up a publisher is a big deal. Even bigger with one like Gamigo. It means theres very little worry in terms of funding compared to previous months and years. Confidence is on all time low, if you and the publisher have faith in the success, offering refunds would be a way to reassure that this isnt meant to be a quick revenue for Gamigo and people would be more likely to give it a chance (and reinvest/upgrade their packs later down the line).

Question 2: Is Micheles art coming back? The new one is just... generic asian mmo vibes Boring. Bad. Micheles art was great and unique.

Question 3: Will we be forced into some stupid separate-app Gamigo launcher once fully released? Instead of using Steam as originally planned.
Some games force people to download a separate app for their games, for example my.com does it with their Game Center. Other games have their launcher "inside" the Steam download, for example Total War games or games by Paradox Interactive, they have their own launcher but its "inside" and isnt a separate app (Not sure how to explain it)

Amazing job at working so much and so fast. β™₯

However, if this is your way of trying to stop the rapidly dropping non-criminal population...I am sorry, but you absolutely blew it. In a bad way. If this is the way you want to continue with Human world, youll have incredibly hard time at keeping the PvE/PvX players on the planet (and interested in the game) in the future, not just this test.

Basically nerfing the good side, while giving many benefits/lowering downsides to the criminal side (and option to abuse it hard with the karma reset) when you already have a massive issue of ganking and PKing making your your non-criminal playerbase leave, that, may i remind you, is needed on the planet as its not Tartaros (even if some ppl think and behave like it πŸ˜„ )

    • Change to Syndesia, the true mix of PvE and PvP?

Since I came here, Syndesia felt a bit off with how it was described. Its meant to be a place for PvP and PvE, but pretty much only thing stopping it from being pure PvP is a criminal system that criminal guilds will just ignore (kinda like real life, laws only matter if you follow them, ignore the syndesia criminal system hard enough and youre turning it into tartaros).

In my eyes, thats no mix between the two extremes, thats Tartaros-Lite (or Tartaros-medium πŸ˜„ ).

Arboreus is PvErs dream and all the pure PvErs will be there, not on Syndesia.
Tartaros is PvPers dream and all the pure PvPers will be there, not on Syndesia.
But what is Syndesia? Its not the middleground for PvXers. We can already see it in the Alpha. Its just green-er Tartaros with "go in the corner, son!" system.

So i propose this radical idea:

Slightly change the looting on Syndesia. Only Inventory+"Other" (like a cart) or Equipped items being lootable on Syndesia (only one of the two, not both).

You can choose what you want to loot on your kill. Did you catch him gathering resources naked or trader travelling to another city => Tasty inventory+cart loot. Came across someone with plate armor (or other higher tier items) => loot the equipped items.

Obviously this would break the idea of Demons (the only PvP race) raiding, so to keep that design or actually, better, promote that design and playstyle, Demons should be the only ones capable of+being the victim of full loot on Syndesia.

This way, Syndesia would be able to get its own identity and be a unique planet instead of almost an afterthought of "what should we do with the ones who like both playstyles?" and keep its Pv+PvP design.

Disclaimer just to be sure: This is an idea only for Syndesia, it wouldnt change your pure PvP paradise on Tartaros, if anything, it would promote the playstyle of demons.

      /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

EDIT: Extra idea from Fractured discord:

Lootability based on red names in your vicinity. One bad guy => more loot open (not full). Loads of bad guys => very little to no loot available from the body. Very effective at stopping zergs.

(I still stand by the partial loot for Syndesia as described above, but this sounded like a good idea to include in it as well)

EDIT2: My idea doesnt have to be the "one and only" you agree or disagree, add yours too. ill try to edit some in (the sensible ones that would promote the "real balance" between PvE and PvP, not "free for all" etc).

EDIT3: So its visible from GamerSeuss => "then get a display of what the character has and the looter can pick X items, be they equipment or inventory, with multiple looters being limited to just 1 Item each. This, plus all the gold on hand would be fair" Combining that with mine above would work great too. Actual compromise.

EDIT4: Another idea ive seen in discords, one was to combine "guild war declarations" into my partial loot system idea, where the declaration would allow full loot between enemies. Since Tartaros is the individual "survival of the fittest" PvP, it makes sense to gear Syndesia towards the Group vs Group gameplay, combining partial loot (for individual and criminal PvP) and full loot (for Group v Group PvP) would be a great way to handle it.

EDIT5, Trik idea: When an evil player knocks down a random player out in the wild they get gold or jewelry that player might have on them, you know like a normal robbery. Karma hit commensurate to the value of the 3 possible things looted. Rings / gold that can be grabbed by evil players. Knocked down player still has their gear and normal pack. You can probably reduce penalties since no one is actually dying. Could leave in full loot for GvG / Sieges / factions / bounty system sheriffs if you want.
Possibly let them take the weapon the player is actively holding. Making it pockets / jewelry / equipped weapon. You know things easily taken from a robbed person.

It is my great pleasure to announce the city of Valhalla Atrium for the upcoming Spring Alpha test.

A dream of peace and prosperity born of diplomacy, teamwork and cooperation between Crownless Order (international worldwide), New Order (international) and Phoenix (german).

To continue in the spirit surrounding its foundation, it is open to all, player and guilds alike, none shall be turned away. (But youll be whacked over the head if youre naughty)

    • *Kenobi voice* Hello There!

      Heyo,

I'll do bit of a proper introduction. Im LonelyCookie, one of the many MMO-deprived people. Originally, I completely ignored Fractured as I felt like its not my type of a game at all, but the lack of MMOs is painfully real so I decided to give a chance (that doesnt mean Im convinced, on the contrary, very sceptical πŸ˜„ ). I'll try to get more people from my community to atleast take a look at Fractured, hopefully wont be hard to attract atleast a couple of eyes out of over 600ppl.

Something about me from real life, Im in my early 20s, university student of air traffic/transport (Yes, I know, current situation really promises me a "great" future Q_Q ), eh, theres actually not much to say. As for my gaming life, earliest gaming memory I have is playing some adventure with Winnie the Pooh, Serious Sam and Stronghold (great combo of games, I know) when I was around 5-6years old, been MMOs for last 12ish years which got me into various guild managing, which leads to my best accomplishment I'm most proud of, and thats leading and building a community I love to play with that I mentioned before.

See you all ingame...one day (I hope).

It always amazes me the lengths PvE only players will go to play a game they don't enjoy. Despite having multiple PvE centered MMO's all with bigger budgets and dev teams than fractured you still insist on playing the indie full loot PvP mmo. No one is forcing you to do anything you made the decision to get involved yourself. And before you start asserting "High end resources being in PvP zones" being a problem please take a step back and consider that this Full loot PvP mmo is probably not for you and you might find WoW, ESO or even FFXIV all PvE MMO's with higher budgets will be more up your alley.

Did you miss the part of Fractured that has pretty much PvE-only planet? It always amazes me the lenghts fanatic PvPers are willing to go to make themselves feel superior, ruin it for everyone else and even twist and forget the already established game mechanics such as a PvE planet. Noone is forcing you to play with PvErs, so kindly go to Tartarus and PvP to your hearts content πŸ™‚ Three races, Three gameplays

whisper Did you know PvE Arboreus is designed as the biggest planet from the get-go and Tartarus as the smallest? Even devs know where most of the community falls on the PvP-PvE spectrum.

    • RE: First Impressions on the new City System

Time to do my part here as well and not only discord. Sooooo...

Lets start with the good stuff.

      1. I like the reduction of number of cities. It is bit drastic going from 120 to 30-something, but atleast the cities are not one-pump-chumps (I assume the territory has more than one resource in its borders now)

      2. Compression of the wilderness plots into residential areas around the cities. Will make the cities more alive without forcing solos to join guilds.

      Now onto the bad stuff.

      1. Enemies within our territories. Thats just a massive no-no. There has to be a blacklist system on guilds and individuals (accounts) where we can ban specific accounts and guilds from using the processing/crafting stations and living in the territory.

      2. Everyone being allowed everywhere. Previous system was extremely guild-centric, current one basically takes away any reason to have a city. Why stress yourself (and it is stressful to have a city, be it as a vice/governor or guild leader) when you just ignore all of it and basically function as a leech. Just...why bother πŸ˜„ So, here I propose a change to it to satisfy the guilds and keep the solos untouched while keeping the "new cities".

Allow us to set how open our territory is. Closed - Selective - Open. Combined with incentive system with bonuses for guilds that go Open such as buff to HP/dmg, significantly lower upkeeps, advantage during defense sieges (e.g less attackers allowed in battles), with such incentives, I belive most guilds would, at the very least, choose not be to closed.

Closed obviously...closed, basically "citizen-only" option. They would end up hurting themselves in the long run, no bonuses + lack of wide industrial/crafter base.
Selective...only some options closed and some open, such as solos allowed in residential area, but not allowed to use crafting stations.
Open obviously...opened. Anyone can settle in residential, anyone can use the stations etc.

I feel like this would work really well, blacklisting for enemies (thus not worrying about them) and incentives to stay as open to solos and randoms as our insecurities allow πŸ˜…

I am a person that tries to avoid unneccessary PvP and kill-on-sight as it just creates toxicity everywhere, but jesus, under the new (and IF unchanged) system, theres no way to live peacefully anymore. Kill on sight will be the go-to mindset, resulting in even more pain for the solos/randoms//tiny guilds than before. Pleeeease, consider changing it to accomodate both (maybe as I suggested above πŸ˜‰ ), because right now, it helps noone, but it will hurt everyone

EDIT: Alternatively, incentive system can be turned on its head, and put debuffs on the Closed. Debuff to HP/dmg, higher upkeeps, disadvantage at defense sieges. Buuuut...I feel like using sugar and not a whip always works better (unless youre into it...kinky)

I'm not referring to the economic scenario, which after your explanation has a basis.

I was referring to this: (deleted for the sake of shorter quote)
This looks like a very optimistic outcome.

Well...what can I say, any outcome is better than the darkest timeline we have now with variations on "Gamigo claims another victim", with that public image, you might as well write off Fractured as dead on arrival if they dont change their image. Few refunds are definitely cheaper than a failed publishing deal 🀷 Have you seen comments under KiraTV and Fractureds own video? Even the absolutely inactive Steam page has about 20comments (none of which seemed exactly positive). Forums and discord server are always "bastions of the blind believers", no matter what game, even for scams (CoE, Earth2 etc.), yet looking at the QnA channel/thread we are seeing mostly an exact opposite.

Problem I could imagine with the 6month wait period is that it could cause legal issues, like discrimination of group of people maybe (new customers having to pay while others are getting money back and can play) but to be fair, its extremely unlikely anyone would care to push it to make it a problem. Another issue (this depends on where you live, not sure if its EU laws but ill guess it is) but companies(and government) where I live are legally required to resolve requests/issues/repairs/warranties within 30days or prove they are actively trying to resolve it (for example my bank had to call me every 3-4weeks, for over half a year. to tell me they have no new info on my refund for CoE and are working on it). Not sure if sitting on refund requests for 6months would be legally ok πŸ˜…

I understand where you are coming from, but you are being quite careless on 2 points:

      1. Both you and cookie have no kind of metric or method to claim those "100-200k". Yours is just a very wild and baseless guess.

Its not really that baseless. Activity in between tests is dozens of players at best, if we include word of mouth between the unhappy, you would get hundreds, most likely low hundreds.

All of them would need to have Eternal pack for 300€ to break 100k barrier, based on what I know about purchases in my own guild (sample of about 100people), most common purchase is the 45€/50€ one followed by the cheapest and 90€ packs. Champion mostly ignored and Eternal owned by only few individuals. Based on that, we are probably not even talking about 100k but less.

All Gamigo and DS need to do with the "PR stunt" as @Logain called it, is time it right (not during or around announced test phase) and make it a time limited offer (which is completely reasonable thing to do), minimum costs and maximum positive effect as every content creator and news site will be blasting variations of "Did Gamigo change into good guys?!" with their current and future playerbase being much more trusting.

PS: It is peanuts, Gamigo yearly revenue was around 60 million with 30% YoY growth in 2019 πŸ˜„

As for Gamigo paying the refunds, that's insane. A publisher isn't going n g to fund refunds from prior to their contract signing, especially outside of the refund window established.

Make a reasonable ask. This isn't one.

As @Selfish said above, thanks to EU law (applies to non-EU companies too since its entirely dependent on customer residency/citizenship), preorder can be cancelled anytime before full product delivery and without question, in case of videogames, full release (and/or in moment of delivery of last pack benefit). In fact, its applicable even on "third party merchants" like Xsolla if people were to go through their banks.

Anyway, the post was about Gamigo showing goodwill and offering the refunds, not if "refunds can or cannot be done" thats not the topic πŸ˜„ , because just their reputation is enough to kill the playerbase and noone is going to buy into their empty promises they broke many times before. If they are serious about not using Fractured as a quick cashgrab, "show, dont tell"...barely anyone is buying into their lies these days.

Edit: KS tends to be unrefundable as those count as donations.
Edit2: Based on my previous experience with refunds, preorders are fully refundable even if the dev studio closes down. πŸ‘ Tho, it does require your bank to step in as they are the needed "convincing" heavy weight
Edit3: I am asking for Gamigo/DS to offer refunds for people that want nothing to do with Gamigo. If people go through their banks or Xsolla, thats unnecessary drain on DS resources as that cant be brushed of with a simple "no".
