Will there be a limit to how much you can build or will it be so that there is a limited area?

im wondering on how the farming or herding system will work, it would be nice to know.
i mean will there be a system of draining of the soil, if you grow to much will the soil degrade. ieg the need for crop rotation
and will there be seasons of sorts?
