This has been covered several times in the past. Prometheus has stated that there will eventually be a way to respect in a very limited and costly portion. As of the current, the method for respecting is literally by creating the new character as there is not all the much content still and its pretty easy to regain what you've lost in a short period of time.

Right now poisoning does not work on some of the new metal weapons such the battle axe. the halberd, and the great ax, despite all of them being bladed weapons. Poison does work on weapons such as longsword and the spear.

If you are a merchant and on the other side of the world ores 50 gold coins cheaper, 300 gold is nothing. Usually traders only travel the cities on horseback and build a cart if necessary and then buy the goods. And you have to keep in mind that port cities have to generate so much revenue that they can compensate for an ore mine because they have no other resources.

Despite being announced that the smelting bronze alloy bug was fixed. It was actually made worse. I cannot smelt bronze or blood iron now, only steel. There is no error message when I click the smelt button, it does not seem to respond.

There is a major collision problem at the moment in the game. They need better "obscuring" going on that allows us to 1) See through objects like trees, stone bridges (thinking of Heartwood) and 2) Interact with object behind those screens. Currently, you can not pick up rocks that are behind objects or interact with carts, chests, etc that are behind walls and other objects even though you can see them. (ie. Put a chest in the bottom corner of your house and you have to literally walk away from it in order to be able to interact with it (if you are able to at all) ).
