    • RE: Cash Shop Items You'd [Consider] Buy

@unsung I wouldn't mind color changes for skills and such. I Think the only thing you would have to make sure is that it does have at least an element from the original spell so that it can be easily distinguished from other spells. At least from a pvp balance side. I don't think it matters at all for the pve aspect.

I like someones suggestion on character voices and different ways to fabricate your home or even get armor for a horse or some mount that already exists. I think if you just modify the way a mount looks but not introduce new mounts people would buy the armors for the mounts they want to use. It should be a one mount at a time ordeal. That way you can effect the look of the game without introducing items that should be solely found by playing. I wouldn't mind things like this even if they were flashy or out of the box.

    • RE: Hi from Albion online

@kostan I'm in the super OG club. Too bad I gave up on albion due to the grind. And I liked a lot of the other stuff in the game including the skills and gearing but it was just too much to do.

@ember2528 I would absolutely pay for this. There just needs in my opinion to be another way to capitalize on a cash shop. I am occupied but I would love to keep visiting this idea.

I would gladly pay 10$ a month for a game that is interesting. games like wow got the 15$ sub to work for them because the game was fun and the longevity of the game was undeniable. If they game is actually good it will continue to hold value and people will play it.

@finland I understand they need to make money. I would definitely choose the sub fee over cash shop any day.

    • RE: An MMO Free of Levels and Classes?

@finland I just mean, usually as time progresses everyone tends to gravitate to the FOTM build and or what everyone picks as the best build. There needs to be a way to combat this.

@jetah Now this I can get behind. I just misunderstood you in the beginning. I would love to see changing technology eras or have it so that every era exists but there are just hard to obtain or more worthwhile things to obtain consistently through the game

@finland I never meant this is a p2w or exclusivity. I just mean, if you develop 10 things for the cash shop, you could use those models / cosmetics as models and/or designs for things you would find freely in the game. I know it's not the end of the world, but my favorite memories are seeing someone in some cool armor and going "ahhh I want to aspire to have that too" but now it's just oh.... 10$ for that and the game is over. I should want to PLAY to obtain things, and when I see things I should then be queued to want to go out and look for them or band together and go get them, not just fork over cash and all done.

@finland Then make it all a horizontal system. Continue to build on an extremely complex but balanced system now so that there are 400 builds of equal power when the game releases. Of course there should still be room for improvement, but player improvement can be preemptively gauged as one of these improvements.

    • RE: Pitch ideas

@oroechimaru I think with their idea of having a very flowable and changing world they could definitely make a great game where we could have an ever changing world that you may come back to not see the same thing you saw the day before.

The ground shifts, the rivers flow and the constant travel over the land should shape it over time. I think a game that you may not know what there is, even though you have been there 1000 times would definitely keep the juices flowing in a game.

Coming back to the same NPC to see them say "Hello, How are you?" every day for 1000 days is just pointless and eventually the glamour fades away.

    • RE: Class system

@finland With some procedural generation and thought and pulling from other games they should release many more spells and not tell us how many there are. That means there could be an infinite amount (theoretically) and people would push themselves to see if there is anything left.

"oh I have 400 skills, guess i've learned everything"
      vs
"I have 404 skills, I don't know how many more there could be, I will continue to progress to see if any special one-of-a-kind abilities exist."

    • RE: Cash Shop Items You'd [Consider] Buy

@kellewic I just want a world that feels organic and not all modified by outside sources. I don't really know what they could come up with in terms of cash shop items, but in that case I would rather pay the fee. It just detracts from the world when you can buy the things that you may have obtained from playing the game.

Anything that could be released in the cash shop should be something to be obtained by playing and dedicating time to development of your character and development of yourself as a gamer. I just absolutely despise this method. Every item that could be in a cash shop could be loot in one way or another for expansion and depth of your game in the long run.

I've seen this many times where I feel like going out and getting that new something is just dumb cause I could just drop a 20$ and that's it. I don't understand that mentality because a game is to be played. I'm just on the very far extreme of not dropping cash for anything other than game purchases or sub fees.

    • RE: Feature Spotlight #6 - PvP, Alignment & Crime

@finland This reaches back to black desert online. I used to play that and when I wanted to PVP i was punished with hours and hours of grinding to get back reputation to enter cities. I thought this was the dumbest idea in the world and I quickly quit as soon as I found that I was mindlessly playing for an activity that I only did now and again. Please shy away from this as it just makes the game tedious and detracts from the scope of what a player might want to do.

Everything but cosmetics are fine. Cosmetics are what make a character look seasoned and played. If you just buy looks, there is no reason to play the game anymore. What could you possibly get that would look cooler than some crazy 20$ cash shop item. Why even bother. Also the big draw back here is they will restrict items or make the coolest items bought and not add content to the game where it needs to be.

    • RE: What unusual weapon types would you like to see?

Regardless of what kinds of weapons are in the game. I would like to see wild variations on the general weapon types. There could be multiple different kinds of art assets for each different type of weapon. That way you could find very unique items.

    • RE: Hand Holding

@jetah Though why can't there be both solo, solo super hard and group and large group dungeons and activities?

Except I may just have been reading this all wrong. I see you would definitely need to play and be very familiar with the game and be very skilled by playing a long time to challenge something, that would be okay with me.

    • RE: PK punishment

For PVP, I think there should not be punishments.

I am all for there being a reputation system and some way to know how people may behave, but in reality this should force people to find help or man up and get to work.

@jetah I definitely like this idea. I like that people of all depths in the game could go in and contribute. Can make pve challenging for sure and for everyone that wants to participate.

Though the only downside is that then there is no need to play before going into challenging content.
