    • RE: Kickstarter Update - Pledge Packs

Another question is do you get more than one copy of the game with any higher tiers? I know it isn't said in any tiers but the low one, but just curious.

Saying that, it would be nice to get additional ones to give to friends if I were spend a bunch I would like to have some friends and they would be more willing if it were free to start for them.

@finland while I would thoroughly enjoy this, I think a middle ground would even be sufficient as someone from the US. I know others from different places have different financial outlooks though.

I very much like the lifetime VIP status, as this is definitely a great value if continuing to play. so I may or may not go with like 100$ or the 350$. Noticing that this is in euros though, paying 450 USD is quite a bit more than I think I would be willing to spend.

      @gofrit

@gofrit said in Kickstarter Update - Pledge Packs:

It's probably account wize (never see a game with VIP on a character, too many dev problem to check)

This is how Albion online did it, where you would have to buy VIP for each character. In this case it should just be a VIP subscription fee versus some VIP status.

I don't much like the VIP per character because it makes me not want to pay additional fees when you can only play one character at a time at the VIP status without it.

A big issue with having the single character bound items and bonuses is having to get more to play different characters. I started playing black desert and made one character but quickly got bored. Because I am not really one to buy things that don't seem to hold value over multiple characters it was just not worth it for me. Then seeing that everything was much slower and a tad bit harder I just decided to quit playing all together.

I hope so. A true MMO arpg. What I thought diablo might have been until I played alone the whole time.

    • RE: AFK activity in game ? (ex: fishing)

I think a big thing with afk mechanics is that it disconnects you from the world and the game. When you know you can just let the game play itself it takes value from actually playing. You can play all you want but in the end the guy afking every day will do better.

You also feel less value because you get things that you didn't earn yourself, you could leave and come back 10 levels higher. It detracts from the effort reaps rewards.

    • RE: Interactive pets

Since there can't be p2w, or rather shouldn't be, I don't think having pets, at least ones that are purchased give bonuses is not a good idea. I think they should strictly limit to helping you on gaining knowledge in some way or another or stick to pve bonuses.

If they are obtainable through playing, then little bonuses would be pretty neat and that adds another layer of playability. Though even so I like the small things like alerting the player or showing the map more so than slowing, stunning, etc.

@jetah i very much like this idea. It would be cool to have a bazaar of some kind that you could either set up as a guild / group or have an NPC in territories that would list your items. I think having something would be nice. I don't know if / if not having a world auction would be the best bet. I think it would be better by city or planet.

I spent a long time in forums until I read a few of the news articles that they had posted. There is a lot of information they drop in there.

    • RE: parkour system/паркур

Would be cool for them to think about it. It may be easier to add some kind of system, maybe not crazy like what we think as parkour but more of a movement possibility and cool things.

    • RE: The psychology of gaming

@demlone Yeah you see this a lot in EVE. even though the game is starting to fade away a little bit. There is still always talk within communities of gamers and even outside the game that talk about the great wars and the crazy stuff that is happened in the game.

@gothix Thank you. This exactly why I wouldn't want a character progressing. I always felt the desire to keep the game going, but no thank you.

I like it that it promoted people to be active with the game. I just continuously want to know what's gonna happen. I'm stoked for this game.

@tulukaruk I was under the impression that this is probably how it will actually work. I see pros and cons to both sides of the coin. I don't really mind how they implement it and will find it fun.

    • RE: Why did You Choose To Look And Support This Game

Both looking for a sandbox game and looking for a fun MMO. I've always wanted to invest in an MMO but I'm the past half decade I haven't found anything worthwhile.

    • RE: Becomming an Angel or Abommination

@tulukaruk I see where you are going with this. It makes an end where you can keep it open ended and allow the player to continue to modify their play-style. I guess if you go one way or the other you can always stay there to keep the form

    • RE: The psychology of gaming

@logain Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I didn't notice that talk in the Q&A and I think with how the game may feel this is appropriate to do asymmetric balancing too.
