RE: Twitch Q&A Video recording is where...?
So..... the run down of the things we discussed:
Arboreus is 100% PvE (Jacobo says PvP does not exist on Arboreus)
They are going to try to get Arboreus in the game by the last alpha test or the start of the Beta.
Governors can turn city PvP on/off
Players have to apply for a Crafting Role to use the city assets which have to be accepted by the governor.
Governors can set taxes on the city asset uses.
Resource Mines will be City controlled. However, there will be many single repositories added around the territory that have no permission control.
City assets use the City Tech Tree, non-city housing can only do up to "good" quality.
Cities can join together to make Nations. The more cities allied together, the higher the tech tree can go.
City picking on the Map will now be "Select the city you want to govern, the first governors with 20 people signed up will get that city"Leap Slam is a thing, and will be implemented. This ability gives any person not-wielding a staff the ability to jump a certain distance regardless of the armor they are wearing.

RE: Can Good Characters Party With Evils?
The answer to this is, No. A good player is not capable of grouping with an Evil aligned player. And I think Specter claimed that if a neutral player changes to evil while in a party with Good players, then they will be automatically kicked out of the group.

arties clearly allow for good AoE to target party members and stop bad AoE to be infl
Currently, Guilds are not alignment-aligned and therefore a guild is able to have all three types of alignments within their guild structure. Also, currently, all three alignments are capable of occupying the same city.

RE: october when?
Specter said it will be the second half of October for the alpha test to start.

@GreatValdus said in Can an Evil Neutral Party Work Well?:
g for a direction or another, just wondering what the final state will be,
The devs have never commented on it, though they do know about it. As far as we can tell, it is as intended.

RE: Coinage and Monster Gold Loot
Supposedly there will be some heavy gold sinks in the game. The cities are suppose to cost exponential more (the bigger they get) to maintain and portals are suppose to just be ludicrous in how much they will cost to make. So, we will just have to see how they balance it all out in Beta.

RE: Guild Friendly Fire
Friendly fire affects EVERYONE in the vicinity with PvP status turned on. Anyone attacked, automatically has their PvP status turned on. A good player is not able to harm another good player so they are unable to alter another good player's pvp status; however, an Evil player harms everyone. So if an Evil player does an AoE it will turn everyone's PvP status on. If a good player harms an evil player, their PvP status will turn on. So as long as the other "good" players are not attacking the Evil Player and the Evil player is not attacking them, the good players will be safe from the AoEs, however, once those non-participant Good player starts to attack the evil player or the evil player attacks them.. they will become targets of friendly fire.

RE: Lich Motto?
Oh woest me, how slow these yonder days till the ides of October do go.
To think at first how grand immortality seemed, only to find the grand scheme of things.
Boredom and strife, existence full of dull-life waiting upon the next chance to play.
Why, oh why, did I pick this lifeline? A grand mistake it was, now set am I into an eternally monotonous stale wearisome duration.
If only I could cry, but to that I am also denied. -
RE: Is joining a militia basically βopt inβ to pvp in the latest alpha?
You are only able to "join" or "leave" a militia from within a city. Once you have "joined" or "left" a militia you may not do so again unless you are within a city. If you are part of a militia, you are able to PvP people who are in the other 3 militias.
They will have this form of PvP until they open up the other planets and are able to make the regular PvP types as planned.

kill someone? I'm hoping that we can turn on the pvp mode to have rp events
From what I've read it does lower you karma but only by a very fractional amount. The main karma loss comes from actually "killing" the player, which has to be specifically executed.

RE: october when?
There is PvP but not the PvP that will be in place during release. Currently its Factional PvP with no looting. You sign up to be one of four factions at any city and then you can go fight people in the other 3 factions.
You are able to build a house, build any blueprint that your governor has placed down, or build any blueprint that you place down.
You will be able to craft multiple items and enchant them.
You will be able to see the entirety of one whole map on Syndesia called Myr, which may or may not have any Trolls on it. (Though it does have spiders, undead, goblins, wolves, bears, deer, rabbits, foxes, treants, wisps, sproutlings, elementals, horses, etc) with lots of trees, rocks, grass and plant life which most is able to be interacted with.
You will be able to "Tame" horses for mounting *with your butt on their back, not on the wall and not...err...well... any other way ;wink )
Basically everything that has been pre-released and is in the news articles for this testing phase.
Usually you will run through the entire content of the game within a matter of day(s). The rest is just hanging out, testing specifics to try to "break" the system, helping late comers, and playing with friends.
If you are unsure, its best to just wait for the test to start and then either try to win one of the trillion tickets that will be given out for free or wait for them to open it up to the general public at the end of the testing cycle.

@GreatValdus said in Can Good Characters Party With Evils?:
unintentional
Good players can only harm other good players if those other good players have their PvP status on. So if you are just out PvE'n, then you do not have to worry about friendly fire unless an Evil player AoEs the group.

RE: Coinage and Monster Gold Loot
The auction house will probably be similar to the docks system that was shown in the video. There will be a set tax that the game will take, and then their will be a city tax that the city will take. So, each item in essence will be double taxed. If they removed the game tax completely, then they would in essence be removing a major cash sink from the game which in turn will inflate everything. So I am quite sure they will keep the game tax in the equation.
