      There was no endgame in SWG and yet to this day people cry over that game ending. The game was about the group, city, pvp; ie everyday fun. The only finality most the players in our guild found themselves doing was finishing the achievements or unlocking their jedi status. Here we have the knowledge tree and becoming an angel/demon.

      and Lich... don't forget the Liches less they lynch you ! 🙂

      I think that means co-owners won't be able to have a personal plot...

      Co-Owning a house does not allow that player citizenship rights. You can co-own as many plots of land as you like and still have your own personal plot. In the last test I co-shared a home with 3 other people... so I think the co-ownership is actually 4 not 1... though what they have at the end for release is up for grabs.

      As for permissions on city assets... they are still working that out. Currently there are many assets that can not be shared at all within a city. Some things, such as Forges and Tanning Tubs will probably have a completely different set of permissions set on them as they are very time consuming to use.

      "That's a bit worrying, there should be at least a tax for town bank for resources usage..."

      Yes... its a big problem as it currently stands; however, I am quite sure that the devs have a plan in mind on how to handle this but just have not had the time to implement it. It may be during beta before they actually implement it, and then we will have to make it works properly. 🙂

      ere any risk that one of the guilds take the power over the others

      1. As housing plots are limited to 1 per account per planet, I highly doubt you will have a large number of guild leaders sharing your city. However, it is possible to do this, yes. The governor selects who can be a vice governor (and as far as I know, that is unlimited). Both governor and vice governors choose who can be citizens of the city. However, adding "co-ownership" or "friend" to a housing plot does not make that added player a "citizen" of the city. So, even though they would be able to access the tools and furniture within that housing plot, they would not be able to access any tools and/or resources that belongs to the city.

      2. Yes. A governor can be voted out of their position after a citizen wide vote that is available once a month (I think it is every 30 days anyway). Also, as GamerZeuss stated, you can also lose it to sieges/coups.

      3. No. Trading with other cities is mandatory.

      4. Not at the present, no.

      5. As @GamerZeuss stated.. NPC guards has not been mentioned. We do know that there will be npc's that will cater to upkeep, however.

      6. No big guild would ever join that city, only newbs and smaller guilds. The reason for this is due to the upcoming implementation of relics and upper tier items that large guilds will want to keep solely for themselves.

      With that being said... there are already plans for "neutral" or "barter" towns that governors will be creating that will accept citizens from any guild and will do their best at keeping the city tools open for use. How well they achieve this, is up for grabs.

      @Jignutz

      Yes, I do. It is the way the game is currently implemented. Create a new account, go to "Create Guild" and you will see that the race is set to your hero profile's selected race. Within the last alpha test, we were able to have guild members of all alignments, therefore guilds are not alignment restricted.

      As I told Eurav in private, it is less likely that they would make "coding" changes and more likely to make changes to statements that they made before the game had ever been developed. Also, it is just more feasible to have it restricted by race instead of alignments, because other wise a guild would have to be created for "Neutral" alignment even tough there will probably be very few neutral aligned players. Also.. alignments change much more than races do.

      @PeachMcD

      Aye, there are no "designated" Guild Cities in the game anymore, however, cities will still be mostly owned and ran by a guild even if the city allows for another guild to "share" the city, since there can be only 1 governor. The player permission rights are set to "Public, Guild, Friend, Party, Personal".... which means guild wise... it will be defaulted to that specific player's guild and then rights given as "friends" for the allied guild members.

      Also, @Prometheus has already stated that non-locals will not be able to "siege" a city. They will only be able to do raids. Which again means that in-game guilds will be stationed on their home planet and not able setup bases on a different planet.

      As @GamerSeuss stated.... guilds are Race restricted (which also means alignment restricted in a sense because races are also pretty much alignment dependent) and therefore are planet specific. Now.. that does not mean that a guild can not cross over to another planet using gates and events, however, it does mean that in-game guilds will only mainly operate on their race's home planet as that is the only place they will be able to control a city.

      @Eurav ... When creating a guild, the guild race allowed is dependent upon rather the leader is a demon, human or beastman, in-game you are allowed to have humans of different alignments within your guild. Therefore, guilds are Race specific and not alignment specific.

      Yes, in-game guilds are planet specific....but as we all know... guilds are no longer "only" in-game. There are several guilds that are already planning to be cross-planetary.

      There is actually quit a bit of difference between a player with primitive gear and a player decked out in top gear with a full talent tree. And even naked a veteran player will destroy a newbie wearing starter gear.

      I prefer it as it is now... all your chats are within the "chat" window. Message bubbles I think would just look tacky in this style of game.

      In short... Dynamite Studios lied. In reality there is no way to have a beginner on the same scale as a veteran in any game that has "depth" to it. Their thinking was that a horizontal leveling system would be quicker to achieve competitiveness instead of a vertical system.... as we know... after you get down to it.. there isn't all that much difference between horizontal vs vertical. Its still a distance traveled, just in a different direction is all.
