It depends on what you are aiming for really.. even though I use STR 10, PER 6 for a couple of my melee dps builds most of them will have the STR and PER switched. If you are wanting a "crit" stealth build though, then you would probably go more PER.

      Most of use who have been testing for a while know these hangups, but a new tester definitely wouldn't.

      No, Xzait is correct... archery skills are broken at the moment.. I hadn't noticed cause they had worked for me with a shortbow a while back, but as he claims.. they were broken in one of the patches.

      The only thing raising INT with items and enchantments does is increase the amount of Damage and Duration that abilities have, as well as increase mana regen. Anything that can only be set during a firepit break can only be adjusted at a firepit break, so if something is able to be adjusted at any other time then it will never effect what is able to be done only at a firepit.

      With that being said, your MAIN two attribute stats on character creation are INT and CON and therefore all builds will need to have high INT and CONs at character creation.

      This has been covered several times in the past. Prometheus has stated that there will eventually be a way to respect in a very limited and costly portion. As of the current, the method for respecting is literally by creating the new character as there is not all the much content still and its pretty easy to regain what you've lost in a short period of time.

      Quite sure that is as intended, as the webs are actually "holding" those items in place and thereby keeping you from picking them up or interacting with them.

      for starters this is not a PURE PvP game, and at the same time this is NOT a PURE PvE game. So both parties have to be catered to.

      With that said, as I've stated before, the devs won't remove the "lose you loot when your body decomposes" as that is in the game design and the devs have been very frank in stating that they will not change their base game design. We have the option to allow our corpses to be looted by "party", "guild" or "public". So in the event we do not think we are able to make it back, someone else can get to it. Yes a pure soloist with literally no friends or community on here will be out of luck, but this game is not made for a pure soloist, so a player will have a party or guild member to rely on to get their corpses most the time.

      The only thing I have seen the devs teeter on is the looting of a corpse when the player was pk'd, and that we may see being different depending on what planet you are on or the same across the board.

      Do not think "classical" with this game. It will screw you up pretty bad if you do. The reason you want high INT is cause base INT is the only way to get your memory point slots and handles your regen rate of mana which is used both for your mage skills as well as some of your best dps skills. You really don't have a huge difference with a low PER versus a high PER normally, but some stealth skills do use PER for their damage and those builds should have a high PER, you do not need high PER for the ones with "duration by PER" as their duration are ridiculously low regardless of your PER. Also, PER affects your criticals so you will not want a 6 for stealth builds however a 10 would work ok as you can raise it using enchants and equipment to raise both the crit chance and crit damage on normal gear.

      You can not apply to starter towns, only to player towns. Starter town enchanting tables and tanning tubs are not usable.

      They should be fixing those collision problems. Having trees, corpses, and etc. interfere with your actions should not happen in the released version.

      I can attest to that. I have killed many a trolls by myself and the only time I have died was when I accidently left my character online for hours without realizing it, only to come back to see me in my skinnies. Oh.. what a glorious occasion! The sun was very bright that day. 😛

      Also, I've solo'd both as a mage and as a tank pretty easily once my mage had the proper abilities that is. Tanks are easy to solo with.

      Sadly the devs are very very against anything NOT mouse-click movement related, so I highly doubt you will see anything else until after the release when they find that they don't have the player base to support the game due to this restriction of "not allowing a playstyle in a game that is geared toward allowing multiple playstyles".

      With that said, we were suppose to be able to bind our actions to different keys this test phase, but they just never implemented it. So maybe being able to bind your action keys to more placement friendly keys (for you) will help you with this problem.

      I would never put CON 6. Even for a Mage, CON in this game should never be a 6.

      To be honest, I use STR 18, DEC 10, INT 18, CON 18, PER 6, CHA 6 for both my Melee and Mage builds as neither PER or CHA are needed for tank or mage.

      for a stealth build I will do STR 10, DEX 18, INT 18, CON18, PER 6, CHA 6 or I will switch PER/CHA and STR when wanting archery or crits.

      The first build actually has the most versatility since I can get all my main stats to over 20 pretty easily or a single main stat to 25+.

      The weapon stays until you switch it with tab. We've been putting up screenshots of this bug since day two or three of the test. They just haven't gotten around to fixing it yet.
