      Aye, I also am mostly pleased with the development of this test. It by far has been the best one they have made. And likewise, I think they seriously need to work on the QoL of things before adding too much more to the game. They are small things (better collision algorithms that have haunted us since day one ... YES.. talking about you TREES, corpses, and WALLS), working permissions (They fixed this last test and like a lot of the bugs this test, they were ALL fixed last test but here they are again!), movement (major killer here, its a very unhealthy movement system currently, even without the darn interrupting trees, its real life physically unhealthy), keybinding (those A and S keys!!! ARG the WORST!!! right in there with all our combat skills keys and total fight breakers).

      Also, they introduced a bug with skills this test where some skills just quite literally would never go off. A major bug that needs fixing, I believe.

      With that said, thank you devs for adding mini map Party markers!!!! (finally!!!), and the game play has been over all better than the last few tests.

      I believe, if the devs can add the QoL MUST HAVES to the game, we will be swarming in lots of new players cause the game will be the best that is out there today 🙂 and all the rest is mostly just balancing which will be covered over the life span of the tests. But the devs need to stop using their "hot keys" so much and learn what the "players" actually have to go through so they will see exactly what we are complaining about and why they need to fix them.

      I think the problem here is "expectations" of what the game actually is. The problem is that the devs did indeed say "solo" play available, however they are clearly not going that route to the "extent" that some of the "solo" players are envisioning. From the way the game is being designed, I just can not see the devs ever allowing a "pure" solo experience (nor do I care to see that in any MMO), however, if you are part of a community then you will be able to go "solo" at times because the community will have given you what you need in order to do so.

      This game is quite clearly CITY dependant, which means it will definitely be "community" dependant. Even if they did sprinkle non-city controlled nodes around, true solo players will still not be able to do much because the citizens of near-by cities will farm those spots and if its contested which it most definitely will be then a solo player has no chance in winning against the vast mobs that will be storming there.

      I keep hearing the same complaints about allowing "PURE" soloism and the devs have definitely answered with "not gonna happen". However, for those who wish to play SOLO but don't mind being PART of a community, those players will thrive as they will have the ability to obtain everything they wish for and they should be allowed to. The devs have made this possible, they have made it so that a citizen of a city does not have to live within that city, there are mobs that are easily killed by a solo player, and a player can make the things that they need to survive off of the environment. But a player can not thrive in any measure of the word unless they are willing to be a part of a community.

      That is a great work around for those able to do so. In fact I will be getting a new mouse soon just to be able to such. However, the biggest problem is that the devs really need to implement an in-game feature to handle this. I think it is bad design on the devs' part in taking so long to put in QoL musts as those of us who are the most passionate about the game are also the ones being physically effected the most about the game not having the ergonomics needed in the game. Eventually the toll will come and we will have to start dropping, not because we want to, but because we simply can no longer do the same physical drag over and over. If the devs did not always use their "short-cut" keys, they would very quickly realize what the community as a whole has been complaining about. I mean... it took them 4 tests to even implement party mini-map markers??? I am very glad they did, cause I literally would have skipped this test and every other test until they had finally implemented that.

      Nope. I think you hit it head on. I saw that early on when they put out the nodes on the map which is why we took only southern cities. In fact, with almost every test up to date, it has been better to live mostly in the middle or the south and not the north as all major content (with the exception of the goblin hills) has been in the middle-southern reaches.

      I must say... I was actually impressed that @insomnia actually came back to READ the replies to his post.... I mean, if he truly felt the way he posted wouldn't he have not just left entirely? No reason to come back. Coming back tells us that his true intention was just to try to piss people off.

      I had already ignored this thread, but heck.. after seeing so many people reply back to it... lol.. I just had to come check it out. Glad I did 🙂

      It also says wonders when the developers or moderators have not deleted this thread as well. It means that they are open minded and are not phased by this dribble.

      The problem about that is that there really is no set worth for reagents, however we will be coming out with a public barter system soon that should help different cities showcase what they have to sell.

      And yeah... the hardest problem (even for the devs) is getting information out there to all the new people playing since most of them don't seem to want to do a search for what they are wanting before posting about it and therefore they play for a long time without even knowing the tools that they have on hand or even how to do in-game stuff. We will see what we can do to help out with that.

      Also for just a heads up... there is a City Planner at http://theshadowempire.net/public_CityPlanner.php that is still in WIP mode and a public Map will be available shortly....including the Barter System for the towns....we also have a Book of Knowledge, though that is still up in arms if we need to make it public since there is the Wiki.

      That CTRL+Click as it explains is to set the ICON IMAGE used to distinquish that ability preset from other ability presets. 🙂

      Totally agree with both you and @Kralith 😄 The packaging center could be done better, and I also think that the window should stay open like our Inventory and Chests do when we access them, why should we have to constantly go back to opening it after we already have?

      He's a wolf of a very long lineage of wolves. They breed beneath your wooden floors and when old enough come out to allow you to have the permission to pet them and treat them with lamb meat! Your problem is probably that you are not giving them their due lamb meat and they are getting angry at you for that, am I right?

      To properly use a tanning bed.. you must first put on your tanning sunglasses... and then make sure you lay flat inside before closing the lid. Try not to make too many large or jerky movements as you are liable to get burned if you do. 😄

      To properly use a tanning tub, you must place a large sheet of processed animal hide into the tub and let it process there for 16 hours. However; it has been rumored that starter towns have broken tubs due to extraneous usage and are not liable to be maintained or fix as citizens of starter towns seem to be more about adventuring than upkeeping the town.
