      Please do not confuse Alpha with Early Release, most companies do not leave alphas running 24/7... not even Amazon does that, and especially not indie companies, like Dynamight Studios, which do not have the funds to be able to do so.

      With that said, this company provides Alphas every quarter which last for an entire month (that's 2 months down time), and each release has substantially grown since the last one. Sometimes, they even open them up for a weekend which they did twice during the end of last year and that start of this one.

      No there is no source, this was all my conjecture as I stated "I think having harbors" and "Now, upon release, then I would agree with you". With that said, however, I think it is very probable that this will be the case as Jacobo said in the live stream that the reason they did it was to "eliminate" the problem of those cities being ghost towns and making all those harbours useless. They made that switch without any pre-warning, and I am sure they will do the same upon release in putting the system back to how they originally had it. It just makes sense.

      I think having harbors pre-made for the alphas is totally fine. In fact, I would like to have a lot of things already pre-made for alphas as they are only for a short amount of time and having to re-do the same things over and over that are time laborious kinda keeps us from actually testing the new features of the alpha.

      Now, upon release, then I would agree with you and harbours should be put back into the city infrastructure, as during that time we won't have "ghost" towns like we do in the alphas. If we do, then it basically means the game died and the developers have a lot bigger problem on their hands than harbours not being used.

      hrmmm.. I suppose you could play in a zigzag if you like? or maybe run around and kite in circles?

      If you mean will you be able to play 24/7 and never lose your progress? then the answer is no. The alpha tests only last for 1 month at a time, and data is whiped after each one. Data will be whipe after beta as well, only after release will progress be kept.

      @dallonz88 said in Few more questions...:

      1. If any city's plot owner adds all his mates to it as guests, does it means he can build private crafting stations, using it as a workaround to new taxed public stations?

      Personal plots can have "most" of the work stations, but they can not have forges and upper tool stations (ie, mage staff workbench), mostly personal plots have the ability to "make" or "mold" their resources into something that is usable by the city work stations (ie. ingots and leathers) and a personal plot will not be able to craft anything better than "good" quality while city stations are able to craft "Excellent" quality and higher.

      1. Are personal crafting stations taxed too?

      Not as far as I have heard, other than the house owner having to pay a portion of the upkeep for their house to the city.

      a possibility of the guild that control the city buy all plots around the city to diminish numbers of enemies or unwanted players, and in my point of vision it will be done.

      Actually, we thought of that, as that is exactly what is going to happen. Large guilds will have their members own all the residential spots. 🙂

      At the same time, the smaller guilds that have alliance with each other, will also buy all their residential plots up near their city as well. After all, who is going to let possible enemies in their backyard?

      @Memz said in Got a founder key! Super stoked for the next alpha test, what to do?? 🙂:

      what to try out when I first hit the game? What were your favorite things to explore that have been released to date? Would love to look up s

      Sadly, if you already have tendinitis, you are going to have a rough time at this game, as this game induces tendinitis and carpal tunnel in the hand and fingers. It is highly click intensive (and I mean, HIGHLY) and the developers are adamant about not changing that method. This is by no means to tell you not to play, but its just to give you big heads up.

      Now, as for you question.... there are several areas you will want to explore.... especially the Vale of Shadows as that region has a NEW area in it now!!! (Yipee!), besides that you will probably want to start with exploring the Goblin Hills (beware, it is full of goblins and may actually BE built out of goblins), then you have the Creeping Woods (lots of icky spiders and undead there), the wonderful Heartwood (beware of trees. I swear I hear them laughing at me, and they are prone to attack), the ever calming seacoasts (where you will meet some wonderful blue trolls that will shock you with love), the surrounding forests (for green leafy trolls) and northwest mountain ranges for some good o' Bouldering time with the natives (Think I saw the Hulk there once).

      @d3Sync

      In the live Twitch Stream they had last Sunday, Prometheus stated that governors will be able to turn PvP on/off within their cities and they can also use a "application for use" on their crafting assets where crafters will need to "apply" to be able to use the stations which is approved by the governor.

    • RE: Guild and races

      @Brueson @LonelyCookie

      I believe that is the problem the devs are finding themselves faced with. If they do by alignment, then they have Syndesia to have to deal with since it has 3 different alignments, and it ensures that no Criminals can be with Bounty Hunters in a guild. Also, it then opens up demons and beastmen both being able to guild with humans of like alignments and thereby being cross-planetary.

      If they do it by race, then they no longer have to worry about cross-planetary population but they have the transformations to deal with since they are basically their own individual races.

      @AltadarLeviathan

      Jacobo said in the last Q&A that they have not decided how they are going to structure the Guilds. They are tossing up different ideas still and are not set on any restrictions. With that said, the current restrictions are that everyone in a guild must be from the same main race.

      I expect the soil will be dark with the remnants of age old blood that has been soaked up and that there will be lots of screaming and sounds of torture going on in the background from all the poor beastman and human children, women, and men who are being ruthlessly beaten and enslaved by the vile, evil and corrupt denizens of that foul wicked planet.
