Really exciting stuff! I'm especially looking forward to having a mount to explore the world with.
I noticed that the list of weapons made by the blacksmith didn't include anything for mages, so wonder, - are the staffs we can make now will be the final iteration of mage gear?
It's been fun to play in the new cities during A2T3
On to working on winning a key for A2T4!
And @Woode , I saw this bump and that will be really helpful for me so THANKS
Thanks for this @kellewic ! I was able to find lots of interesting stuff with ^F about enchantments & mounts. Others with different interests can 'FIND' whatever search word they're interested in. But the transcription was the hard part,
KUDOS!

As a citizen of Meridian, I had access to a beautiful collection of reagents put together by my guildies. It was a happy couple of hours deciding what buffs I wanted on my new gear.
In a previous test, before there were cities and I was playing solo, it was definitely more challenging. In a future test, I suspect there will be folks who set themselves up as craftor/vendors and make gear available for a price.
What is it you actually wanted, @Woode? An instant (or easily obtained) set of strongly enchanted gear to go hunting in? I'm not sure that's either a realistic expectation or a desirable thing, tbh. If the expectation that excellent gear takes real work defeats you, you're gonna hate building a house.
That takes all day!!

@Nizav hi and welcome! There's a LOT of great information on the wiki, and I can't recommend it enough.
Esp useful for me is the Bestiary, where I can find out what skills all the creatures possess, and at which % knowledge about them the skills are learnable.
You will have an easier time of things, and be able to DO more stuff, if you join a guild that has a town built. My alliance, Meridian, has helped me a lot so I am happy to plug them, but becoming a citizen of ANY city gives you access to buildings and gear you can't build on your own.
I also highly recommend @maze's enchanters tool for an easy way to know what reagents you need for the buffs you want to put on your gear. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UkAU9BUR5CEG7edgzvIhkZx35LS0h1UMAB_9TBBxYq8/edit#gid=1172436953
woah, that sounds completely inconvenient >.<
I haven't had anything like that happen, resting at campfires or fireplaces at home & abroad. I'm using a PC Windows10 - how about you?
Anyone else having this problem? If so, what system? Maybe there's a pattern...
The dock is now back to the right color & texture except for the rope fencing around the platforms. Very stylish!
@Ostaff said in For the curious Enchanters out there.:
@jasconine Ack. You are right, these all add up to at least 2 in every attribute stat not 5. I used 2 instead of 5 for the total. Time to change it. According to my code, there are no 5 reagent combinations where all attributes add up to a min of 5 across the board for each required attributed of Magic Resistance (Body, Negate, Energy, Knowledge), though some did come close.
Forgive me, @Ostaff ... I'm easily confused
Is this to say that the combinations above are for T1 not T2 and there are NO possible combinations that will give 5s across the board for a t2 enchantment? If so, you might want to eidt or delete your original post.
Thanks for seeking this important answer tho. I'm still unable to deal with those bloody wisps on my own
Gratz to all the winners! Today, esp thanks to @SmithyJones, who gave me some truly useful intel in-game yesterday.

(Or i should buy a better computer
)
heya @suruq - During the first alpha, I assumed that this problem was bc of my old potato, but then saw people in the forum talking about getting in no problem with older & less powerful smaller laptops. So I don't think that's where the issue is; but I definitely plan to install a more powerful graphix card before the actual launch.
Let me know if my method works for you, ok? Or maybe you'll find an easier workaround!
@suruq said in Infinite loading:
Hey, I haven't tried to play since alpha 1 test 1 where I was having performance issue and nothing changed, I'm stuck on the "loading world" screen and can't even play.
It's pretty disappointing since I paid for a game I found interesting but can't try it at all.
Hope it will be fixed so I can try all the new features
Heya @suruq - I feel your pain!! I have also encountered the 'loading world' bug. I'm hoping things will get easier but I have found a workaround in the meantime... It requires persistence, I'm afraid.
It is a total pain, I know! Some days I can't get in at all, but if I have time and patience to give it a few tries I can usually play, and I'm actually really enjoying the game once I get in or I wouldn't bother.
It's an alpha, y'know? The tiny team of devs is trying to balance putting new content out with fixing known issues & responding to players in real time. Hope to see you in there sometime soon!
@Specter Hi boss! @Alexian has created a new spot for me in Meridian City at 832W/-2419 N
I appreciate your help getting situated AT LAST.
@Chapex - the 'city' mechanic is new, and so far that's been fun to play with for me. We've also been told that ports are part of the plan for this test, which will make traveling easier in some ways, even if they're not fully functional to get to other planets yet.
There are lots of QOL fixes that I personally wish the devs would make a part of the mix as they go along, but as @Logain says, there are probably good reasons for doing things in a certain order that are way above my pay grade
In case any devs are listening, my biggest wishes in the QOL department are...
Hi @Specter
I've been in touch with the Meridian Hand, @Alexian, and they're gonna create a vacant space in Meridian city for my new abode. I've asked them to let you know the coords either here or in Discord. My current buggy house to demolish is at 850W/-2494N
Thanks for all your help!
@Specter said in bug can't build anything in my house:
@PeachMcD If you want to build a house on the same plot as the bugged house, only Prometheus can delete it. However if you're willing to build a house on a different plot, I can insta-build it for you.
Thanks m8! At this point I'm not choosy as long as it's in Meridian. I'm just about ready to throw in the towel at this point, tbh. It took me three tries to get past the Server Disconnect error, and then the crafting function didn't work and the coords under the minimap were overlaid and unreadable so I had to log out and start over.
Then I got in again and it was all sweet but when I looked at the map to orient myself I got distracted and AGAIN clicked the wrong bloody X -- SO close to the one that closes the map -- and kicked myself out again.

When I tried to get back in, it was the 'Loading World' hangup. Repeated 3 times before I came here to whine about it. Thanks for listening. You're a star!
Gotta go to work now. I might try playing this game again in a few days, but no rush about this house thing anymore. I'm f;in DEFEATED for a little while.
@Prometheus -- oooh! Noice! Thanks boss. I'll try to get with @Specter on Discord!
Meanwhile this is the second time I've had to log out bc the crafting interface won't open.
you guys have SO much to do, but the game is still fun when I can get in.
WOW! Awesomesauce! Gratz to all the winners and THANKS to the algorithm that was kind to me again.
Sorry to hear this is happening to you too. This is a known bug. I have found that if I'm persistent, and keep exiting and trying again, the 'Loading World' hangup eventually becomes a 'disconnected from server' error back on the assets page, and once that happens, my next attempt almost always gets into the game.
Honestly, it's a hassle and I hope they'll deal with it soon. I only have an hour or so to play during a day, so if I spend half of that trying to get in, it doesn't leave much time to progress my little toon.
<sigh>
But it's an alpha. Things are WAY better this time than last time, and the devs are doing lots of fixes every week so <crossing fingers> it's gonna get easier to enjoy as time goes on.
My motto: NEVERTHELESS, THEY PERSISTED!
Gonna +1 this OP
I've had several experiences where I've been too busy dealing with mobs to read about them at the time, and then later look at my book by the campfire and wonder how I'll recognize one spider from another or one kind of goblin from another the next time I encounter them.
It's definitely not priority, but a thumbnail image is, realistically, part of ANY actual compendium or encyclodedia of Knowledge about the World.
