      SANTA CLAUS' REINDEER

      The nine reindeers of Santa Claus have landed on Elysium - and they're available for all players to catch!

      From now until January 6, each horse that spawns in the world has a small chance to feature a limited edition Reindeer skin. Catch it with your animal net, and the skin will be permanently unlocked for your account!

      As the true celebrity of the bunch, the Rudolph skin is 3 times rarer than the others. Who will find it first?


      CHRISTMAS SALE

      It's been a long time since we've put all Founder Packs (that we should really rename to Supporter Packs) on sale!

      So, here's the second surprise. From now until January 6, all Founder Packs enjoy a 20% discount!

      We currently don't support putting on sale Dynamight Tokens, but if you would like to see that too... we sure can implement it!

      FASTER GLORY GAINS

      Looking at player activity so far, we've realized that we aren't rewarding activities related to Divine Trials enough. These activities are:

      • Killing Galvanos legends.
      • Opening Iridia coins.
      • Opening Corrupted Divine Rewards.
      • Killing Exhalted and Infused monsters.

      So, here comes the last surprise: all Glory gains from the sources listed above have been permanently increased by 33%!

      Hi all,

      we have another patch coming on Monday, December 2, at 11am UTC! It's bug fixes again, namely:

      • Fixed a bug that made artifact creation fail, consuming materials. It happens only if the piece of equipment was created before the F2P launch patch, and only if you take the piece out of a chest, marketplace or bank and try to turn it into an artifact right away. As a workaround from here to the patch, put it in your inventory, logout and relog before trying to turn it into an artifact.
      • Fortress guards are now friendly towards members of the alliance of the defending guild.
      • Fixed a bug that would make some players of the conquering guild / alliance not get points after conquering a fortress.
      • The cart friends UI is now functional again.
      • Fixed a page of the season UI not closing properly when pressing ESC.
      • Some more translation improvements.

    • Patch Log - r.0.4c - Bug Fixes

      Hi all,

      this patch brings a few critical bug fixes, let's review them!

      • The Glory points of guilds that were lost when the last update was released have been restored. Please note that we've been able to restore all points from logs except those given by city pledges, for which we apologize. Compared to the points from other activities, they are definitely minor, so the 2 days lost there aren't changing the ranking in any significant way.
      • Tons of additional adjustments to pieces of UI that were not localized and would always show in English.
      • Glory points for fortresses are now tracked correctly in the permanent player leaderboards.
      • Calculations for Supremacy in the Season UI of Guilds are now correct. This was a visual bug.

    • Patch Log - r.0.4b - New Player Experience & Fixes

      Hi all,

      on Tuesday, November 26, at 1pm UTC, servers will be going down to release patch r.0.4b. It contains various improvements for new player retention and bug fixes, listed below!

      Changes

      • Popups added to explain why some stations (e.g. Imbuing Tables) can't be used in NPC cities or player cities when you are not a Trusted Citizen.
      • New color for Alliance chat, different from Guild chat.
      • Link to New Players Guide on the Fractured Wiki added to character selection menu and to account registration email.
      • On the first character login after opening the client, some menus now open automatically (Special Events, Seasons, Adventurer's Tasks).

      Bug Fixes

      • Multiple fixes to bits of UI not localized that are always displayed in English.
      • Fixes to broken tags in some translations, particularly Polish.
      • Fixed a bug that prevented other guilds from joining an alliance, other players from being recognized as allied, etc.
      • Fixed a bug that caused some settings to reset from time to time (e.g. Shadows and Cursor).
      • Fixed guild creation menu that sometimes prevents clicking on the TAG box.
      • The number of own inventory slots displayed when trading with another player is now correct instead of always being the maximum unlockable slots.
      • Fixed character moving when issuing invites.
      • The quest tracker is now cleaned up correctly after claiming an Adventurer's Task.
      • Fixed visual issues when mounting while transforming.

      we are releasing a client and server patch that removes all restrictions on "free" accounts, including the inability to add gold to pay for the maintenance your land claim, create settler groups, and more.

    • Patch Log - r.0.4a - Hotfixes

      Hi all,

      this patch hotfixes some critical issues introduced by Release r04, that is:

      • Chest loot is now correct on both continent.
      • Crafting new consumables generates 10 items time instead of 5 (with the same requirements, which means they're twice as easy to craft).
      • The Potions of Power and Haste now work correctly.
      • Fixed a few monster loot tables that still contained the old consumables.

      If you are just applying a skin, you can convert. If it's a different blueprint, you must rebuild.

      About Artifacts, will the suffixes be random or will we be able to choose which ones we put on which piece of equipment?

      The recipe you get is random. Each recipe is for a specific item+suffix combination, e.g. Rapier of Wizardry, which you can use to craft the Rapier of Wizardry together with a Legendary Rapier and some materials.
      Note that suffixes usually don't couple with all weapon types. The Axe of Wisdom doesn't exist 🙂

    • Server Save Fail - August 16, 2024 (Aerhen 21-Hour Rollback)

      Hi all,

      yesterday at 4pm UTC a bug occurred in the world of Aerhen that caused all Aerhen world saves made after that time to be corrupted. By world saves we mean everything player-made that's in the game world, most notably cities and land parcels. Note: banks are not actually part of the world, they have been saved correctly.

      The saves were created on time and looked correct on the surface, so we didn't receive any alert from our monitoring systems and only found out a couple hours ago.

      The bug that caused this, which was on an engine level, has been identified and fixed.

      After careful consideration, we decided not to rollback everything (i.e. all player characters and Terra) by 21 hours, but only the world of Aerhen itself, to minimize progress losses.

      If you've incurred notable losses in building your city or home, please tag a Game Master on Discord and they will help you rebuild. If you've incurred notable item losses (this can happen if for example you moved all your bank into your home in the last 24 hours), please also reach out to Game Masters. We'll intervene personally crossing player character backups and world backups to restore your items.

      Do note that this is an extremely time-consuming process for us. If you've dropped an Orb yesterday night and put it in a chest, please don't call for Game Masters, as we physically don't have time to intervene to restore a single item.

    • Patch Log - The Hunt - Additional Changes

      Hi all,

      these are some of the additional changes to The Hunt which were mentioned at the bottom of the post. Enjoy!


      === ITALIAN LANGUAGE ===

      The first localization - Italian - has arrived!

      Together with this, we've also done an extensive review of English texts and fixed various portions of the UI that could not handle longer texts correctly. This has laid a solid foundation for the next languages that are coming soon - French, Spanish and Portuguese!


      === BALANCE CHANGES ===

      It's mostly buffs down here!

      ARMOR

      • Knight: 1-second cooldown added to the Full Set Ability. This is the only nerf in the list, and pretty much universally agreed to.
      • Slayer: stacks of the Full Set Ability now give 2.5% PP instead of 2% but cap at 8 instead of 10 (this means max PP received is still 20%, but it's gained more quickly). Moreover, they now decay after to 12 seconds instead of 10.
      • Warlock: when the Full Set Ability triggers (that is, when the user spends HP instead of mana to cast), HP lost are now 75% of the base mana cost of the spell instead of 100%.

      RACES

      • Blood Demon: base HP increased from 2000 to 2500. In PvE, Thirst for Blood gains have been increased from 1% every 25 HP lost to 1% every 15 HP lost (i.e. it takes 40% less time to load up).
      • Hellfire Demon: base mana increased from 500 to 750. Infernal Fury now also deals 200 Fire Damage every 2 seconds.

      TRIALS

      • Galvanos: Legend icons are now visible on the world map and minimap. There are 3 legends at most instead of 5, which now have 4x instead of 3x the HP of their regular counterparts, plus 2x the damage instead of the same. To make it easier for PvE players to gain Favor, all legends outside of the trial give more favor now, and players can reach up to 5000 favor from Resident and Event legends (instead of 2500).
      • Babilis: Corrupted Divine Rewards no longer drop Dust or Recipes, only Gold and Orbs. The Orb roll chances are higher than before. This, coupled with the fact Corrupted DR were already 50% more likely to drop than regular ones, should make the Trial of Babilis the best place to farm Orbs and Gold. Moreover, Favor gained has been increased when obtaining rarer corruped DR.
      • Tyros / Nelena: Favor gained per Exalted / Infused monster killed has been doubled. Gold and Primal Energy in Exalted / Infused have been decreased by 20%.
      • Iridia: favor gains from using Coins of Fate increased slightly.

      === BUG FIXES ===

      There's always some of these too!

      SERIOUS

      • It's no longer possible to imbue attributes on gems. Note that those could not be socketed into any piece of equipment, so it was useless anyway, but looked very bad.
      • The description of the Full Set Bonus of the Assassin set was completely wrong (it still described the old effect changes months ago), it's been updated along other sets that also had errors.
      • It's no longer possible to have unlimited summons with some tricks.
      • Primal Energy no longer gets lost or replenished when playing moving through different server zones.
      • Opened chests in fortresses no longer reset at server restart.
      • Eviction notices are no longer reset at server restart.

      MINOR

      • The teleport of Nelena can no longer be used when carrying a handcart.
      • The projectiles of summons no longer hit other summons under some circumstances.
      • The Trial of Galvanos no longer summons a Ghost Lizard instead of one of the Legends 😄
      • Witchcraft Proficiency can now be imbued on amulets.
      • Typing \ in the chat no longer makes the message not be sent, unless it's a \emote command.
      • Fixed a visual glitch on Magical and Physical Power in character creation for human characters.
      • Siege times now only use UTC time in UI.
      • Relogging next to a completed event no longer shows the event icon on the minimap.
      • If somone leaves a cart on your plot, you can move away the cart, but no longer use Deposit All to steal its content.
