      You can keep using the regular launcher. You can even use the regular launcher if you bought the game on Steam after linking accounts 🙂

      I never signed up on steam the first time (I do have a package), so I have nothing to launch atm. Do you have a way to connect things up now? I didnt play previously because of glyph, so now that you are free of them, I will give it a go.

      If you bought the game on fracturedmmo.com you can just login there, download the launcher and play on the 8th! If not, you can buy now on sale there or wait to buy on Steam on the 8th 🙂

We are going to release everything during the course of Early Access, with the VIP system and the store taking the highest priority - they should be live by the end of the year!

    • Patch Log - b.1.0 - New Legends, Quick Rest & More

      Hi all,

      this is the content of patch b08h, coming out tomorrow!


      Quick Rest

      It's among us! Hit K (default hotkey, can be changed) when out of combat to initiate a Quick Rest session.

      When triggered, your character immediately sits down and recovers 10% of its max HP and mana per second. Taking any damage or negative effect that makes you enter Combat Mode immediately stops the Quick Rest. All types of rest now make you gain HP and mana this way instead of sending you to 100% right away.

      Please note that Quick Rest doesn't make your lose the Max HP Debuff ("purple bar") from KOs - that only happens when resting in a house fire. Similarly, it doesn't allow you to change spells and abilities - that's only possible in front of a house fire or campfire.


      New Ultimate Legends

      Two new Ultimate Legend challenges have been added, one for each continent!

      The Rumbling Valley challenge on Aerhen is shock&cold-themed and features Argadr the Stormcaller (Jotunn) and Fenris - Lady of the Frozen Waste (Artic Wolf) as bosses. This also brings into the game 3 new creatures: Jotunn Huntress, Jotunn Sorceress, Elder Arctic Wolf.

      The Dancing Stones challenge on Terra is primordial-themed and sees Groove - Shaker of Worlds (Earth Elemental) and Murag-Gul (Mountain Troll) as bosses.

      Who's going to claim them first?


      Hotbar-only Items

      Bandages and stat-changing consumables (teas, etc) can now be used from the hotbar only.

      As it happens with spells, adding a new item of such kind to the hotbar triggers an instant 10 seconds cooldown for the whole category (so let's say you have 6 spells, 1 tea and add another tea => both teas will enter a 10s cooldown before they can be used).

      We know, this is going to come as a shock for some of you, but that's how the mechanic was always supposed to work - you choose a mix of 8 items and spells for your combat session and roll with those. No clicking in the inventory manually or with hotkey-bound click-scripts (!).


      Legends Loot

      Summonable legends are now spawned immediately, without a 10-minutes wait. However, monsters keep spawning around them for as long as they are alive, and they now give 5 Divine Rewards instead of 10.

      Ultimate legends now give 12 Divine Rewards each instead of 10, and an average of 5.7k gold instead of 2.1k.

      Wandering legends now give 2 rewards instead of 1 and twice as much gold.


      Balancing

      Here we are listing both balancing changes and bug fixes that affect combat balancing.

      • Change: Magical Abilities can't be cast anymore with a shield unless it has the Spell Channeling property. The Round Shield now has it.
      • Change: Shields Up now doubles only the Block Chance given by... shields 😄 instead of that of weapons too.
      • Change: Block Chance is now capped at 50%.
      • Change: Weaken is now a T2 ability. Mana Cost: 180 => 360, Cooldown: 7.5 => 15, Damage: 12-18 => 16-24, Duration: 0.3 => 0.2-0.3.
      • Change: the Temporary HP given by the Life Shield talent are now capped to 500 (flat) instead of 20% of the Max HP of the recipient.
      • Change: Glass Barrier no longer gives Block Chance.
      • Change: Bloodlust healing reduced from 1.6% x CON to 1.2% x CON.
      • Change: Vicious Attacks bonus damage increased from 0.6-0.9% x CON to 0.8-1.2% x CON.
      • Change: the damage of the Scimitar, Rapier and Handaxe have been slightly tweaked. The Armor Penetration on the Rapier has been doubled.
      • The Healing Conversion talent is now functional, but nerfed to 5% per point.
      • Fix: Confusion now only gives a chance to fail casting Magical abilities, not all abilities.
      • Fix: the Full Set Bonus of the Cleric Armor now triggers only when healing other players.

      Bug Fixes & Minor Changes

      • Fixed a major bug that allowed players to duplicate items.
      • Fixed a major bug that could make a player receive Divine Rewards of a level different from the one they were meant to receive.
      • When a server process loses connection to our webserver it now reconnects automatically. This should fix all the issues the cities of Slave Empire and Lotus Garden experienced during this test.
      • Silence no longer applies a cap to Wisdom.
      • Fixed a bug that would make Totems turn on the Aggressive flag of players. For example, the AOE from a Frost Blast cast by the Totem of Winter would damage all players and make them Aggressive, including the caster of the Totem itself.
      • Moving out of a siege boundary with a mobily spell now causes the player to be kicked back in once the spell is over - and the other way around.
      • Co-owners can now add gold to plots maintenance.
      • Killing the Wandering Legend of an event now correctly makes the event disappear to be respawned in the future.
      • Rounding of numbers in the UI has been fixed in multiple places.
      • Dough, flour and the Milling Stone have been removed from the game.

      Unless there's any hotfix needed, this one will go to Steam! Cheers!

      Hi all,

      here we go again with the bug fixes - and a little bit of extra!


      Changes

      • Freeze is now considered an Incapacitating effect, which means creatures and spells that have/give protection from/to being Incapacitated are now immune to Freeze.
      • Ice Spikes now applies half Chilled stacks for each spike hitting the same target after the first one (just like it always did with damage).
      • The damage of the Mass Eruption spell of the Termidian Matron Legend has been reduced by 33%.

      Bug Fixes

      • Imbuing a flawless gem with a T1/2 property no longer results in that property becoming T3.
      • Heavy materials taken out of marketplaces are no longer lost on worker transition.
      • Cities can now join nations.
      • Fixed a bug that would allow players to duplicate carts under some very specific circumstances.
      • Shield recipes now drop.
      • The recipes of ingots now require the correct materials.
      • The altars of Summonable Legends are now functional again.
      • The recipes of wood boards now feature the correct ratio of logs:boards.
      • The area of the Acid Pools on Terra is now populated.
      • The Alchemy Shop now has its icon on the minimap.
      • The Distillery now snaps correctly (taking a whole tile, centered).
      • Corrosion now correctly removes 0.5% of the victim's armor per stack instead of 4 (flat).
      • Hidden character with Vergant Regrowth active are no longer visible.
      • Pierce Through now correctly removes protections.
      • It's now possible to enchant items located in the first slot of a player's inventory.
      • Fixed a bug that would sometimes make blueprint popups disappear immediately after appearing.
      • Logging in with a cart attached now gives the player the correct movement and rotation speeds.
      • It's not possible to edit Sell Orders for heavy materials.
      • Weapon recipes are no longer in the marketplace filter.
      • Getting a recipe when popping a Divine Reward now gives the correct above-head message.
      • Inspire now longer heals the target if the latter hasn't gained Max Life because already under the effect of it.
      • Character with talent The One can no longer dodge arrows when under the effect of Hunter's Mark.
      • Word of Power: Kill now works properly.
      • Debilitating Strike now deals a Secure Hit.
      • Magnetize now lowers resistances correctly.
      • The talent Feint is now functional.
      • The Ogre Mage now holds a staff.
      • The Transform icon is no longer missing from the Aspect Extractor.

      Hi all,

      this time we have a BIG patch coming! Read on for all the news!


      Starfaring Wagons

      The #1 request of the community and a vital piece of the economy is finally fixed: when a character logs out carrying a cart or a wagon, the latter now goes with it instead of detaching.

      Do you know a time in the game when you logout and relog automatically on a different server? The answer is: when using a stargate! This means that carts now travel through the stars! 🌠


      Ultimate Legends

      The first 2 ultimate legends are live - one on Terra and one on Aerhen!

      Find their altar and start the summoning, then kill the monsters that spawn in the area quickly enough to progress through 6 steps of increasing difficulty. If you don't kill the monsters quickly enough, the progress will reset to the beginning of the current step!

      If you manage to complete the 6th and last step, 2 legends will appear at the same time. Kill them for the best rewards of any legend, but beware: the level of the fight is way higher than anything you've seen so far!


      Bug Fixes

      Of course we have a handful of these as well 😉

      • Divine Rewards now persist at logout.
      • The Primitive Quarterstaff and the Quarterstaff now have their own entry in the Book of Knowledge.
      • Battle Jump now longer breaks Link abilities.
      • Frenzy no longer keeps you in combat mode permanently.
      • Crossing worker lines (i.e. different "servers") in the same world no longer happens to heal you.
      • Necklaces now require as much Dust as 1-handed weapons to be enchanted, as intended. Moreover, they have 2 enchantment slots instead of 1. Primitive weapons also have 2 now.
      • Higher tier properties are now prioritized whe imbuing (if you can imbue a T2 and a T1, the system will always pick the T2 first, if you can imbue it).
      • When checking Buy Orders via the Find function in the marketplace, the Quantity of Buy Orders is now correct instead of always being displayed as 1.
      • Fixed a bug that made some players unable to place buy orders.

      Hi all,

      second bug fix patch is out, with a nice not-so-little addition included!

      Additions

      Imbued proficiencies are live! You can now imbue your weapons, armor and jewels making them grant +1/2/3 to an ability school (e.g. "+2 Geomancy Proficiency").

      All imbued properties of this type belong to the same Unicity Group, so you can only have one per piece (the same way you can only have one magical resistance per piece).

      Please note that imbued proficiencies don't stack with orbs (the highest between orbs and imbues wins), and also can't get you past the maximim proficiency allowed by your Rank.

      Changes

      • You can temporarily create a city with only 10 settlers and 50k gold.
      • Max siege participants temporarily lowered to 10.

      Bug Fixes

      • It no longer happens that crossing server boundaries causes Max Mana Loss from Sustained abilities to get messed up.
      • Enchanting a piece of equipment no longer makes it so that you can only imbue properties at higher tiers on it.
      • Failing to cast a Channeling ability (e.g. fail to cast Earthquake due to Confusion) no longer causes you to permanently lose mana regen until relog.
      • Metal Components and Sheets can now be crafted with Iron too.
      • The Ember Dragon Altar is now functional.
      • The Recruit channel of the global chat is now easier to read.
      • Fixed tooltips of Cleave Armor and Expose Vulnerabilities.
      • The filter in the Buy / Find page of the marketplace now works correctly.
      • Weapons with Armor Penetration as native property now show the correct text.
      • Fixed a localization error when collecting branches from trees.
      • Fixed a localization error when building blueprints.
      • Fixed a localization error when creating a Talent preset with default name.
      • Fixed a localization error when receiving an Orb after popping a Divine Reward.

      Hi all,

      first bug fix patch is out!

      • Root bridges in and around the Termidian islands on Terra have been fixed. The bug was caused by a wrong flag in an object and a good dose of lack of attention, which resulted in pieces of bridges being shot everywhere - from under the water to high up the sky. Fun times for the bridges!
      • Mounting and dismounting no longer causes Toggle spells to bug out and give free mana to the caster.
      • Looting Resident and Wandering Legends no longer requires a particular alignment. Good players still can't summon legends at Altars and loot the summoned Legends, as intended. Yes, Evil players can now do that too, not only Neutral.
      • All large Dragons now use their Dragon Breath spells correclty and no longer get stuck in a casting loop.
      • The Charge spell now correctly has an effect range of 8 meters instead of... 360.
