Goblin camp at 2370W 275N - There is a tent with a wooden post and ladder at center of it. Its easy to get behind them, but not out. I managed to get out when some mobs attacked me.

Is it possible to kill or be killed by another player if either is not in a militia?

I was standing in the northern starter town and tabbed out for a few minutes. When iu came back all my gear and items in inventory were gone. I assume i had been killed by another player, but i have yet to join a militia. So how was i killed and robbed by another player? Thank you.
