You have to account for the fact that right now the population is low and you're the only one collecting those stones. Looking how fast you go through arrows and how much they weight, it might be quite hard to solo pve as an 6STR archer in a zone without lots of animals. -

Campfires remain there for a while, which means that you don't need to create more than one when farming somewhere. For example, when I'm farming goblins, I'm building a campfire between some trees a screen away from the center-north fire mage and I return there after every rotation.
The only problem I see with the current system is when you're roaming with a low STR character because the stones weight a lot. -

@Farlander I only played Diablo+HF/D2+LoD, but doesn't Fractured have the same targeting system?
LMB (both) = move (if aimed at the ground) or attack (if mouse-over enemy)
RMB (Fractured) = Shift+LMB (Diablo) = manual targeting
Both have skill shots. -

I agree with you, but what I mean is that at the end of the Q&A session, Prometheus could make a very short summary of what he talked about because. For example, for the last Q&A we'd have about 7 of these:- this is the planned towns locations and resource spread on Myr -> https://i.imgur.com/VWZqMOw.jpg
- your diet has to be diverse (not only wolf meat) because otherwise you suffer debuffs
- we expect big zergs to be a thing, but we have thought of systems to limit monopolies and prevent a large guild from having more than maybe 4 towns

Can we have other means of information beside Twitch Q&A sessions?
It looks like lately the only way to find out what's planned for Fractured is watching Twitch Q&A sessions. This is the one from yesterday. I appreciate the work that goes into that, but the problem is you present important upcoming information about the game which can only be gained by watching a 3h+ video in english, which can be summed up in a lot less anyway. Some people have problems with english (reading is easier than listening, especially when you can use Google translate), some simply don't have the patience to go through such a long video. I'm not asking for lengthy content pills as we had before, but can we maybe have a short summary of what's discussed?

Aren't docks, which will hopefully be implemented this test, basically fast travel? The thing is that they are on the edge of the map, so as long as they keep resources in the middle I'd say it's alright. -

I don't see it making the travel any safer at all
hint: you obviously don't transport the stuff on your alt, but use it to scout ahead
As to multiple PCs logged in at the same time (or multiple windows on a PC with different toons) this is still stopped or at least slowed down if you have to pay for every active account that you run, and only 1 character from a given account can be logged in at any given time.
So basically it's alright as long as only people who paid for an extra account do it? What happens if/when the game goes f2p?
Other than that I explained in the first reply how others (including me) abuse of alts in other similar games, and that I don't think there's a solution to deal with it.

I don't think they are implemented for any stat. I checked for STR, PER, INT, and CHA. You don't get the extra bonuses, or at the very least the stats don't change on character screen.

Yes, but what is the difference between one person having 2 clients on the same PC and one person having 2 clients open on two different PC? The only difference is that one can be caught and the other can't.
The problem I see with people's complaints about Alt spam is the fact that without fast travel, and shared banks, the advantage of alts for money making purposes goes way down.
Then maybe you should reread the thread? For this specific problem: you have to transfer resources anyway, but using an alt scout makes the journey way safer.

I was talking about ways in which alts can be advantageous in general since there's a lot of stuff we don't know about Fractured yet.
That's a bit of two conditions at once situation. It's not just about having multiple characters, but about running multiple clients/characters at once. And that should be prohibited by the rules. as it indeed offers drastic advantages.
Some people have multiple devices that can run the game. Some use VPN. In my case I can even run the game on 2 different machines with different ISP (wired <100ping, and 4g shared from mobile for ~200ping). How can you tell that a character which is a few screens away is someone's alt anyway?

Alts can be a bad thing, but I don't think anything can be done about them.
Examples in which alts offer advantages: if the game has a crafting focus system, having more alts = more money. Scouting ahead with a cheaply geared alt to protect your main from gankers / camping an alt outside a dungeon so you can see who comes in. If the game has travel limitations for zergs, these can be bypassed by having multiple zvz-ready alts located at key areas.
