@maze
Mages were OP without doubt in alpha, but most melee and archers skills were not implemented. Also, another part is that mage armor is beyond broken in its current state.

RE: Angel? Angel Spells?
@tulukaruk said in Angel? Angel Spells?:
As far as we know Angel is locked to being good. Cannot change alignment, cannot fall back to Demon.
Think for a second from a pure balancing perspective and ignore roleplay. Karma is tied to player actions, so if you do things that drop your karma, your alignment should also change. If the angels cannot fall back to demon, then I can KoS everyone without repercussion. This pretty much negates the whole point of a karma system.
Now, from the roleplay perspective, if it's decided angels cannot change back to demon... whatever. But it's mandatory to have good, neutral and evil angels, depending on player actions. -
RE: I haven't gotten a Fractured Newsletter.
I always get the newsletter with a bit of delay. I'd say just have patience a day or two.

RE: Attacks speeds depending on armor ?
@asspirin said in Attacks speeds depending on armor ?:
to topic - thinking about it, will armour progress as fast as damage ? It was stated by devs that the difference between in damage between Tier primitive and Tier 2 will be cca 20%. Will same apply to armour? Or will defence grow slower?
This difference doesn't account for enchants. A primitive weapon with tier2 damage enchant and tier1 critical will have considerably more dps than a vanilla iron weapon. I imagine a fully enchanted iron weapon will have at least 50% more dps than a vanilla primitive. Also keep in mind that weapons only have 3 enchant slots, while armors have 8. On the other hand, it isn't really fair to form an opinion based on these alpha tests since the stats might be wildly different at release.

RE: February 2020 Playtest Survey
@Ori0n Keep in mind that all but 5 backers got those packs at a 50€ discount.

RE: All abilities have chance to hit?
Skillshots shouldn't have hit chance (and if I remember correctly, they didn't in the last test).

RE: February 2020 Playtest Survey
@Prometheus
It doesn't bother me because I missed the kickstarter, but there's a history of people getting upset over developers selling kickstarter exclusives after the campaign ended. The things that could potentially upset backers are the exclusive cosmetics (statue, armor, horse skin). On a second thought, only 5 people bought these packs at full price - everyone else got them on a good discount. I did the survey later and ended up voting for adding the packs..PS: In the event of adding the packs, how long will they be available? Will we be able to upgrade from a current pack to knight and then immortal?
PPS: Why did you mention me? I didn't even post in this thread. -
RE: February 2020 Playtest Review
@Jetah Awesome, thanks for the notice!

RE: Funding has exploded
@Xzoviac
Ah, this game is only available in Asia.
Anyway, it doesn't show how the combat works or what other party members do when you navigate the ship. -
RE: Funding has exploded
I would also love to see seafaring, but I don't see how they can make it fun for an isometric game in which everyone controls a character.

RE: February 2020 Playtest Review
Did you guys get the survey? Or maybe I misunderstood and we're supposed to get the survey link before the next test?

RE: How big should guilds allowed to be?
@Shivashanti said in How big should guilds allowed to be?:
That's a bit offtopic and i believe they'll put in a good managment system, not all devs are such trolls like sandbox interactive
Why do you bash SBI with every opportunity? It's kind of weird especially when you consider that their game is quite detailed from this point of view. They got:
- last time a user has been online;
- 1week/ 2weeks/ lifetime logs for how much each member farmed, how much pvp fame they got, how much they contributed to the guild in silver,/gold/energy, which can be exported to excel.
- tax system for guild members
- storage access rights (no access / deposit items / deposit & withdraw items / give rights to others) with a detailed log about who took or deposited and what were those items which can again be exported to excel
- guild islands, which together with the above makes item donations and player regears smooth
- guild rights management with a lot more options than invite/kick
I think all those stuff are quite awesome and hope Fractured is going to have them as well.

RE: B2P vs F2P
I prefer b2p + monthly sub unless the game is dying and going f2p is the only option to keep it alive. I don't play f2p games because often you end up spending more money if you want to be competitive.

RE: Future Angel looking to be part of/create a guild
I'm in the same guild with HolyDragon and also plan to go the demon -> angel route. It should be an easier to achieve goal if we work together.

RE: Knowledge System Harvesting
@Kralith @Gothix
Ok, but that doesn't mean much since in reality the seasoned character won't try to gank "fair" by picking whatever skills the starter character has. And we don't even account for skill levels or talents (because they cannot be tested yet).How about crafters: if the benefits are good enough to make it worth creating a specialised crafter/gatherer/refiner, then we might fall in the situation when a new character has to do these services at a loss until they max out their skill (this pretty much happens in Albion).
Again, I don't dislike the system, but I think it gives the wrong impression to the new players. It certainly did to me: I only become interested in the game after the first test, when I realised it would actually be a mmorpg. Prior to that I thought the character development is pretty much like a MP fps in which basically all progress is modding weapons. "Character progression by exploration" sounds like a more fitting name.

RE: Adding Camera Options?
@Jetah
I highly doubt that's the reasoning since for most of the objects it takes less than a minute to complete the 4th side just by mirroring one of the existing ones. It's a design decision. -
RE: Knowledge System Harvesting
@Kralith I agree with that and I actually like games with deep character development (which end up being grindy). However, whenever I said something like that people came with the counter-argument that it goes against Fractured's horizontal progression^ since a new character won't be as powerful/effective as a seasoned one.
^ I am still not sure I understand what exactly horizontal progression means
-
RE: Knowledge System Harvesting
@Kralith So we are slowly turning into Albion's <do this action 1000 times> to increase <this crafting/gathering/refining skill> and get some bonuses?
I'm not disliking it as it creates specialised crafters, but a few months back when I suggested something similar people said it is against the "horizontal progression" vision of the game. -
RE: How big should guilds allowed to be?
I know it's settled so far, but I'd also want a bunch of small guilds instead of Albion-style mega alliances, with one thing: all characters that share the same account should count as one spot in a guild.
