As Specter said, the only way to lose a parcel I heard of so far is leaving plot decay do its thing (which isn't implemented yet, and even if it was, 6 days is not enough for that to happen). Your thread raises the question if we will be able to sell land plots.

RE: Support/Bard Type Archetypes?
I used to play Lineage 2 with 4 characters at once when it was sub-based (tank, 2 archers, buffer). Me and my buddy basically run a full party together. Does this answer your question?

RE: Geting out of stun when disabled?
Check the skill of the first item, the mercenary hood (can be used when you are CC'ed).

RE: Geting out of stun when disabled?
In Albion online however there was no such thing
mercenary hood (small aoe) -> https://wiki.albiononline.com/wiki/Cleanse
locus (huge aoe) -> https://wiki.albiononline.com/wiki/The_Voidarcane W removes root/slow -> https://wiki.albiononline.com/wiki/Motivating_Cleanse
nature W remove root/slow -> https://wiki.albiononline.com/wiki/Cleanse_Heal
reset staff removes root/slow -> https://wiki.albiononline.com/wiki/Salvation
knight helmet (which is probably the most common zvz item in the game) -> https://wiki.albiononline.com/wiki/Displacement_Immunity -
RE: Support/Bard Type Archetypes?
@asspirin
I see your point, but then you have to find a nuker who has all the necessary buffs, bla bla. Then sometimes you have to solo or duo. It's more convenient to have your own bufferslave - it only costs about 25€ and you have it forever. This is my perspective, of course, but from my experience in other games most people who play long term have multiple accounts.PS: 50% is a huge difference. Even if it's more like 20%, the clear-time greatly improves when you account for 3-4 DPS.
PPS: Please don't insult me thinking I'd ever invite summoners to my farming parties. :)) -

@Savitr devs stated that equipement will be easily replacable
This doesn't mean all gear will be cheap.
@asspirin said in Support/Bard Type Archetypes?:
and creating another account just to get buffs anytime i wanted sounds little too overcomplicated to me - why not go on raid with other guild mates, if each one slots aoe buff
If buffs scale with stats, then you want a dedicated buffer and I'd rather bring my own slave buffer than another player (no time wasted on finding an extra party member, plus less people to share loot with).
@asspirin said in Support/Bard Type Archetypes?:
Also there´s no need to have crafting alt, as everyone can craft anything anytime (maybe enchanting alt, but again what are guildmates for ?).
We don't know how crafting will work, but anyway you mostly use alts for scouting. When farming in a dungeon you can let the scout outside to check if anyone comes in - this way you can farm with expensive gear without risking it. During zvz, multiple people will have naked characters spread around the keypoints to check for enemy. Same with naked toons around world bosses.

RE: Race Balance Issues
Regarding karma - I don't exactly see what's your issue with that. It's fair that gaining karma is much harder than losing it because it's a system meant to separate players in 3 groups: pve-only, occasional pvp and hardcore pvp. Maybe demons should be indeed given the option to start as neutral, but imo the whole angel thing makes little sense (I'd rather just make it a separate starting race).
Regarding demons: stat-wise, I'd say that beastfolk are optimised for tank (bear), support (deer) and rogue (tiger). Demonfolk are optimised for warrior (hellfire), rogue (shadow), mage (blood). I think a lot more people will go beastfolk->abomination than demon->angel, so in the end the demon guilds will be a lot more balanced than the beastfolk (who will lack damage). I expect demons to have an edge on asteroids. I also expect loot to be better on demon planet, but if that's not the case, the materials on demon planet will be the most expensive for sure.
PS: There are 2 big cons on Arboreus: resources will be dirt-cheap compared to other planets and since there's no way to dispute pve spots there will be a lot of griefing.

you have to unlock the sklls and rank. so having the VIP at the beginning should help boost your chances of getting that skill/rank faster.
Yes, but most likely buying the game comes with a month of premium. I haven't seen a b2p game with premium that doesn't do that. And even if that's not the case, it still makes little sense having premium on alts in the long term.
-
RE: Support/Bard Type Archetypes?
Unless there's a lot of grinding involved into creating a decent slavebuffer, the current premium bonuses are not really worth it on alts (at least not for me). In Albion you can only multibox premium characters, but that's not a problem with people who own multiple machines.

RE: Opening inventory during fight ?
@Gothix How do you kill anyone in a zvz ever if there's burst healing and you lose CC when getting hit?
-
RE: Support/Bard Type Archetypes?
@asspirin
Of course I'm going to have multiple accounts... This way I can flip the market, buff or scout while also playing on my main. I mean, lots of people do that. -
RE: Support/Bard Type Archetypes?
@Jetah
I'm not talking about using it in pvp, but in pve. Instead of inviting a buffer, you bring your own toon and kick it from the party once everyone is buffed.PS: Even if dual boxing is not allowed, people will inevitably use multiple toons. I can use my PC for my main and laptop for the slave to scout the entrance in case we farm in a dungeon.
-
RE: Support/Bard Type Archetypes?
Ok, so now that buffers are confirmed, what is the stance on dual boxing? You know, bufferslaves are not unheard of in other games...
-
RE: Support/Bard Type Archetypes?
@Jetah
... thisPS: It was obviously a joke.

i hope they add one. complete with instruments and cords that have to be played for the spells.
... and if you plug your guitar hero controller and shred the song on it the buff gets extra effects.

RE: What will be the in-game gold sinks?
@Jetah
If I were him, I'd only accept ears... especially if they come from third party sources. -
RE: What will be the in-game gold sinks?
@Farlander I don't think they are mentioned yet.
PS: @Prometheus can you make some light on this? Are we going to have coins? If yes, have you decided yet how they will be obtained. If not, have you decided how will marketplaces work?
-
RE: What will be the in-game gold sinks?
^ Right... 200h in and nobody will care about why does that toad boss drop sword pieces or how beautiful the tree cutting animation is, but I will be very annoyed if I need to waste 15min on a regear every time I get ganked because we don't have enough coins in game to use the marketplace since money are only dropped by humanoid mobs which are scarce. If I have 2-3h of game time per work day, I want to have fun not waste it on boring stuff. I hope they will focus more on quality of life features and smooth gameplay than on roleplay.
-
RE: What will be the in-game gold sinks?
@tiltowait Since the game is full loot pvp, no thanks because I don't wanna get raped by people who play all day every day and can afford to gank in maxed gear.
Imo the best solution is to have big fees for the guild events.
