      Happened to me too.
      It means that you had empower on your previous build. Since empower increased in memory cost with the patch, the preset was invalid and it could not be applied.

      Between that time and now, INT requirement was lowered thanks to 5 additional memory points, and Silence was just nerfed.

      You can exploit that. And then you find a solution to that exploit too. And then it gets exploited in a different way, and then you find another fix...
      As soon as you enter the game of "if this, then that", you open the doors to a constant fight between fixes and new ways to exploit the system.
      The current system is very straightforward. If you are hostile to me, then I know that from the start and can react. It is simple, clean and very hard to exploit.

      I will address a few of these points.

      First one, why we need a shrine (or whatever building) to switch alignment before we go out?

      The games that don't have this system are asking for it to be implemented. The problem is that when you are out there hunting, and see a player which is clearly preparing to kill you, you can't pre-emptively attack, since that would make YOU the aggressor. It is a situation which puts the victim at a huge disadvantage, he has to wait for the other one to make the first move.
      By forcing you to declare your intent (good or evil) before leaving the city, you even the scales. Now if you see a red player when you are hunting, you can strike at him without issue, removing that unfair disadvantage.

      Second one, why karma should reset when you go to prison?

      This is a more complex one. Mostly it is made to allow a player to stop being red, which otherwise could be so hard to achieve that he could leave the game. It offers a way out of that playstyle.
      Now, there are a few issues with that. The biggest one is that the current implementation is extremely easy to exploit. You can clean the karma of anyone at zero cost, so things obviously need to change. What I suggest is that the karma gets reset, but if the player turns again evil at a shrine in the next week, his karma is reset at the previous levels. To clear his tab, he needs to be a good guy for at least a week.

      As for the shrine part, I think that all T1 techs being completed should be a requirement to advance to rank 5.

      I don't see why you must find a way to give a negative spin to it.

      Prometheus wanted to updated those spotlights for quite some time, but he has never had the time. Now there are people giving him an hand on these kinds of tasks, so we are finally getting these updates.

      I will roll on Syndesia. The current situation is about what most of us expected from an open world pvp system.
      You are safe most of the time, and are in danger only when going into particularly dangerous hotspots.

      Creates a lot of interaction between players and makes managing cities and economies much more engaging.

      Agree that the punishment for reds should be harsh. Even if some of us would prefer different punishment systems, we all agree that they still need to be... punishing.

      A young player has less than 50kp. He isn't really contributing that much to the legend, he is mostly being allowed to be there. It would be the exact same as him being gifted some pages.
      Also, abusing it is hard. Remember that the protection is account based, not character based. You can't keep making new characters to gain the protection again.

      Gear in general.

      You can't repair items in Fractured.
      I know that at first it may sound a bit weird, but once you play with it, you discover that it creates a system where you don't have to make it impossibly grindy to get good equip, since it isn't permanent, and that it makes wonders for the game economy.

      Shatter wards works wonderfully as everyone who fights elementals has unfortunately discovered.

      In your case it didn't work because you realized the typical scenario of "The unstoppable" against "The unmovable". In this case the Unmovable wins. Globe of spell protection, protects the caster from any single targeted spells. Shatter wards is a single targeted spell, so even if it is made to destroy protections, it cannot destroy this one.

    • Additional penalties on death for bounty hunters

      According to the last roadmap, blue players will only drop 1 or 2 items on death. This is fine if we consider that blue players are usually gatherers or players doing low level content. They don't actually stand a real chance in a fight so they also don't suffer most of the consequences.
      The problem I see with this though is that Bounty Hunters too are blue, and they are very very ready to fight. They are out there looking to take heads.
      Doesn't seem fair that in a Red vs Bounty Hunter fight, the only one risking something is the Red.
      Being a Bounty Hunter should provide you with the chance to reap a reward from hunting Reds, but should also lose you the blue protection, or at least a part of it.

      This is something that was not detailed in the roadmap, so maybe that this is already planned. Just wanted to make sure that this aspect was considered.

      The alpha ended around November.

      We are waiting for the beta to start, so no, purchasing the pack now wouldn't let you play immediately,
