    • Packing Station Solution Idea

      It isn’t the time it takes to load my wagon that I mind but, is instead, the endless clicking and opening and closing of windows. So my idea is this, give us controls on the storage screen, just like there are on the packing screen, letting us select the number of and type of bags we want (maybe make it a bit simpler and just select cereals or proteins.) Then we could click on a button that says “Load Wagon” the window goes away and you click the wagon you want to load. Of course if the wagon has insufficient space you press esc and try again.

      Then we wait while our character loads the wagon. Wonder of wonders with this solution we actually get to see the entire animation, the endless, and unnecessary, opening and closing of windows is gone, and yet the time it takes to load the wagon is still there like the developers want it to be. It is a win win in my opinion. I personally would like to watch the loading of the wagon uninterrupted.

    • RE: Gathered Feedback: Restrict buyers to only lowest cost items

      What about a popup notice stating that “This item is available at a lower cost in this market. Are you sure you wish to make this purchase?” This makes the buyer aware that they are about to pay a higher price but still gives them the option to do so if for some reason that is what they wish.

      But to come back to the topic, I will forward it.

      @spoletta I think we have enough cotton for it 🙂 I bet we could build a sunshade big enough to cover the entire surface of Myr while we're at it too!

    • The Evil of Cotton Balls!!!

      Cotton: a flowering plant, occasionally necessary to increase the nutrients in the soil of a cities’ fields.

      Cotton Balls: an evil byproduct of cotton, that is momentarily useful, but then quickly fills up storage space like Tribbles on the spaceship Enterprise.

      Yes, when it comes to farming, cotton fields are occasionally necessary; there is just no way around it. However, the long term result is being buried alive in cotton balls. At first you can make cotton cloth out of them and this is a benefit to your skills. After you no longer benefit from crafting cotton cloth, however, the cotton ball is useless.

      Cotton cloth, made from cotton balls, has no real useful purpose. In almost all ways clothing made from other materials makes better clothing. Cotton cloth is, unfortunately, unsellable even for the lowest of prices.

      Likewise cotton balls do not sell. No one needs them and therefore no one wants them. I know this for a fact as I am a farmer and currently have 11,000 + cotton balls & 1000 + cotton cloth that no one wants at any price.

      Either we should be allowed to plow under cotton so we no longer need to deal with these evil cotton balls, if we don’t want too, or other uses for cotton balls must be found. Perhaps we can make slightly better bandages with them (10 or {25} cotton balls = 1 good bandage)? There could always be better clothing. Something! Anything! Just save us from these evil balls of cotton PLEASE!!!

    • RE: Website Relaunch!

      I have to take great issue with the Screenshot “house-and-garden.jpg” It gives the distinct impression that a player can create a garden or farm on their own property. There are already many folks, in game, asking about doing this very thing and being disappointed when they find out that they can’t. So, to instill the belief in them that it is, in fact, quite possible with that screenshot on the website is just wrong, in my opinion anyway.

      A better screenshot would be of the fields, without a house, and title it simply “farming”

      After multiple attemps to "login" it still says login or signup. I have finally managed to click some mysterious combination of buttons that let me land on the forums. Oh hey this is where I wanted to be to begin with. Now I worry that if I click away or close my browser I will never get back in. Also, I see that OlivePit mentioned that the Foundation Ranking and Reward System is 'under construction' why is this. I don't understand the point of putting up the new website in this condition.

    • RE: Horse death

      My thoughts on horses

      I do not like the idea of my horse dying. With that said, however, I do not believe that a single horse should be eternal. I think that horses should have life stages: young, adult, experienced, and senior, perhaps. Stats could be reflective of these life stages and adjust up or down depending. This of course would be in conjunction with whatever natural stats your horse happens to be gifted with.

      I would also like to see the option to free my horse before it dies in battle. If I know my horse is about to go down under me for the final time the option to kick free of the saddle and let it run would be nice. I’ll take a penalty hit for it if need be.

      Let us retire our horses. I don’t want to kill my horse because he is old; I want him to go out to pasture and enjoy the rest and relaxation that he has earned. Oh, and let us not forget the terrible, horrible removal of a horse token from your inventory! When you try to remove a horse “token” from your inventory, by dropping it on the ground, the wording is such that you are, in fact, killing your horse. Not cool! It should say “Free your horse” even if there is no added graphic and no additional horse is actually added to the world.

      Horses make Fractured Online so much more enjoyable then it would be without them. I know that love for them it down the road but I wanted to add my two bits.

      @StormBug said in Character ID 603 already logged in to world:

      @Arcahem or @Lunoshi I can’t play because my Character ID 603 is already logged in to the world. I have less than 24 before I leave on vacation with no access to a computer. Would one of you please get me back into the game so I can play? Pretty please?

      So, 8 days later and I still can’t login. I know that the extended lockout is an issue for multiple people and not just me. The really exciting thing about this fact though folks, the part I truly like best about not getting to play this game, is that those that should be responding to these posts and the bug reports in Discord, obviously don’t give a rats butt about us or this issue. If they did then they would at the very least let us know what to expect. However, we are left in the dark and have no idea when we will be able to play again.

      I do understand that the devs can’t drop what they are doing to fix every little issue. We do have several folks between us and the devs however, and they are quite capable of communication, even if they aren’t able to fix the problem. Specter used to be a God in this department, he COMMUNICATED!

      We need a post from some form of game management about this issue. It is only fair to those of us who paid to be in on this level of testing. We can’t test if we can’t play, so at the very least let us know what to expect in regards to getting back online.

      @TekNicTerror I am not saying that your ideas don't have some merit (although I believe that the title of King is already reserved for one Kickstarter individual) but that this thread is about a very specific problem that needs a pretty immediate solution. Your ideas were too much for this thread. It would be fun to talk about some of the ideas that you brought up in a separate thread though.

    • RE: Citizens, Farming, and trust.

      @TekNicTerror

      Ahhhh, what? You are making it very complicated. First of all, no one other than a Governor or Lieutenant Governor should ever be able to adjust research points, place buildings of any kind, or accept or remove citizens or any of the other things that you have listed. FFA is currently a great example of why!

      Lieutenant Governors are trusted to carry out all of the duties of a Governor but frequently check in with their Governor to be sure that their actions fall in line with policy. They may be friends or have proven themselves trustworthy in some other way. To put it bluntly, they can be trusted not to screw over the Governor, the city, or its citizens.

      Citizens, on the other hand, are often of unknown quality. They are simply new faces in town. While this doesn’t mean that they aren’t fine upstanding people it does mean that there is no way, at least in the short term, to determine if it is safe to give them control over any aspect of a city.

      However, at this moment we are discussing issues with farming and the fact that we can’t trust the “citizens” of a city to keep their greedy hands of the fields. So far @OlivePit solution is the best and most efficient one I have heard and I seriously hope that the Devs take it under advisement and soon. Seriously @LordSkykal I can’t keep chasing ghosts in the fields hoping that we can salvage enough to make the next upkeep. We need a solution, soon… Perhaps a word in the right ear, if possible?

    • RE: Citizens, Farming, and trust.

      @OlivePit
      I think that it is the perfect solution and that it can’t come soon enough. We have had the nutrition on the soil for our cereals reduced to 59% by careless, greedy folks. Our city is going to be in debt because the same folks can’t wait a few hours for the rice to finish growing. Instead they rip out the rice and plant cotton!

      At this point I am not even getting to play the game as anything other than a farmer, and to be honest it is a losing battle with no way to know who the bad guys are or prevent them from ruining the fields. We have to have a solution or the whole thing is pointless and this is the best solution I have heard.

    • RE: Temperatures & Weather Feedback Thread

      I absolutely love the weather! It makes the game feel much more immersive. However, the rain does look a bit odd when you are moving fast. The long stripes of rain are the worst at high speed as they can appear to bounce. I had thought that maybe you could make them a bit shorter but then I was thinking perhaps just adding some transparency to them might work better. The sound effects are fantastic!

      Puddles should also accumulate and grow larger as the rain continues and not just the splashes on the ground that we have now, although those are great. Crop irrigation must go up in the rain not down; that was a bit startling to watch (I’m guessing it is just not implemented yet.)

      I have not yet been in a blizzard so have no feedback on one yet. I will get back to you when I have the chance to encounter one.

      I have been working on dressing for the weather and trying to find the right armor for the temperature, that will still protect me from what I want to fight, fits my budget, or that I am able to craft has been interesting. However, I am enjoying the challenge.

      I think that if you move indoors with a lit hearth that cold stacks should rapidly go away. This should not work with heat stacks though, so maybe we could be able to extinguish or light a fire in a house or tavern to indicate whether we were heating or cooling the building. Just a thought.

      My two bits so far…

      @OlivePit
      You are not being crop obsessed. I went and watched the crops in FFA to see if the rain would irrigate our crops or if I needed to start watering. I actually watched the irrigation on one field go down while it was raining! This is just dumb. I can understand if the devs don't want the fields to be at 100% just because it rained. It would be to easy for us to leave the watering untierly up to the rain but it should go up a few percent and it should never go down!

    • RE: [Prestige] Towns prestige is stucking, decaying and counting wrong

      @Vortech I shared before the hot fix and was really hoping that something would be done when they fixed the trees. I was so angry last night when I saw how much we had lost and realized that we, and others, would never reach level 15. I am so glad that we were finally heard and that something is being done about it.

      I really do feel for the Dynamight team in that they will likely have to rewrite the code from scratch but this is a city breaking issue and should have been addressed before today. I do hope that they are able to get it done soon as I like the prestige factore in upgrading a city and it is going to be very strange without it. (better than broken though 🙂
