      @Farlander Yes this is still a problem, and I agree most wholeheartedly that this is not realistic or fair. To top it off there isn't even any way to tell who is doing the stealing unless you actually catch them in the act. We have no locks, no guards, not even any records of who accessed the tubs or smelters. Quite simply, we are at the moment, doomed.

      @GamerSeuss your idea would be fine except for the fact that for many folks their real life won't allow for this. It just isn't fair to penalize folks that have a limited amount of play time. This is one of the reasons that I like spoletta's idea so much; it take into consideration the fact that it might be a while before you can get back to the smelter or tanning tub.

      @spoletta I love the idea. Since the storage space would only hold what the smelters or tanning tubs can hold to begin with, and you can’t place new ingredients in until you take your old product out, it really isn’t any different than the item sitting in a smelter or tanning tub to begin with. The only differences are that no one can steal your items and no one can go missing and prevent others from using the facilities indefinitely.

      I see it as a bending of the rules as opposed to a breaking of them. It is the best solution I have heard yet.

      This morning I almost quit out of frustration and and anger. I had 4 moon steel ingots stolen from advanced smelters on a friend’s limited access plot. These smelters should have been a safe solution as only “trusted” folks had access and yet, despite this, I still had my ingots stolen. BTW there is a chest to place them in if you need to use the smelter and someone has finished ingots in it, so there is no excuse. Don’t even get me started on how impossible it is to use a fully public smelter or tanning tub. Unless you are standing over it when your items are done then you aren’t getting them and sometimes there will even be someone there waiting for your items to finish so they can steal it out from under you if they are faster (I’ve had it happen.) It’s simple, the inability to create and retrieve ingots and leather is way out of hand.

      I don’t believe the best solution is to turn your personal plot into a factory, but this is what I have had to do. Please @Prometheus, a real resolution to the theft of leather from tanning tubs and ingots from smelters must be found and soon.

      Now I will agree with you on the forges. There is no reason to place those in your yard. When it comes to the smelters or tanning tubs, however, I disagree completely. Here is why. Theft! Theft! Theft! It is totally impossible to place ore in a smelter or hides in a tanning tub and have any guarantee that they will be there when you come back.

      I once had someone stand over the tanning tubs I was using, just waiting for my leather to finish so they could snatch it before I could. Their excuse, “someone stole mine so I am stealing yours.”

      So no, until there is a solution to the theft I will place as many smelters, or tanning tubs in my yard as I need. I agree it looks bad and I hate doing it but I hate having my hard work stolen more.

      I know exactly what you mean @grofire The log hits the ground and bounces and flips around some and lands on the ground, which is fine but then it kind of hesitates and then bounces back into the air and flips again. It does this several times like it has a life of its own. First time I saw it I laughed so hard and the folks on Discord were asking me what was so darn funny. That one log is absolutely full of bugs.

    • Woodworking Table Can't Make Shields

      The Woodworking Table is not allowing us to create shields. It does show, what I believe to be the correct ingredients, however, the image and text are for a wooden pole. An attempt at crafting does nothing. Please, please fix this one soon.

      I certainly was annoyed to use the materials and then discover that they were wasted because I couldn't turn the arrowheads into arrows. I'm not new either. I just never made the metal arrowheads last test so didn't realize it was an issue until now. Frustrating to waste materials like that!

    • To Exit and Enter Towns with Walls, Issues

      When attempting to enter or exit a town with walls you quite often end up running along the wall instead of going through the gate. This happens whether you are walking or mounted. It can be very frustrating. If you are quick and precise with your clicks you can avoid the issue most of the time but it is still problematic. It would be nice if a solid solution could be found.

      Oh yes. In fact, I would be more than willing to pay a bit of gold to use an Inn to restore just health while out in the wild. Those grey ticks are murder. Our guild has an unwritten policy of three ticks down and we head home. Would sure be nice to get to stay out just a bit longer.

      When the alternative is traveling to cities that allow open PvP or might kill you once you get near their gate, I think the utility of inns as travel waypoints and rest stops reveals itself.

      I could agree with it but only if the hearth was limited to allowing you to regain your health. It should not include skill memorization or anything else. It would help compensate for those PVE folks that stick it out in the wild until they have a mostly grey bar and are trying to limp home. They can get rid of the grey bar and have enough health to make it home in a PVP world. No other perks should be provided though; it just makes it too easy.
