      @Prometheus or @Specter or anybody

      Could you find out if this bug is affecting in game stats please? I am forced to run around as a male wearing only pants no matter what I equip. The log-in screen shows that I am a female with the armor I have equipped but in game nothing shows up. I seem to be getting killed a lot easier than the last test and I want to make sure that it isn’t because the armor isn’t being implemented when I equip it.

      Nothing I do, including creating a new character has any effect on this bug.

      Thank you very much for any information that you can provide.

      It would all be funny except for the fact that even creating a new character doesn't fix the problem. I don't want to play a guy the whole test, and I am worried that whenever the problem gets fixed that it wont affect existing characters and I will have to start all over.

      When I log in my female character she turns into a male. That is just not right 🙂

      Which is another reason why a safe eviction system is good - it prevents alot of undesirable behaviour from taking place if people are forced to take drastic and griefing measures just to ensure they can live next to their city.

      You’re talking about people that just conquered a city being worried about taking drastic action to live next to their city. Isn’t that somewhat of an oxymoron? I’m sorry, but I couldn’t resist 🙂

      @Mirgannel12 They are definitely an evil guild; never mistake that. It is just that if Nekrage tells you something he means it. The Oran’Thul people were very helpful to me and mine in previous tests, however, the game has progressed to a point that good and evil must part ways. I would, at this point, not drive a wagon through their city as I would fully expect to be murdered, lol.

      @Rife said

      This is precisely the system I am advocating for, where when a city gets taken over, the new city owners have a period in which they can evict players from the residential area,

      No, you are talking about evicting people. I am talking about bribing them. The difference is, if you evict someone they have no choice; if you bribe someone they can turn you down and chose to stay. Eviction and bribery, in this case, are polar opposites.

    • RE: The Eviction/Refugee system ( Residential area solution for city takeovers )

      This whole discussion makes it sound like the entire game will be controlled by guilds and only by guilds. Now I suppose to a large degree that is true, however, I am enjoying the dilemmas that guilds will find when taking over a city. It should be hard!

      There are ways, that to this point, I have yet to see anyone mention. Perhaps I skimmed parts of the thread too fast but then again maybe they have not been brought up yet. For instance, the conquering guild members can simply camp outside of houses of those refusing to leave and continuously kill the resident every time they leave the property until they decide to move out. Evil yes, but effective I would think. Or the conquering guild could bribe people to leave. Give me enough money and a day to transport goods and I would likely relocate.

      I would imagine that it will be somewhat like taking over a real city. You are going to get a mixed bag. In real life if you take over a city and your invading force has more invaders than empty housing then you are faced with a multitude of problems. Also, you will have housing occupied by friendly and enemy occupants. It is what makes life interesting…

      @Xzait In several previous tests @Nekrage was gracious enough to allow our tiny guild the DnDeviants to be part of The Oran’Thul city despite the fact that we are a good guild. His entire guild was wonderful and I have a lot of respect for him, Harleyyelrah and the rest of the members of The Oran’Thul. If he says that he doesn't want to "be a dick about it" then I believe him.

      If there is going to be a planned, friendly, type siege I hope that someone posts about it to that those of us not in the cities involved can chose a side and help out. Sounds like a blast!

      @Kralith Hello and thanks for letting us set up residence in your city. My brother, GamerSeuss, is correct; I play warrior types and love to build and mine. In fact if I run out of city buildings to work on and my guildies and I have houses completed I may just pick a random house to work on. Yes, you may logoff with your house half built and log on to see it completed (but don’t count on it, lol).

    • RE: Garbage game for Garbage humans.

      Excuse you, I am NOT a garbage human (nor are any of us that love Fractured) and this is not a garbage game. Talk about being rude. If you have a problem with the game fine but you don’t have to run down the people that play it.

      I don’t know what a "sheep" crafter is or anything about legends of aria but I do know that Fractured offers something for everyone. Yes, the game is still in Alpha testing (hello, ALPHA testing) and not everything is available during every test but the endgame will be a well-balanced game that any play style should love to play.

      So please, check the nasty at the door because it isn’t welcome here.

    • RE: Death Penalty of losing all gear and inventory: WORST IDEA EVER!!!

      @Roccandil said in Death Penalty of losing all gear and inventory: WORST IDEA EVER!!!:

      One death, and your team is broken, and you've got to wait for someone to ride out to try again.

      That's just it; they made it so very hard to actually die that there should be a very serious punishment for it. It is very easy to avoid "death" and that is the point I am trying to make. If folks simply pay attention to what they are doing then "death" is not something that will happen often. Also if you know how the game works then you will never have to travel that far if you do experience "death".

      You simply have to know when to fight and when to run.

      The idea that you should lose gear and location for death in PvE is so destructive I wonder if anyone pushing it isn't trying to sabotage the game. Either that, or it shows no idea is so bad it can't find defenders! 😛

      Sabotage the game? Because I don't subscribe to what I consider a nerfed system of death? I don't see why PVE has to be so easy. I think this is what is frustrating me the most. It seems that so many PVE advocates are for this protected system of death. Why? Why does PVE have to be so easy.

      There are, as I have had it pointed out to me, many games out there that make it easy on PVE, so why don't folks just go play those. Myself, I am sick of them. I like how Fracture is currently structured. I sleep in an inn or house near where I am going to be fighting so I don't have a long run if I do experience "death" I pay attention to my health and ensure that I return to the inn or house to replenish my health if I get knocked down a few times so as not to actually "die" Very easy. Almost too easy.
